Punishment Filled Household
I kept my hand as steady as I could as I answered Archie. "Arch what-" I broke, hearing his shaky breath. I could tell he was on the verge of tears. "Baby, calm down, what's going on?" I asked sternly, yet soft. "I-I had let C-Conrad help make the exchange and....and....he was shot!" I felt a surge of emotions run through me. He had just joined us yesterday and he's already caught one of the worst things to happen on the job. "Dammit! Have Quinn stop the bleeding, let me know how he's doing and get back here as soon as possible. And I want you in my office!" I ordered, extremely upset with him as I hung up before he could answer. I began to pace the room. "Dirk, don't think your getting out of the rest of your punishment," I sighed, noticing the blonde watching me with teary eyes. I then picked up the paddle off the desk beside him. "Let's make this quick since I have Archie to deal with when he returns," I said before swinging the paddle and smacking it down on the boy's pale bottom, causing him to jump and let out a squeal. Normally, I would enjoy such reactions, but I was too worried about my new son to feel any pleasure in knowing the boy will soon learn his lesson. I was silent as I continued to rain down smacks with the holed paddle, the boy was a sobbing mess by the time I got to fifteen. Normally I would go more, but Dirk was one of my younger boys so I go a bit easier on him. "Come here Dirkson," I tell him, though his real name was just Dirk. The boy didn't need anymore instruction as he practically threw himself into my arms. I hadn't realized it until now, but the hugging really did ease me a little, but I wouldn't admit it to the boys since they would more than likely use it to their advantage. I had to keep my boys in line and tough love was the best choice. I held the blonde close for quite some time, to the point where I thought he fell asleep. I then laid him down in n the couch and called Ashton over for some cuddles as well. That was until I heard the boys come back. I could tell they were all panicked and worried for their newest member. It broke me, knowing I'd have to see my youngest boy in a miserable state and the fact my boys have already taken a liking to him. I placed Ashton down and quickly went to check on them. "Dad! I-I mean sir," Archie looked down, tears already forming in those big brown eyes of his. I almost wanted to spare him, but I knew I couldn't. He was reckless and due to his negligence, one of my boys got hurt on the job. I almost couldn't bring myself to look at Connor, but knew I had to help him. I was actually quite relieved when I noticed he was only shot in the leg, knowing it had hardly missed his kneecap, but he wouldn't need any surgery. I'm just glad it wasn't his chest or anywhere near his vital organs. It still hurt to see him like this. "Quinn, taken him to bed, take care of him and have Jax fix him up some food, Atlas and Lenny, you two grab some pillows and an ice pack," I ordered as I grabbed Archie's hand. Soon everyone left except for Ash, Dirk, and Archie. "Ashton and Dirk, you two are free to go, Archie you strip and stand in the corner," I told the boys, who reluctantly followed orders, Ashton waking up Dirk. Although I know Archie knew he had really messed up, but he still needed to be punished. It's so he won't make the same mistake again. Some may say I'm being harsh with him, but to me, I was letting him off easy. I leave him in the corner, knowing he'd stay there as I went to go check on Connor, making sure he was going to be okay. I worry about my boys a lot, especially when one of them gets hurt. This hadn't been the first time one of my boys had been shot, but this was the first time a rookie had gotten hurt his first day. I still felt a ping of guilt myself since it was partially my fault this had happened. I walked over to Quinn who was pacing the room, which caused me to worry more. "Q, what's the diagnosis?" I asked as I gently grabbed his shoulders so he'd stop pacing the floor. He whimpered. "H-he had a bullet lodged in his left fibula, I had managed to take it out, but there's a chance he might have a permanent limp," the boy said frantically, clearly nervous. "You did good," I rubbed his back before kissing his head. "Stay here until he wakes up, I'll have Waylon make some soup for dinner," I sighed and went back to my office to take care of Archie who was shivering in the corner, his naked body on full display.
