55 Not a tough nut

Part 55 Not a tough nut

Khushi took blessings from Shashi and Garima and hugged Arpita. Garima took leave from Khushi. Gupta's left RM leaving Khushi with teary eyes. Arnav extended his handkerchief and Khushi didn't deny. She wiped her tears off with Arnav's handkerchief.

Anjali called them to perform the Grahapravesh ritual. Khushi kicked the rice Kalash and entered into RM, leaving her footprint on the floor as Raizada Bahu.

As per Raizada ritual, Groom would bring the bride inside the home by lifting her in his arms. But Arnav doesn't want to perform the ritual and make Khushi embarrassed. He asked Nani to avoid the ritual. Nani agreed to his request halfheartedly.

They were about to enter into RM, Manorama stopped them.

"Arnav bituwa, have you forgotten our custom?"

Of course, Nani told Manorama about Arnav's request but she was not ready to accept it. How could anyone miss the amazing ritual which can be performed only one time in life?

Arnav looked at Khushi who didn't get anything.

"You should carry Khushi in your arms Nannav," NK said who is ready to lift Lavanya.

Arnav looked at Anjali who gestured him to go ahead.

"Come on Arnav bituwa, NK and Lavanya are also waiting," Manorama said.

Khushi clutched the garland on her neck to control her nervousness. Without any choice, Arnav lifted her in his arms and walked inside, not looking at Khushi. She was also not looking at him but we can't say she doesn't enjoy the ritual. Arnav kept her down on the floor, looking at her face.

Arnav and NK asked to be in the living room. Anjali took Khushi to Arnav's room whereas Payal took Lavanya to NK's room.

Anjali made Khushi sit on Arnav's bed which was being decorated.

"Good night Khushiji"

Khushi smiled at her...

Anjali touched her cheek and left the room, closing the door.

Khushi's heart raced like a horse. Her attention went to the door as she heard a CLICK sound. She saw Arnav entering, closing the door. He saw Khushi sitting on HIS bed and he headed towards her. Khushi stood on the bed to get down. In the urgency, she stepped on her saree pallu and slipped from the bed. In no time, Arnav held her protectively. Getting detached from him, she took a few steps away from him hurriedly. Arnav pressed his lips together and raised his brows.

Khushi gathered her clothes from her bag and went to the washroom to get changed. Arnav changed his dress in the living room before Khushi comes. He sat on the recliner and waited.

Within a few minutes, Khushi came out of the washroom, changing into a nightgown. She kept her wedding dress in her bag.

"I will take the couch if you are not comfortable."

Hearing his stance, Khushi got stuck. She looked at him unbelievably. Would he really sleep on the couch?

"I have no problem sleeping on the couch..." he smiled understanding the reason for her shocking expression.

Khushi didn't know what to answer. It was least expected for her, after all. Could she say I'm comfortable to sleep with you on the same bed?

"No...it's not necessary." She said looking at somewhere.

"Really?" he asked with a lopsided smile.

"Jee..."

"Ok... you go to sleep. I have some work." He opened the laptop.

In fact, he doesn't have any particular work. He purposely searched for something in Google, supposing her to sleep peacefully. But Khushi didn't sleep easily. Not that, she doesn't trust him; she couldn't believe a man could be so gentle on his first night. She and Lavanya argued about MEN once in their college days.

Lavanya said, "A real man doesn't rush for the physical pleasure."

Khushi replied, "We can find such a man only in FICTIONS because those men do not exist."

She never expected she could meet such a person in her life and definitely not that the man would be her husband.

She opened her eyes again and again and looked at Arnav. After some time, she closed her eyes to get some sleep as she has to go to the office the next day.

Arnav shut the laptop off and looked at her. An adorable smile crept on his lips. Finally, she came to his family as his wife. Of course, Khushi is a tough nut to crack... but not an impossible nut.

He came to the bed and looked at her right palm. He smiled proudly seeing his name on her palm. Did she write it on her palm wholeheartedly or just for Anjali? He chuckled, thinking about how she looked at him unbelievably when he said he will sleep on the couch.

Of course, he forced her into the marriage. What could he do if she is not ready to marry him for a silly reason to which he is not related to? He forced her once... and he doesn't want to do it again for any reason. Let her be in her own space. She is the understanding girl he has ever seen. She doesn't need someone to teach her what to do. She herself will understand that. He just wants her to be with him... as his wife. And now, she is here... beside him...on his bed. He lay down on the bed, looking at her. Could he sleep? No way... had he had no office going tension as Khushi had.

Next Morning

Arnav slowly opened his eyes and saw a blissful sight in front of his eyes. Khushi was doing YOGA. He shut his eyes immediately as he doesn't want to disturb her. But he couldn't resist himself from looking at her. He ogled at her, slightly opening his eyes, pretending like sleeping. He amazed seeing her twisting her body like rubber. After the breathing exercise, she was sitting, closing her eyes, relaxingly. It seems she has finished it. Arnav sat on the bed, looking at her, keeping a pillow on his lap. Khushi opened her eyes and dumbfounded, seeing him looking at her. She stood and started rolling the MAT.

"Do you think YOGA is better than jogging?" Arnav asked.

Khushi nodded yes.

"How?" He intentionally asked her to have a little talk with her.

"Breathing is important to our body. If our breath is stable, our body will be in good condition. It obeys to our orders."

"Ohh..."

She kept the mat behind the bed. that's when she heard,

"Teach me too."

She looked at him plainly, without expression. Did she expect this from him?

"Will you?"

She nodded yes.

"Form tomorrow onwards?"

She again nodded yes.

That's when her mobile beeped with a message. Taking her mobile, she opened the message and read it. She was thunder stuck and automatically her head turned towards Arnav who was smirking at her. She read the message again, could not believe it.

"Our BOSS has been declared two days leave for all the AR staff." – Aman, the manager.

The smirk on Arnav's face cleared everything. He intentionally declared the leave to AR to make her stay at home to perform the rituals. Taking a saree from her bag, she went to the washroom, taking small steps. She turned around and found him looking at her smilingly. After all, he is Arnav Singh Raizada...

Arnav went to the poolside garden to water his plants, smilingly. He thought Khushi will not talk to him but she was not as he expected. It seems their life will come to the right track soon. He threw the water pipe, hearing a knock on the door. He opened the door and saw smiling Anjali.

"Very good Morning Chotte."

"Good Morning Di."

"This is Khushiji's outfit. Where is she?"

"She is in the washroom."

They saw her coming out.

"Good morning Khushiji."

"Good morning Anjaliji."

"This is for you."

"Thanks." She took it from Anajlai's hand.

"After finishing pehla rasui, you have to get ready for the MOO DHIKAI."

Khushi nodded OK.

"I hope you have no problem as AR is not working for two days..." Anjali smiled.

Khushi looked at Arnav and nodded yes.

"I told you, you are Mrs. ASR... you don't have to be worried about anything... right?"

Khushi simply smiled at her.

"Get ready Khushiji..." Anjali left the room.

Khushi took a step towards the washroom to get change; she stopped as Arnav standing before her. She moved to his right and Arnav also moved. She looked at his smiling face and felt something inside her.

"Don't worry. I will send leave letter to your DAMN BOSS and get leave on the behalf of you if needed." He said with a killer smirk.

"Did you declare leave for AR only to make me stay at home?"

Arnav nodded yes folding his hands.

"This is too much..."

"Why?"

"AR will lose its two days turnover."

"Who cares?"

"Don't you?"

"Losing a few crores doesn't matter but to make you comfortable is matter to me you know? You are not ready to lose two... correction, four days salary... so I just declare leave for all."

"I have some responsibilities... My father borrowed money for my sister's and our marriage. I can't lose even a penny. Try to understand that."

"I understood that's why I gave leave for all."

"This is..." she sighed not completing the sentence.

"Stupidity?" He smiled.

"Actually, I wanted to talk to you about giving my salary to my father." She said hesitatingly.

Arnav smiled at her adoringly. As she didn't get an answer she looked at him.

"Thank you for considering me a part of your life." his smile broadened.

Khushi gulped hard.

"You don't have to get permission to take care of your parents. You can do anything you like."

She nodded yes and hurried to the washroom to get changed. She was almost relaxed as she was allowed to be in her own space and to do what she likes. This is a rare thing a girl could get from her husband.

To be continued...

Bangles... (Long update)

Khushi went to the washroom to change the dress. She got stuck as she thought about what Anjali said. Didn't she say this dress is for Moo Dhikai ritual? Before the Moo Dhikai ritual, she has to cook something to complete the Pehala Rasui. Then why did she come to the washroom? She hit her own forehead and came out.

She saw Arnav standing, leaning on the wall.

"It seems someone is confused?" He asked with a smile.
