Part 17 

Aman stopped before started climbing the stairs. He thought something and came back to Khushi's cabin. She was drinking water from the bottle and asked him by her eyes "What?" while drinking.

"Madam, can I get permission to enter ASR's cabin?" he asked folding his hands politely.

Khushi closed her mouth from spitting the water. After gulping the water, she burst out laughing. She sprinkled the little water on Aman from the bottle. Aman chuckled, jumping back to save himself from the water.

"Stop teasing me"

"I'm not... what if ASR asked me to GET OUT?" he chuckled again.

"Before I drench you with water, runaway" she warned.

Aman left her cabin laughingly. But these guys didn't know that someone is looking at them from the glass wall of his cabin, fisting his fingers and tightening his jaws. How could they be so casual? How they get something to talk or play? He got irritated.

He saw Aman knocking on the door.

"Good morning ASR"

"From when you started playing in the working hours?" he asked, trying hard not to show his anger.

"Me...? No ASR"

"I saw you playing with Ms. Gupta with a water bottle"

Though he tried hard he couldn't hide his anger from Aman.

"Trust me ASR. It was not me but Khushi played" Aman complained like a school student.

Yes, Arnav knew it's Khushi. That's what irritates him a lot. If it is Aman who played with her then it won't hard to control him but how could he control Ms. Gupta?

"Why did you go to her cabin?"

Aman got stuck. What question is this? Why does it feel like he is jealous?

"To get Khushi's permission to enter your cabin ASR," he said very seriously.

Arnav glared at him.

"Being AR's manager, it's my responsibility to follow your rules ASR"

"Being AR's manager, it's not necessary to get her permission. You can enter my cabin anytime"

"Then, ok," he said feeling relieved.

"Why do you come here?"

"I was really worried about yesterday's happenings. Thank God, you reached the place at the right time and saved Khushi. She should have become relaxed when she saw you. Am I right?"

"She fainted...."

Aman looked at Arnav who was not in the sense. It seems he is thinking about yesterday's happenings.

"Ohh God...then, how did you bring her from there?"

"I picked her up in my arms"

Aman's eyes sparkled. Like really? This means the story which Khushi created is true.

"Then...?

"I fed her honey to get her sugar level balanced"

"Really?" Aman asked unbelievably. He almost shouted which brought Arnav's sense back. Aman smiled at him. Arnav understood that he spilled some beans.

"What?"

Aman nodded no suppressing his smile.

"We have to go to the conference"

"WE? With whom you are going, ASR?" he asked as if he doesn't know about it.

"Ms. Gupta is coming with me"

"But, it's a businessmen conference. What Khushi is going to do there?"

"She doesn't know what businessmen conference is. I want her to know about it"

"Ohhhhh" Aman said lifting his brows.

"Now, get out"

"Yeah..."

Aman left his cabin smilingly. He wanted to tease Khushi also but he saw Arnav coming out of his cabin to go to the conference. So, he kept silent.

Arnav and Khushi started to the Chamber of Commerce. When Arnav brought his car, he didn't see Khushi at the entrance. She was moving out of the campus. Arnav stopped the car at her feet and looked at her.

"I will reach the Chamber of Commerce by cab sir"

Arnav got out of the car.

"We are going to the same place and will be back in the office."

"But you are my BOSS sir"

"I don't say NO. We are going to the official meeting only."

She tried to say something again,

"It's me, who dropped you in your home yesterday. Remember?"

She nodded yes and there is nothing to deny. She sat in the car silently. Their journey was silent one as it was BOSS and PA's journey.

Chamber of Commerce

Arnav entered the hall followed by Khushi. Everyone's attention turned towards them because they had never seen ASR with a girl. In fact, he never had a PA. So, people gave special attention to ASR's PA. Arnav never minded about people's gaze but today he couldn't be minded because he sensed that their gazes are not only on him but on Khushi.

A senior businessman approached them. He is Gaurav Gowda. Khushi recognized him. He was Khushi's Ex-Boss Rajesh Sinha's friend.

"Hi, ASR"

"Hello, Mr. Gowda"

Arnav shook hands with him.

As Arnav didn't expect, Gowda greeted Khushi.

"How are you Khushi?"

"Fine sir"

"Hope you remember me"

"Of course, I do, sir. I had seen you many times in Sinha Builders."

"Exactly. You know what? If I would have known you resigning the job from Sinha's, I had offered you a job in my office. I have missed you. But anyhow, you have reached AR. I'm glad about it. At the same time, I pity you because (pointing at Arnav) this young man won't give you the reason to smile." He laughed like a thunder.

Khushi looked at Arnav, touching her molar teeth by her tongue.

"Shall we go?"

Arnav asked her rigidly and she followed him.

"Didn't I say?"

Mr. Gowda countered from behind. Controlling her smile, Khushi followed Arnav.

Arnav was stopped again by an ultra-modern woman who was wearing a fish-cut sleeveless gown. She is Mrs. Bhatia.

"Hi Arnie"

Khushi raised her eyebrows biting her lip in surprise, hearing ARNIE form a married woman.

"What made you think that you need a PA?" Mrs. Bhatia asked.

More to Khushi's surprise, Arnav left the place without reciprocating her. Though Arnav didn't give heed to Mrs. Bhatia her eyes were only on him.

Everyone got seated. The seating arrangements looked like a round table conference. Khushi sat straight opposite to Arnav, next to Mrs. Bhatia.

President of the Association started the conference.

"Before starting the conference, I proudly welcome Mr. Krish Sinha who is entering into the business field. Ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together and welcome him who is going to introduce himself."

Arnav saw a lightening effect on Khushi's face, seeing Krish. And to his surprise, he saw the same effect on Krish's face also when he saw Khushi. Krish started the formal introduction speech.

Khushi raised her thumb up and moved her lips like ALL THE BEST. Krish openly raised his thumb up towards her to respond to her gesture. She smiled biting her lip. Arnav felt something wired inside him. He doesn't like, seeing Krish's eyes were on Khushi. While speaking, Krish looked at everyone formally but his eyes always ended on Khushi with a smile.

Mrs. Bhatia looked at Arnav with disappointment. Though she is sitting next to Khushi Arnav didn't spare a glance of her but only Khushi.

After the conference got completed, Krish rushed to Khushi, extending his hand for a shake. Arnav moved towards them. Another businessman stopped him and talked formally. But Arnav's concentration is only on Krish and Khushi's talks.

"Congratulations, Krish"

"Thank you, Khushi. What a pleasant surprise! I didn't expect you here. I'm glad to have you in my welcoming ceremony"

"I came with Mr. Raizada. I hope Sinha Sir is fine"

"Of course, after you meeting him, He got his energy back"

Still, does she meet Sinha? Arnav thought.

"I got a little time, on Sunday. So, I visited your place"

"I would have stayed home if you had called me"

"I came to talk to Sir. You would not have let me do it if you had been at home" she chuckled.

"Can't help" he laughed.

Means, Krish would like to spend with Khushi? But why? Arnav frowned.

"By the way, all the best"

"I really want you to work with me but you denied" he felt sad.

"You are stepping into a NEW business. It will be helpful to you if you join with experienced people."

"As per your point, you will be the experienced person in six months as you are working in AR. So, be ready to become my PA after six months" he demanded.

"I'm sorry, Krish. I have an agreement with AR for one year"

"Whaat? Does AR put such agreements or what?" he asked unbelievably.

Khushi nodded yes.

A smirk appeared on Arnav face. Though his intention of the agreement is something. But now, he felt it for good, hearing Krish's demand.

"Why so shocked?"

"AR is not a company in which staff needs an agreement to continue their job. Do you know people die to get a job in AR?"

"I know"

"Anyways, you should join with me when your agreement finishes"

Arnav got horrified. Will she resign after the agreement got over?

"Who knows what's tomorrow?" she said folding her hands.

"I wonder, being ASR's PA, how you are talking like this? You have to learn from him Khushi. He writes his own destiny, after all"

"Khushi will be Khushi, no matter, with who she is"

"That's what Khushi is"

Arnav gulped. This is what attracts him like anything. She is a different and unique piece out of everyone.

"Ok Krish... I'm leaving"

"I will drop you"

"No thanks. You just carry on"

"Why Khushi?"

They turned hearing,

"Because she is with me"

"Hi, ASR"

Krish extended his hand for a shake. Arnav clutched his hand.

"You are very lucky to have such a talented PA"

"I agree she is talented. But...I don't believe in LUCK" he said looking at Khushi.

Of course, she is his PA not because of his luck, only he knew how he snatched her from Akash.

"Yeah, you are right. She keeps her eyes everywhere. You will get to know that when right time comes" he smiled.

Arnav didn't feel to argue with him as he spoke a lot about Ms. Gupta and he knew nothing about her.

"Shall we go?" He asked Khushi and she nodded yes.

"Bye Krish"

"Bye... keep coming home."

"Yeah"

Arnav frowned. It seems it's not just a BOSS and PA relationship. He started walking, thinking about it. Khushi followed him.

Arnav stopped as Mrs. Batia blocked his way when he came out of the conference hall.

"It seems you found someone to submit your precious ...." she said looking at Khushi, not completing the sentence.

Arnav gritted his teeth. He doesn't like her talking about IT in front of Khushi. He saw Khushi frowning.

"Excuse us" He hurried his steps from the place but not before confirming that Khushi follows him.

They again started towards AR. Arnav's mind was whirling in Krish and Khushi's relationship whereas Khushi was thinking about Mrs. Batia's words. What was that she stopped without completing it?
