65 Drunken Arnav
Part 65 Drunken Arnav
Khushi was thunder stuck, seeing his extended hands. Before getting close to him, she wanted to pour her heart into him. He will listen to her if she says anything. In this condition, Arnav will accept whatever she says about her past because he is emotionally affected now. It won't be the right choice to talk to him right away. She wants him to accept her with a clear mind. We knew LIGHT travels faster than anything ... But it's wrong. A HUMAN MIND travels faster than LIGHT. It crosses the galaxies in a swift. Likewise, in a swift of the moment, Khushi thought all of these.
But Arnav was not in the mood to give her more time to think about anything. Taking her hand, he pulled her towards him gently and hugged her with all his WAITING desire. After that move of Arnav, there was no idea in Khushi's mind to get away from him. She circled his waist making his lips curve into a cute smile. Arnav buried his face in the crook of her neck and she felt a shiver running up in her spine. She prayed inwardly not to lose her control. Though she prayed she didn't try to come out of his arms. She stood feeling the warmth of his touch. If Khushi's condition is like this, we don't have to say anything about Arnav's condition. He was lost in her. He stayed for a while without any movement forgetting everything... even his existence.
Slowly breaking the hug, Arnav; who has been emotionally dominated, cupped her face and leaned towards her lips. Khushi opened her eyes and jerked, seeing him so close to her face. understanding his intention, she pushed him away and rushed out, leaving disappointed Arnav.
Khushi went to the kitchen to make herself up. That's when she felt a touch on her shoulder. She saw Anjali standing behind her. She smiled at Anjali.
"I'm sorry for what just happened, Khushiji..." Anjali said with repentance.
"What was your mistake in that, Anjaliji?" Khushi asked touching her hand.
"It should not have happened, Khushiji... I was dying in fear, you know..." Fear was visible in her face and tone.
"Why Anjaliji? Don't you know about your brother?" Khushi asked smilingly.
"It doesn't matter whether I know about him or not but the situation matters. In that situation, no one believes the certainty but what they only see."
Khushi nodded yes.
"I'm glad that you saved him, Khushiji. I'm so glad about your trust for Chotte." Anjali said gladly.
"He deserves it Anjaliji..."
That stance made Anjali delighted.
"This is what Chotte liked you I suppose. Thank you for coming into Chotte's life and accepting him as your husband." She smiled.
"You don't have to thank me Anjaliji... I'm his wife..."
Anjali hugged her pleasantly.
"Don't wait for Chotte and you have dinner," Anjali said breaking the hug.
"But why Anjaliji?" Khushi asked couldn't understand the reason.
"Because Chotte will be late..."
"Late? Does he go somewhere?" Khushi questioned her.
"He just went out Khushiji.... Don't you know?" Anjali questioned her back.
Khushi was dumbfounded. Did he leave home?
"He prefers long drive whenever he is upset. I expected that he will go for a long drive tonight because I know he is upset because of Laya."
Khushi was gazing at Anjali with a horrified expression. She was not sure that Arnav had gone for a long drive because of Laya. She might be the reason for the long drive as she made him upset a few minutes ago. She felt bad. She smiled at Anjali and went to her room.
Khushi stopped, looking at Laya who was coming with Payal, taking her bags. Laya murmured something inaudible to anyone. But it was not hard for Khushi to guess that Laya is cursing her. Khushi shrugged it off and headed to her room, without minding about it. She knew the curse of an unmoral woman like Laya won't affect her.
Khushi was waiting for Arnav without eating. As Anjali said, Arnav came late. Khushi rushed to the door, hearing a knock on it. She opened the door and got stuck as Arnav was standing, leaning on the door with his coat on his shoulder. His "LOOK" looked different. He got inside and locked the door all the way looking at Khushi. He moved in. Khushi was dumbfounded, seeing him swaying a little. She inhaled the alcohol smell. The smell was undoubtedly from Arnav.
"Are you drunk?" She asked unbelievably.
Because of her biological father, she hates the drunken man to the core. She didn't expect Arnav would come into the list.
But... Arnav's words made her frown.
"Will you believe if I say I don't drink?" he asked smilingly.
"How could I believe your words when you are stinking?" she asked disappointedly.
"Ok... don't believe... like always..." Arnav said.
Khushi was hurt by his words.
"Don't I believe you?" She asked sadly.
"Yeah, you believed... In front of the people, you believed me... but what about inside the room?" He asked, throwing the coat on the floor which he never did before.
Khushi was speechless. What could she answer to this drunken man? She stood not answering. That's when they heard a knock on the door. It was Anjali.
"Khushiji..." Anjali knocked on the door again.
Before Khushi goes to the door, Arnav took lead and went to open the door.
"Chotte, when did you come?" Anjali asked looking at him.
"Just now Di..."
"Have you had dinner?"
"Not yet di..."
"Ok, I will bring your plate here." She was supposed to leave, saying that,
"No, Anjaliji... I will bring his dinner." Khushi tried to go out.
Arnav clutched her hand and stopped, not letting her leave the room. Anjali was surprised by his action whereas Khushi was flabbergasted.
"Not now di... I will eat later." Arnav said looking at Khushi.
"Ok..." Anjali sensed something is running between them.
She went and stopped at the doorstep.
"Are you alright Chotte?" She asked, glancing at Khushi.
"I'm alright..." He said without leaving Khushi's hand.
"ok... I will send your plate with Hari Prakash Ji..." Saying that she left.
Leaving Khushi's hand, he closed the door.
"Am I alright, Khushi?" He asked her with a fainting smile.
Khushi was standing like a statue, without answering.
"Don't you know how much I'm disturbed by you?"
Khushi looked down with repentance.
Arnav started, taking slow and steady steps towards her whereas Khushi started taking back steps. She hit on the wall and Arnav arrested her in between his hands.
"Tell me Khushi... would you ever give me a chance to say what I wanted to?"
Khushi was embarrassing like hell. She did not expect Arnav drinks. He looked like a half-minded person. That's why he is blabbering. Or else, Arnav Singh Raizada and opening his mouth? Before she said anything, Arnav spoke.
"I know you are angry with me... I forced you to marry me. I know I was wrong but I had no choice... Don't I deserve a chance to rectify my mistake? Won't you give me a chance to say what I feel for you, Khushi?"
How could she say even she is waiting for a chance to pour her heart to him?
Again they heard a knock and this time Arnav got irritated. It must be Hari Prakash. Anjali would have sent him with the dinner plate. He took his hands from the wall but blocked Khushi's way not letting her take a step away. It seems, he is fully set to crack all the issues between them today itself.
"Who is that?" Arnav asked.
"Arnav baba, Anjali didi sent your dinner." Arnav got a reply from Hari Prakash.
"Come in." he permitted him to enter the room.
Hari Prakash got inside and kept the plate on the tea table. He left the room silently without looking here and there. And he didn't forget to close the door before leaving the place.
Arnav waited until he leaves. He again kept his hands on the wall, securing his wife in between his arms.
"Answer me, Khushi."
He continued the topic from the place where he stopped.
"Go and get fresh first. Dinner is waiting for you. Eat something." Khushi said looking at him.
"I don't want to eat anything."
"After taking alcohol, it's not advisable to sleep with an empty stomach..." Khushi chided him.
"What will happen if I sleep with an empty stomach?" he asked casually.
"Your health will get spoilt." She said as if he doesn't know that.
"What if my health gets spoilt?"
"What question is this?" she sighed wearily.
"You care for me... you support me... you trust me... but keep a distance from me... are not you?"
Khushi was perplexed.
"Ok...I will eat if you feed me." He demanded.
Khushi looked at him widening her eyes.
"Will you?"
She nodded her head slowly like OK.
"Really? Will you feed me?" he asked unbelievably.
"Hann..." she said in a shaky tone.
"Do you LOVE me?" Arnav asked her.
Khushi was thunder stuck by the direct hit. She looked at him with a shocking expression.
"I LOVE YOU, Khushi..." he confessed his love finally.
Khushi clutched her shawl tightly. There was a volcano eruption in her stomach. Why not? After all, the confession is from the great Arnav Singh Raizada. Of course, Arnav was drunk. Doesn't she know that the drunken man speaks only the truth?
"I love you so much...I wanted to marry you Khushi but you were not ready to marry me. That's why I forced you. Trust me, my intention was not bad. I have never seen a woman like you Khushi, what could I do when you ignored me? It felt like I was left alone in the world even though everyone is around me. I'm not defending my side. I know whatever I did is purely wrong. I should not have forced you but I forced you... that's why you are with me today. I wanted you to be with me because I love you damn it."
Khushi could not believe that she is hearing this emotion-filled confession from her husband the great Arnav Singh Raizada. She so wanted him to be in his sense. It would have been a historical moment of her life if he had not drunk today.
"I love you so much... do you love me?" he questioned her again.
Khushi understood that she was on the edge... she composed herself.
"You should eat..." She tried to divert the topic.
"No... until I get the answer from you, I won't eat." He said stubbornly.
"ARNAVJI please..." she uttered his name for the first time.
"Wow... finally... you have voiced my name out... instead of Mr RAIZADA...you called me ARNAVJI... sounds nice... but "JI" is unnecessary...because I know you respect me." He smiled.
"Come and eat."
Arnav nodded no.
"We will talk tomorrow morning..." She said looking at him sternly.
"Why? Why not now?"
"What is the use if I say what I feel for you? You are drunk. You will forget everything tomorrow morning..." she said the reality of the drunken man.
But, Arnav's next stance shook her to the core.
"I'm not drunk." He said calmly.
To be continued...
