today is our first game against Connecticut. i'm actually really excited not just for me but for kk as well. just because we playing against each other don't mean we shouldn't play our hardest.

i picked up my phone & texted kk to give her a little motivation. i don't want her to even think about not playing her best because we're playing each other.

i smiled and hearted the message sitting my phone down. i went and joined the team for warmups.

"so are yo nervous about playing your fiancé ?" chenn asked me.

"not really. kk's amazing & we both promised each other to give 100% energy just like we would when we're playing someone else." i said and she nodded smiling.

"that's cute period" chenn said.

we walked out the floor and the game started. kamilla and dewanna jumped ball and it landed in kk's hand. she dribbled the ball going up. i jumped up and blocked it.

"proud of you" she mouthed.

"thank you love" i mouthed back.

after they checked the ball in it was passed to dewanna who laid it up. i ran down court and chenn dribbled the ball down. i was trying to get open at either the rim or at the top of the key.

i was open at the key so i dribbled in hitting a jump shot.

"good shot" angel said as we slapped hands.

chicago was down 84-91 it was still the 4th quarter with 3:09 seconds on the clock.

juju had 19 pts & kk had 21 pts. they both could tell they were going hard even when playing against each other. because when it came to basketball them being engaged didn't matter.

kk ran down court and her teammates ty threw a long pass to her & she did a reverse layup.

juju ran down court where she made a pass to marina who popped a 3. juju put 3 fingers up & Connecticut called for a time out.

in the end chicago came short. 91-93. juju finished with 24 pts & kk finished with 26. the teams got in line and shook hands. kk and juju got to each other and smiled.

"good game" they said to each other.

juju pulled her into a tight hug rocking them back & fourth. they shared a kiss.

"proud of you" juju said to kk.

"thank you mama. i'm proud of you too. you blocked like 7 of my shots" she said giggling.

"do you wanna go to the same dress shop just at different times or just go to a different one ?" i asked juju.

"mm we just go to different just to be safe" she said and i nodded.

2 weeks left until the wedding and my anxiety is through the roof tryna make sure we got everything. i just booked my nail, hair, and makeup appointment and so did juju.

the only thing now is dress shopping and i'm going this weekend. i'm hoping i can find a dress i will love and look good in because i doubt i would have time to look for a suit.

we texted the gc to make sure everyone had everything.

kk: you guys.. so yk the wedding is in two weeks and we wanna make sure everyone have everything!

bryce: yup our suits just came in so they are in our closest.

aaliyah: and mine too. it came sometime last week.

jada: and we got our dresses picked out! me, amoura, and rayah booked our hair, nails, and makeup appt already!

we continued to talk in the gc mostly about the wedding. 2 weeks is close but i'm so excited. both juju and i are so ready to be in each others arms again but this time as wife & wife.
