I pieced this together when she fought at the genin exams, making her nails sharper and eyes slit similar to the way Kiba does except she's more cat like, taking after her mother. Edit; after more eps have come out, I realize that kiba only has a girlfriend, not a family. I no longer think she's kibas daughter, instead I think she could be his niece because he has an older sister.

Less women became kunoichi back then, it makes sense that now there is probably closer to a 50/50 split, or 40/60, so teams can be made up randomly instead of the 1:3 ratio of before.
