⤝Chapter six⤞
Penny came inside and got to meet all of the kids. There was one named Forest. He was a silver tabby and he was always annoyed everytime Penny gave a question, Penny could tell this for sure. Forest was really skilled and is practicing to be the future leader even though his uncle is already the deputy for his mom. His uncle Roco, was born a year after his mom but Penny didn't get to see him yet. Lilly is a silver tabby and she is really fascinated with Penny and they already are close friends. There is Fiona who is an orange tabby like her mom and really loves water. And last but not least is Melody, she is an orange tabby and she is so good and copying voices. She is talented at making bear, wolf, bird and other cats' sounds. The leader which is their dad is also really skilled at fighting. His name is Halon but Penny didn't see him et. Even though he is the husband of the leader, he was not chosen to be a deputy for he is not from the bloodline of Samantha and Hark. She soon learned that Samantha was the mother of the leader and had another son who was named Roco. Roco was a brown tabby cat and he was almost old enough to be leader. Samantha had died of grief a year later after her daughter died, right after she gave birth to Roco.
Penny walked over to the leader.
"What's your name?" she asked.
"My name is Agatha," she said, "But call me queen Agatha,"
"Can I call you mom? You look just like my mom," Penny said smiling.
Agatha blinked a couple times with unamusement then said, "No."
Penny was shocked. No one ever replied like that, she had even made her puppy eyes. For example, Snowy had let her call him brother and the neighbor's cat allowed Penny to call him uncle and so on.
"First she steals our house, and now she wants to steal our mom," said Forest in a whisper just to make Penny hear.
Penny frowned and walked over to Lilly. It was getting dark. Penny saw lights outside.
"Get up, it's time for the feast," said Agatha as she put on her flower chamber and left the den. All of the kittens raced out and Penny followed along. Outside she could see a little fire and many cats gathering around it. A cat with a basket full of prey and gave each cat their share.
"To the honor of the Yellow Leaf Clan, we may begin," said Hark as all the cats started to eat. The sun was still showing slightly. The sky was blue almost dark. It was hard for Penny to chew the bones but she managed. After food, some of the kittens were playing around. Fiona was splashing in the pond and Melody was chirping at the birds meanwhile Forest and his friend was rough-play wrestling. His friend was white with odd eyes. Lilly urged Penny to play with her and they chased around each other. There were many other kittens playing around too. Soon the fire was put out and everyone went inside their dens.
Penny followed Lilly who followed her mother inside the den.
"Time for a bathe," announced their mother, Agatha.
All the kittens rushed up to her so Penny did the same.
"First Forest, he is the eldest," said Agatha.
At this point, Penny was confused. How can wild cats have a bath or even bathe she thought?
"I don't want Penny here while I bathe," said Forest glaring at Penny who was now absolutely confused.
'How can they even bathe without water?'
Penny went to the side and sat and then realized what they were doing. Agatha started licking them up one by one. She cleaned every single part of them. "GROSS!" Penny thought.
'How am I supposed to let that Queen lick me up'
After all the kittens were done, just Penny was left.
"Come, Penny, it's your turn," said the leader.
Penny trudged towards her. She slumped down and Agatha started licking her up.
"ACHOO! Ugh, gross, do you have some kind of chemicals in your fur?" asked Agatha drinking some water.
"NO! It's called, SHAMPOO for your information and it keeps my fur clean and nicely scented okay!? And I don't need my fur to be covered with your dirty, smelly, raw-meat, filthy MOUTH!!!!" said Penny so furious of all of the discrimination.
Agatha and her kids started at Penny wide-eyed.
"Oops, I think I said too much, heheh," said Penny giving a naughty and desperate smile. The next thing she knew, was that Agatha took her out of the pretty den and into some nurse's family.
"Aw no, please I want to sleep with Lilly!" said Penny but Agatha just frowned and dropped Penny down. She whispered something to a cat then went off.
"But I didn't even get to see your husband!" said Penny.
"He went on a trip with other warriors, he is coming in a week, you will stay here till then," said Agatha stomping away.
"If I try to be nice, that's what I get!" said Agatha to herself making Penny hear.
Penny slumped down and looked behind her. She saw a female calico cat and a male black cat sitting and staring at her. Their den was half the size of the royal den. They had two kids too. One boy and one girl. The boy was calico and the girl was tortoiseshell. They were also about her age.
"Umm hi, heheh," said Penny shrugging. She was really embarrassed that she had gotten kicked out.
"Hi, come sleep here, this place is empty," said the girl rolling her eyes.
Penny's smile faded down, she didn't like the girl's attitude and the bed was the fur of a wolf which made her feel like they killed Snowy and she was sleeping on him. Her eyes filled with tears and she just stood there staring at the bed.
"Sweety, I am a nurse and this bed is the softest, best for your health, what's the matter?" the calico said.
Penny didn't answer and barely got on the bed. The whole den smelled bad with jars herbs, oils, juices and spices of all kinds. There was even a basket of oil and prey for the winter and it really smelled bad too.
Penny barely slept at night. The calico boy was named Ray and the girl tortoiseshell was named Rachel. The mom was Rain and the dad was Rombo.
Penny looked around. Everywhere was dark. The mom was sorting some meats and placing things into the jars. The dad was sleeping and the kittens were talking about something.
'Why didn't they still sleep?' wondered Penny.
She didn't know how much she slept. About an hour, she thought.
"What's going on?" Penny whispered.
"Oh, Ray is going to boys scouts for warrior cats, he will learn how to fight big cats to defend his family in the future." replied the mom, "So I am preparing things for him, he will leave in an hour."
"But it's still dark..." trailed of Penny looking out of the den to the sky.
"It's almost time for the sun to come out." the mom said.
Ray looked really excited all he was doing was happily chatting with his sister.
After about an hour, Ray's mom gave him a huge leaf that was wrapped like a sack and inside were foods that his mom prepared. He waved to his sister and went outside. The sky was darkish blue and the sun was coming out. Penny, Rachel, Rain and the dad all went out of the den to watch as Ray left. Penny noticed Forest, the silver tabby who hated her also going with some other boy kittens. All of them had the same leaf sacks except for Forest who had a special one.
'Just because he is basically the prince or maybe the future leader, he always has to be different!' thought Penny.
"May I go out?" asked Penny.
"Sure!" said the dad with sleepy eyes.
Penny ran off. She only thought about exploring near the waterfall. She had a feeling that she was born there. The sun was slowly coming out. She saw the waterfall but there was no way to get down to the lake at the bottom. The waterfall was too risky to jump. There were cliffs like a circle all around the lake. She kept walking around and around then stopped. Penny went to a cliffside covered with grass. She could see the waterfall far away. She looked down the cliff and saw another tiny cliff with grass. It looked too risky to jump down. She saw the sides of the cliff were climbable but they were also too risky. She stood looking at the edge when all of a sudden...
"PENNY WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!" Shouted Lilly who looked horrified.
Penny jumped up in surprise her tail puffing up.

She jumped and fell...fell down the cliff.
