The boys eyes shot open at the sound of his screaming alarm clock. He thought about turning it off and heading back to bed, but his mother would more then likely make him get up anyway. Forcing his tired muscles to move he lifted himself up and turned off the alarm. Then he got dressed in his black paints and white T-shirt. The boy looked in his mirror fixing his spiky blond hair so it didn't cover his light blue eyes.

After he was finished he headed for the kitchen. There he saw his father sitting at the table and his mother making breakfast. His father had short blond hair and blue eyes like him. His name was Naruto Uzumaki The Seventh Hokage. The Hokage is the leader of the Hidden Leaf village. His mother is Hinata Hyuga, well now she's Hinata Uzumaki, she had neck length Indigo hair and Lavender colored eyes. Every time he saw his mother he couldn't help but stare at her eyes. They weren't normal eyes, they are the Byakugan a special type of eye passed down in the Hyuga blood-line. Sadly he has yet to unlock his.  

"Boruto," Hinata said. "Why don't you sit next to your father breakfast will be done soon."

"Okay," Boruto replied taking a seat next to his father. "Where's Himawari?"

"Here I am!" Said a girl with short Indigo hair like Hinata.

Himawari was a few years younger then Boruto, but years meant nothing in her case. Unlike Boruto she had already unlocked her Byakugan and kick his but when she did. He remembered very well do to the fact it was the same day his dad became Hokage.

"Hey Boruto," Naruto said looking up from his newspaper he was reading. "Your team is stopping by my office today for a mission make sure your not late."

"Got it," Boruto said as Hinata put a plate of food in front of him. "Now that I'm ninja you should think I would be late for a mission briefing."

"I wasn't think of you as a ninja when I said it." Naruto told his son. "I was thinking of you as my son."

"Fine I get it." Boruto said shoving food in his mouth. "I promise not to be late."

"Good," Naruto said. "I have to get going or Shikamaru will kill me for not being on time. Today is a meeting with the other Kage."

"Have a good day." Hinata said kissing Naruto good-bye.

"I'll try," Naruto said. "You two be good for your mother."

Boruto and Himawari said good-bye to there father and he was out the door. Boruto looked at his mother who seemed to be use to his father always being at work. He hated how his father worked all the time, but it was for the sack of the village. Boruto had decided a long time ago he wouldn't follow in his father's foot steps. Most people wanted to be Hokage, but not him. All he wanted to do was be a strong ninja that way he could protect his home and still be with his family as much as he wanted.

"Mom I'm heading over to the Academy to meet Sarada." Boruto said washing his plate.

"Okay," Hinata said giving him a kiss. "Be carful on you mission."

"Bye Boruto!" Himawari yelled.

"Bye!" Boruto yelled as he ran out the door grabbing his red and black coat.

He put his coat on a looked at its one sleeve. It had a big tare in it. He had gotten it when he and his master Sasuke went to save his father when he got captured during the last chunin exams. Boruto smiled as he remembered that day. It was the first time in a long time he felt like his father cared about him. Breaking from his dream Boruto picked up his pace.

A hooded man in a mask watched as Boruto ran by. For years now he had watched the boy grow and soon it would be time to act. He turned to a dark alley and was on his way.

"Is the boy ready?" A voiced asked the masked man.

"I would say so." The man replied. "Are you sure about this."

"Yes," The voice said. "Time is running out for me."

"I know," The masked man said. "But he's just a kid. Why can't we go after his dad?"

"His father isn't the one we're after." The voice told the man. "You take him when his guard is down today, understand?"

"Yeah, yeah," The man said. "I'll get the kid don't worry."

The air around the man began to swirl. His body began to disappear into the mask. The whole body was soon gone then followed the head. The last thing you saw before he was completely gone was his red eyes, the Sharingan.

Boruto had meet up with a black haired girl with red glasses and a pale boy with white hair. They were his teammates Sarada Uchiha, daughter of his master, and Mitsuki, Boruto's best friend. They were on there way to the Hokage's office where they meet up with there team leader Konohamaru.

"You guys ready?" Konohamaru asked.

"Yeah." They all said.

They entered Naruto's office to she him typing away at a laptop and piles of papers all over. This was another reason Boruto didn't want to be Hokage, way to much paper work. Sarada on the other hand wanted to be Hokage and that was fine with him.

"I see your all here for your mission." Naruto said pushing his laptop aside.

"We're ready for your orders Lord Seventh." Konohamaru said.

"Alright," Naruto began. "You have a C-rank mission. A group of bandits are attacking a small village to the west. They aren't a big group, but there becoming a pain in the neck for the people who live there. Your team is to take them down, hopefully they'll come quietly." 

"Why are they attacking the village?" Sarada asked.

"Sense the war ended all the nations have been in a time of peace." Naruto said. "With no fighting mercenary groups aren't needed to protect villages making them lose money. So they have small groups of bandits attack villages so the villagers higher them for protection."

"Then we best go stop them." Mitsuki said as he went to leave the room followed by Boruto and Sarada.

"Well good luck Konohamaru I have a Kage meeting to go to." Naruto said. "Make sure Boruto doesn't push himself to hard on this mission okay?"

"Will do." Konohamaru said.

Naruto watched him run out the door. He had a feeling something big was going to happen, but what would it be? Naruto shoved the thought out of his mind thinking he was just being paranoid, or was he?
