A Week Later...

Bose's POV

It's been a week since Mika and Elena became a couple and I'm already over it. I want to be happy for them, but this is harder than I thought it would be. I think I'm oppressed... Wait- no, I mean Repressed... Wait- no, I mean Depressed. What am I gonna do?

Samantha: Hi! My name is Samantha. My boss wanted me to tell you that we're closing soon.

Bose: Closing soon?!?! How long have I been sitting here?

Samantha: Um... A week, 6 hours, 35 minutes, and 9 seconds. I didn't want to feel bad for waking you up when you fell asleep, so I brought you a blanket one day after my boss went home.

Bose: (Sad Chuckle) Sorry about that. I've just had a lot on my mind.

Samantha: Wanna talk about it?

And for an hour, I had never been more understood by anyone in my entire life until now. She's amazing. She just gets me, ya know?

Bose: Can I... Walk you home? I wouldn't want an amazing, pretty girl to go home all alone at night.

Samantha: (Snickers) Sure... why not?

Bose: And so, I walked her home. And I even got her number.

Mika: Well, I'd like to be the first to say that I'm proud of you! Not only just getting over me, but also putting yourself out there again. Good for you!

Bose: Thanks, Mika! I have a date with Samantha later and I don't know what to wear. Can you help me?

Mika: Sure buddy. What kind of date is this?

Bose: Well... I couldn't think of just one place to take her, so I'm taking her to three places. First, I'm gonna take her to Swellview Park for Goat Fest, then we're gonna go to Nacho Ball, the nice one, not the close one, for a romantic nacho ball dinner, and finally we're gonna go to Swellview's side of the Jandy River and watch the sunset.

Mika: Aww... That's so cute, though, personally, I would've gone to Swellview Pier, but this is not my date. It's yours. Here, these are your clothes for your date.

She hands me a button-up shirt, a tie, and a pair of ripped jeans. *sad sigh* moments like this make me wonder why I did all of those things towards Mika, but it's not important, What's important is that I have a date with an amazing girl who makes the perfect cup of Chocolate Milk.

Bose: So how do I look?

Mika's POV

I turned around to see Bose with his shirt misbuttoned and his tie tied incorrectly. It made me chuckle.

Mika: (chuckles) Bose... Honey, you know that that's not how you button a shirt.

Bose: Oh. Guess I didn't notice because of how nervous I am.

Mika: Baby, let me help you.

I unbutton his shirt and begin to rebutton it for him. What? He may be my ex, but we're still friends.

Mika: Now, you have nothing to be worried about. Now if I know anything about you, Bose is that you're a great guy and after what happened with you and me, you're trying to change yourself for the better and that's a quality any girl would want, especially Samantha.

Bose: You think so?

Mika: (Smiles) I know so, Buddy.

Bose: Thank you, Mika. I needed that.

We hugged and it felt comforting... almost as if... we were still... together... I quickly had to let go of him.

Bose: Is everything okay, Mika?

Mika: Yeah, yeah, I, uh... You should get to your date. Don't wanna leave her waiting.

Bose: Smart. Thanks, Mika.

Mika, Good luck... Bose.

He left the Man's Nest and all I could do was watch. *Sad Sigh* I a miss being with him, but I'll be okay. I have Elena, who makes me extremely happy, but that's the thing about relationships, the next isn't the same as the first.

Bose's POV

That was... interesting. Mika has never pulled out of my hugs before. Huh, Strange. That doesn't matter right now, what matters is buying my date her goat and teaching her how to speak goat. I wonder if she's here? I left pretty early from the Man's Nest so she could find me.

Suddenly my vision goes dark. I've been blinded, and I don't know where to go.

Samantha: Guess who?

Bose: Um... Bose? Wait no- I'm Bose, duh. Is it Chapa?

Samantha: (Chuckles) No, silly, I'm not your friend, Chapa. Guess again.

I went to take another guess when I smelled the sweetness of Strawberry perfume. I only knew one other person who wore that perfume, and she's back in the Man's Nest. I turned around and there she was.

Bose: Samantha!

Samantha: (Smiles) Hiya, Buddy!

I pulled her in for a hug. This hug was so comforting, we could've hugged for hours and the comfort levels would stay the same.

Bose: How are you?

Samantha: Well I just got back from work, so I'm a little tired, but I'm ready to spend the day with you!

Bose: That's great because our first stop is right here. Welcome to Goat Fest! Goat Fest is only one of the best events to go to in Swellview with the petting zoo and the goat-based rides and games. You could even adopt a goat.

Samantha: (Excitedly) Really? Then what are waiting for? Let's go! I wanna adopt a goat!

She grabbed my hand and ran to the goat adoption booth, dragging me along behind her. I wonder which goat she'll adopt.

Sarah: Hi, I'm Sarah! Welcome to Keep-a-Kid!

Bose: (Whispers) Kid is another name for Baby Goat.

Samantha: (Whispers Back) I could tell, Buga.

Buga. Huh. That's a new one. Buga... I like it.

Sarah: So are you two looking to "keep a kid"?

Bose: Actually, yes! We're here to adopt a goat. Mind if we take a look around?

Sarah: Go right ahead. Let me know if you need anything.

Bose: Will do.

Something that I noticed is that Samantha hasn't let go of my hand, which isn't at all a bad thing, just something that I noticed. I took it a step further and interlocked our fingers.

Samantha: Buga, I found one! She's adorable!

Sarah: Ooh! That's a great choice. She's very rare because her specific Breed is endangered and there are only 50 on Earth.

Bose: What's her breed?

Sarah: She's a Swellview Himalayan Ram-Horned Billy Goat. She's a rescued Goat. She was stranded on the Swellview side of the Jandy River, floating on a piece of driftwood. We don't know how she ended up there, but she's safe now.

Bose: Sammi, is this the goat that you want?

Samantha: Not only that, but I already have a name for her! Her name will be Fallon.

Sarah: That's Adorable!

Bose: Alright we'll take her!

I went to the table to pay in full, while Samantha was behind me playing with Fallon.

Sarah: (Whispering) So, are you two together? Like a couple?

Bose: (Whispering) Not yet, I'm going to ask her to be my Girlfriend later though.

I turned around to see that gorgeous smile that Samantha had. Seeing her happy, made me smile.

Sarah: (Whispering) You're Blushing. She's definitely a keeper.

My smile got bigger thinking about Samantha.

Sarah: Alright, all you two have to do now is sign the Goat Adoption Certificate and you're all set!

We both signed the certificate and said goodbye to Sarah. Then we headed to the fountain to take a selfie with Fallon.

Samantha: This is fun, Bugabear! We should go to Goat Fest every-

One of the petting zoo goats had escaped and knocked Samantha into the Fountain. I quickly helped her out of the fountain.

Bose: Oh my gosh, Sammi, are you okay?

Samantha: Yeah, I'm good. I have 4 brothers back at home so I'm pretty used to being pushed and knocked into things.

Bose: On the plus side, Even soaking wet, you still look gorgeous.

Samantha's POV

I began to blush as I stared into Bose's eyes. He is the absolute sweetest guy that I've ever met, and that says a lot because I've met a lot of sweet guys, but he's not like any other guy, he's better.

Bose: C'mon let's go buy you a goat blanket and some hot cocoa.

I love hot cocoa! Mom, Dad, I think I found him. Bose, Fallon, and I walked into a goat-themed gift shop that sold a whole bunch of goat-themed items. This place is so cool!

Bose: Sarah, you work here too?

Janae: Sarah? Ohh, you must've met my twin sister, Sarah at Keep-a-Kid. My name is Janae and I work here in the Goat Gift Shop! You can call me the Goat Gift Guru. How may I assist you?

Samantha: (Shivering) G-g-got anything w-w-w-warm?

Bose: One of the petting zoo goats escaped and knocked her into the fountain.

Janae: Sorry to hear that, but luckily, I have just the thing!

Janae goes behind the counter and grabs me a blanket with little cartoon goats on it and a novelty goat cup filled with Hot Chocolate.

Janae: Here you go! Fresh hot chocolate and a nice, warm goat blanket! On the house!

Samantha: Really?!

Janae: Yep! You two were the shop's 100th customer, and so you got something on the house! You're Welcome!

Bose: Thank you so much for the free swag!

Janae: Anytime! Thank you for shopping at The Goat Gift Shop!

I walked out of the gift shop with Bose and Fallon all warm and drinking hot chocolate. So far, this is a great date, especially after being knocked into a fountain with freezing cold water in the middle of February. Definitely the most eventful date that I've had.

Samantha: So, Where to next?

Bose: You're ready to go already? We barely did anything.

Samantha: Yeah I know, but I'm actually very content and happy with everything we've done so far. The way I think about it, sometimes first dates should be about the quality of time spent together instead of the quantity, and adopting Fallon was the most creative thing a guy has ever done with me, even if it was your idea.

Bose: So even after you got knocked into a freezing cold water fountain, you're still having fun?

I simply nodded with a smile on my face.

Samantha: Besides, I'm here with you, Buga, and that's what makes this date even better.

Bose smiled softly and I continued to smile, hoping that I didn't offend Bose. My words may have been harsh to him. I hope I didn't mess this up already.

Bose: Yeah... yea. Let's go to the next place.

Bose's POV

Oh, man. She didn't like it. Okay okay. Don't Panic, Bosey. You still have a whole date planned. Next is Nacho Ball—the nice one, not the close one. The nice Nacho Ball was pretty close to Goat Fest, so we walked and it was pretty nice. Light snowfall, the girl I'm co-parenting our new "kid" with her head lying on my shoulder. Okay... Calming down. Yeah, okay. Nothing else could possibly go wrong.

Nacho Ball Employee: I'm sorry, sir, but we don't have a table for 2 reservation.

I just had to say something. What's Happening? I'm 1,000% positive that I got the reservation. I asked Mika to do it for me since she's way less nervous on the phone than I am. 

Samantha: Bose, it's okay. Let's just go to Hip Hop Puree. I'm kinda full from the Hot Chocolate and I honestly don't wanna eat too much.

Bose: (Disappointed) Okay... Let's go.

Great. Another part of my plan was ruined by terrible timing. Let's hope that the rest of this goes better because it's starting to be really bad. We took a taxi to Hip Hop Puree since it was further away. We went inside and got our purees and I didn't really drink mine. I was too anxious about this date.

Samantha: (Concerned) Bose? Are you okay? You seemed kind out of it on the way here.

Bose: Yea... I'm fine. I just wanted this date to be perfect for you.

Samantha got up from her seat and sat next to me, turning me towards her.

Samantha: Bose, I'm having fun, I promise. This date that you planned is not only thoughtful and sweet, but it's creative and definitely eventful. Sure, it didn't go as planned, but that's what made it even better. Sometimes dates should have those unplanned moments for great memories, just like this date. You've done so much to make this date amazing, and now I feel like should return the favor.

Samantha got closer and now we're centimeters apart until she kissed me. I was stunned, Speechless even. She pulled away smiling at me.

Samantha: Now, we're even. You surprised me, and now, I've surprised you.

Bose: I... I think I love you, Samantha. 

Samantha: (Stunned) What?

Bose: I know we haven't known each other for too long, but I'm in love with you.

Samantha: (Blushing) Oh Bose... Staaawwp, you're making me blush.

Bose: There's one more place I wanna take you to.

I took Samantha's hand, grabbed Fallon's leash, and walked across the street to Mt. Swellview. The place where I will ask Samantha to be my girlfriend. I hope she says yes. Wish me luck.

Bose: We're here! Our final stop.

Samantha: Aww... You brought me here to watch the sunset? I love it, Buga!

Bose: I brought you up here to ask you something. Something we both might like the sound of.

Samantha: (Blushing) Yeah...? And what's that?

Bose: Will you, Samantha Dakota Murphy, be my-

Bose: And before I could finish, the big cliff that we were standing on, started to crumble and without a second glance we falling to our doom, forcing me to use my powers to save us, Sir.

Ray: So if I'm hearing this correctly, you went on a date, almost died, and didn't suit up before using you're powers?

Bose: Yes sir.

Samantha: I'm sorry, Buga. I never meant to cost you your job so you could save us.

Ray: Now, Hold on... I'm not firing Bose... Today. The day I fire Baby Bosey here, is the day I fire everyone. No. Bosey's Punishment is much worse. Bose, your punishment for the next month is bathroom duty. DUN DUN DUUUNNN...

Everyone gasped. Bathroom duty is worse than being kicked out of Danger Force.

Ray: As for you... Samantha, is it? You work for me now. I can't give you powers so you can't fight with us, but we do need someone here to give us crime info when we're not here. Suzie, You're our new Mission Intel Assistant or M.I.A. for short.

Samantha: Samantha. My name is Samantha.

Ray: That's what I said, Sally.

Samantha: (Forced) Great! Can't wait to start working here.

Ray: Right?!

Robyn: It's okay, Samantha. He'll learn your name eventually. It took him three weeks to stop calling me names of random birds. Mine is Robyn by the way. Pleasure meeting you!

It's gonna be real interesting with Ray and Sammi, but at least I'm working with my girlfriend. My amazing girlfriend...
