"no mom i'm good seriously, you just can't except the fact that you have no control of me or my body & emotions anymore" i said into the phone.

i looked up and saw juju staring.

"what she want ?" she mouthed at me.

i held my finger telling her i will explain in a minute my mother is on and on about why i should come back home.

she nodded at me and sat down on her bed grabbing her laptop. i continued pacing back and fourth trying not to snap on her cus she really making me mad.

"i'm not coming home okay. you did that when you ruined our relationship" i said.

"okay that's fine now bye" i said huffing hanging up the phone.

i walked to the bathroom and washed my face. i heard juju knock.

"baby you okay ?" she asked .

"yes i'm coming out" i said.

i walked out going to her bed sitting down. she stared at me and sat down beside me.

"what did she say ?" she asked me.

"she wanted me to come home and talk but honestly we ain't gone do nun but argue cus she ain't changed so im not waisting my breath or time" i said.

"well i'm proud of you baby. you really standing yo ground and i love that for you!" she said kissing my cheek.

i smiled and hugged her. because she helped me through so much when it came to my family. she made sure i was good everytime even when we wasn't on the best terms and that's all i want from her.

"thank you pretty." i said.

i crawled up to her laying my head on her chest. she caressed my forehead and i could feel myself drifting off to sleep.

"THERE YOU GO KAITLYN" i yelled as she shot a 3 pointer. we slapped hands and ran back on defense.

i watched as kk came down with the ball.. she drove in laying it up but dominique pushed her from behind and she quickly hit the floor.

i ran over to her helping her up.

"you good ?" i asked and she nodded.

she looked up and stared at dominique and just by the look in her eyes i could tell she wasn't playing. kk walked up to her getting in her face.

i ran over to her grabbing kk's waist.

"ayee stop it baby you good" i yelled but she was heated.

i forcefully stepped into between the two pushing kk back. i stared into her eyes hoping it would calm her down.

"mamas, calm down it's okay i promise. calm down" i said and she stared at me put stopped trying to go at her.

"now both of ya'll needa stop okay we are a team."

"she the one that pushed me, that's my biggest pet peeve and she know that" kk yelled.

"man i'm just competitive i can't help that you with big dawg now" dominique said.

"man since you so competitive how about you be normal and block that sh** instead of pushing. you ain't no big dawg that's a coward move" kk said.

"BOTH OF YALL STOP IT. first of all both of yall wrong" i said looking between them.

"come on girl let's get you something to drink" rayah said grabbing kk's shoulders.

"man yall weak" dominique mumbled.

"but yet you mumbling tho. say that sh** with yo chest" i said laughing.

"again both of yall wrong. you, you gotta stop pushing people cus they set a lot of folks off and we not be able to hold them back everytime. like she said block it like a normal person" i said

"and you. stop acting out of retaliation mamas. use that and take it to better yourself hint's why your a starter and she's not" i said looking at her.

"you always say ignore but they keep messing with me" kk said.

"and that's fine people gone be ignorant but you gotta let them be. you better than that act like it" i said.

"now BOTH of yall are teammates. we don't have time to be at each others throats. your teammates so ACT LIKE IT" i said grabbing a ball.

after practice we headed to the locker room and i changed out of my practice jersey. the team talked about random stuff but i could still feel the tension between kk & dominique.

i grabbed my stuff and waited for kk before saying bye to the team. we walked to my car and i drove to chic-fil-a to treat kk since she's had a rough day.

"here baby" i said handing her the bag.

she looked at me and her mean mugged turned into a smile. she hugged me tightly.

"thank you" she said happily.

i love seeing that smile.. the happiness that's all i ever wanna see especially with everything shes been through she deserves the world.

"yw, hey yk i'm only tryna to protect you right ? i wasn't trying to be mean" i said touching her thigh.

"i know. thank you your such a calm person" she said and i smiled nodded at her

"no rayah your my favorite girl ever" i said hugging her.

"aww your my favorite kk bug" she said hugging me back.

"i got you bronny."

"ofc, love you best" juju said before hanging up.

she walked into the kitchen and sat beside rayah. her mom was cooking us dinner & iykyk her momma can throw down in the kitchen.

"ma i just want you to know i love your food so much you are so gifted" rayah said.

"thank you baby i'm glad somebody appreciate my cooking" she said eyeing juju.

"hey i love your cooking to mama" i said.

"yeah you two do and it makes me happy but someone's a little bougie" she said.

"whatever mommy, i love your cooking and i tell you that sometimes" juju said laughing.

sari, handed all 3 of us a plate and gave us some sweet tea. and yk me i'm finna tear down and ain't no shame about it.

we finished dinner and went to juju's room cus apparently rayah has some tea about her "situationship".
