i continued to toss and turn.. for some odd reason i cannot sleep. i opened my eyes and looked at juju who was sleeping peacefully. i smiled at her & slowly got out of bed. i walked to the balcony quietly closing the door. i sat down and unlocked my phone.

going through my "favorite folder" i went through all the pictures of me and my brother. he was my best friend even if he was older than me. even tho he was a male we were inseparable. he was my protector.

"i got married big brother can you believe it ? i never thought i would fall in love let alone get married but i wouldn't change it for the world. i hope your proud of me. i felt your presence at the wedding more than i thought"

"the wnba is going so good. i made it! it's been my dream since a little girl and i did for you. i love you and i miss you" i said quietly.

"baby ?" i heard making me jump.

"woah it's okay it's just me" juju said.

"sorry, did i wake you ?"

"no you didn't, i just realized you weren't in bed so i came to check on you. babe it's 2 a.m. you okay ?" she asked.

"mhm just chillin"

"mama be honest with me. you can talk me love and yk that"

"i couldn't sleep. idk why but i couldn't. but my brother was on my mind heavy so i came to talk to him" i replied.

i watched as she nodded sitting down beside me. her hair was everywhere and she had her sleepy voice. she wrapped her arm around my waist.

"proud of you baby" she said.

"thank you. i feel so much better now" i smiled at her.

"can we cuddle ?" i asked.

"mhm let's go" she said grabbing my hand.

we got into bed and i cuddled up to her closely. i played with the wedding ring that sat on her left ring finger. it was gorgeous. marrying her was the best decision i ever made.

"we're really married" i said smiling at her.

"mhm the best decision i ever made" she said kissing my cheek.

"girl no" i said as me and kk got ready to go to the beach & explore.

"okay i'm ready" she said turning the bathroom light off.

we walked out of the airbnb and towards a drink shop. it's hot here and we didn't wanna get dehydrated. we got cute drinks and headed to the beach.

"I LOVE THE BEACH" kk yelled running into the water.

i grabbed my phone and took pictures/videos of of her. i love seeing her so happy. because everything she's been through she deserves the world. i'm happy i get to call her my wife tho.

"babe don't be lame come on" she said and i nodded.

"have you ever thought about what your genes would look like on a little girl" kk asked me.

"i- no lol.. but thinking about it i think she would be so adorable" i said making her giggle.

"can't wait to find out"

"and what if it's a boy ?"

"mm still gonna be so adorable" kk said making me nod.

"so we can both agree you carry the first baby ?" kk asked.

"uhh i mean i don't mind but why can't you ?" i asked.

"idk i just think you'll be better. i'm scared" she admitted.

"we'll figure it out my love" i said kissing her.

we leaned in and shared a kiss. we've been through so much together and it's only gonna get better from here. even through long distancing our connection is so strong and the love we have for each other is forever.
