8 Second Task
Part8 Second Task
LONG UPDATE
Aman entered Arnav's cabin after knocking on the door.
"Yeah, Aman?"
"Shall I ask you something, ASR?"
"What?"
"Being the manager of AR, I think, I should know its clause and rules thoroughly."
Arnav looked at him in the manner of "what the hell do you want to know" as he understood, to which point he is coming.
"Do you add any new rule in AR clause?"
Arnav looked at him said nothing.
"Khushi told us about the proficiency period and also MUST WORK period rule. The much I know, there is no such rule in AR..."
"Haan, I have added a rule in the AR clause. We spend money and time to fill the posts. If they resign the job, all our effort goes in vain. And a few companies intentionally drag our workers to their company, after them learning good business technics from our company. To avoid those actions, I added a new rule"
"Oh... but you didn't say it to us?"
Taking the mobile from his pant pocket, Aman dialed Khushi, keeping his hand under the table, without Arnav's knowledge. Cutting the call, Khushi headed towards Arnav's cabin.
"I was about to say, you guys... before that, you asked me"
Arnav handled it cleverly.
They heard a knock on the door.
"Come in," said Arnav.
Arnav and Aman both were smirked, seeing Khushi, in a different manner.
"Ms. Gupta, why are roaming like this? I have assigned you a task already. Do it, then only you could go home. Remember?"
Khushi kept the PEN DRIVE on his table.
"Done sir"
"Whaaaat?" he asked frowning.
"I have finished the task which you assigned"
Arnav looked at her unbelievably as if she is a ghost.
"What do you mean?" he asked with extreme shock.
"I have made the database files, sir"
He took the pen drive hurriedly and inserted it in his laptop. There was five database file for five years.... neat and clean files. Arnav gulped hard couldn't believe. He raised his head tightening his jaws.
"Shall I go home, sir?"
Arnav was looking at her not knowing what to answer.
"You said I can go home, completing the task?"
Not answering her, Arnav looked at Aman who was trying hard to hide his smile which made him more annoyed.
"Aman, we have to deliver the orders before date. Remember?" He roared.
"Yes, ASR. But we are lack of materials. You know the reason. It will take time to get the material if we order again. However, we can't deliver the order before date."
"I don't want excuses but the output. We have to do it anyhow... I don't want AR's goodwill to get ruined. And... It seems my new PA is very talented. Use her to complete the task"
Aman frowned at him. How Khushi could help in this who is new to the company? He then understood Arnav just wants to stop Khushi from going home. This is an excuse not to accept his defeat.
"But ASR, Khushi could do nothing with this"
"You shouldn't underestimate Ms. Gupta, Aman."
He said rotating the pen drive.
Aman sighed and nodded yes. he left Arnav's cabin with Khushi.
Arnav couldn't believe that she finished the task so soon. But how? It's not possible even if Aman or NK helped her. Then how? How? How? Did anyone create those files already? Without his knowledge? He thought rubbish as his mind is completely messed. He could not come to the conclusion whether he should be happy to get a talented PA or should get angry for getting defeated.
"What's the issue Aman?" Khushi asked.
"We have to deliver the orders in a week. The truck which brought the required materials met with an accident and fell into the river. So we don't have enough materials to complete the tasks."
"Can't we get time from the customer?"
"Not at all Khushi. ASR is very strict in maintaining his words. He will never back off if he gets committed"
"That's great."
"Yeah... but we have to deliver the order."
"How many orders we have to deliver?"
"Three orders."
"AR is NO1 fashion house. I saw very few suppliers are continuing their business deals with it. Why not you have more suppliers especially local suppliers?"
"Loyalty and punctuality are important to maintain a good relationship with AR as well as ASR. ASR stopped many suppliers as they didn't follow business ethics. We have very few but good and loyal suppliers. All the suppliers are in other states. That's what problem"
"But what will you do now?"
"Our Boss wants YOU (he pressed) to sort this problem out"
Aman said that to pull her leg. But Khushi became serious.
"What about a local purchase?"
"AR is NO1 in quality, Khushi..."
Before he finishes...
"What do you mean by quality? You are talking like, only AR has quality? People in Delhi have no quality sense or what?"
"I'm not saying like that Khushi; satisfying ASR is not an easy task"
"Without trying, how can we say?"
Aman raised his hands up.
"Ok....I will go with your idea if it is acceptable"
"Get the samples. We will purchase them in Chandni chowk"
"Chandni Chowk?" Aman asked shockingly.
"Yeah..."
"But we need a huge amount of material Khushi"
"Have you ever seen a whole sale shop of Chandni Chowk?"
Aman nodded NO.
"You will see that today. Collect the samples and come with me"
Aman was surprised by her approach. Seeing her trying to sort the problem out, he decided to go with her. He collected all the samples and left with Khushi.
...
Aman never prefers crowd. Being with ASR, he also hates the crowd. But he can't give such an excuse in the Chandni Chowk market where we can see nothing other than the crowd. Aman huffed in relief as Khushi entered into a shop.
Aman was dumbfounded seeing the shop. Though it looked very small and old from outside it was unimaginably spacious from inside. There were many GOOD QUALITY materials on the floor very casually. He could see almost all the needed materials there.
"Arrey Khushi Bitiya" An old man greeted Khushi.
"Assalamu Alaikum, Kareem Bhai" Khushi smiled
"Waalaikum assalam"
"How are you Bhai?"
"Fine by Allah's grace. Why have you not seen here like before? Is not your sister doing AARI WORK these days?"
"You are right Bhai because she is pregnant"
"Yahhhh Allah...that's great."
"Kareem Bhai, Do you know AR fashion house?"
"Why not... How famous it is..."
"He is Aman Mathur. AR's manager"
"Whaaaat? Really?" he asked excitedly.
Aman smiled at him.
"But Khushi bitiya, how do you know him?"
"I got a job in AR Bhai"
"That's so nice to hear. What can I do for you?"
"Our company wants a few materials immediately. It's very urgent"
"Give me the samples. I will deliver them by tomorrow morning"
"Could you?"
"Why not? If I don't have it then I will get it from my son-in-law's shop"
"That's cool"
Aman passed the samples to Kareem. Kareem smiled while checking the samples.
"By Allah's grace, everything is available in my shop"
"We will pay the advance in the morning and then you can send the load," Aman said politely.
"Arrey, who asked you to pay the advance? You can settle the bill later. No urgency."
"But... the amount is very huge"
"So what? The name AR is not enough?"
Aman nodded yes smilingly.
"Can I get your material samples? I have to show it to ASR"
"Sure"
He called a worker and ordered to collect the samples.
"Thank you Kareem Bhai. We will be waiting for the load tomorrow morning."
"Sure"
"Where is Aisha?" Khushi asked.
"She has not come from school yet"
Khushi removed bar chocolate from her bag and extended it to Kareem.
"Won't you forget it?" Kareem laughed.
"How could I disappoint Aisha? Tell her, I haven't forgotten her"
Kareem nodded OK.
"See you Bhai"
"See you bitiya"
They came out of the shop. Aman was still not come out of the surprise. He couldn't believe that their biggest problem got solved. He looked at Khushi who was like, "I did nothing". How simple this girl is....
Khushi looked at him and asked him, raising her eyebrows, like "what?" Aman got embarrassed and composed himself.
"Who is Aisha?" He asked something...
"Kareem Bhai's granddaughter. She always stays with Kareem Bhai. I used to give her chocolate. One day I forgot to bring it. She asked me with a changed face, "have you forgotten me?" After that, I never missed giving her chocolate"
Khushi smiled.
"Is it necessary to bribe a little girl?" Aman teased her.
Khushi chuckled at his statement.
"Of course, it is... if it is for good intention"
"What's the intention?"
"Is it not good to make someone happy?"
"Yeah.... You know, you are going to make ASR happy as you sorted out the problem"
"I have done the job assigned to me. That's all"
Aman smiled, so she took Arnav's words seriously.
"No Khushi, I can bet, it will change ASR's complete view because what you have done is something beyond the limit"
"I won't agree. Mr' Raizada is also thinking of sorting out the issue right now. and he will do it for sure."
"Maybe, he could sort it out easily if he calls our old suppliers but he won't do that."
"It's not necessary though. You told me that he stopped them because they were not following business ethics. Then no need to bring them again"
"Thank God, you sort it out. Or else we would have left with no choice"
They reached AR. Aman stopped the car in the parking lot. They got into the office and saw Arnav standing near Aman's cabin searching for him.
"Where the hell were you?" he shouted.
"We are collecting required samples in the godown, ASR"
Khushi looked at him surprisingly. Why is he lying?
"What do you do about the orders?"
"We started working on it ASR. We will find a solution by tomorrow morning"
"If you don't do that I will fire you"
He left the place after uttering it with a firing look.
"Will he fire you?"
Khushi asked shockingly.
"How could he? We sorted out the problem already."
Aman laughed.
"He looks angry but you are laughing?"
"His anger won't harm his beloved ones"
"Beloved one?"
"We are friends since school days" Aman smiled.
"Really?"
"Yeah, he is so good but little egoistic. He wants to be the best in everything. He won't bear if he loses his place. He will do anything to get it".
"But why didn't you say that we have arranged the materials?"
"Let's give him a surprise."
"But we will be restless until then"
"It doesn't matter"
Aman went to his cabin casually. Khushi couldn't understand why he doesn't want to say about it.
Aman smirked, Arnav will definitely try to sort the problem out but he won't go to his old suppliers, leaving his ego. He will get to know the seriousness of the issue only if he fails to sort it out. Aman doesn't want Arnav to trouble Khushi in upcoming days. Arnav will mellow down for sure if he gets to know the issue was sorted out by Khushi because Arnav is an angry man but not unthankful. Aman knew it.

Khushi felt someone tapping her shoulder. She turned and smiled seeing NK.
"Where were you? I came to your cabin."
"We went to Chandni Chowk"
"WE?"
"I and Aman"
"You and Aman...? Why?"
