Penny stepped on a dead bug. She squealed with disgust. Then she looked back at the scene then gasped. After the bush she was hiding behind was a land then went down a bit into the ground by about a meter. It was beautiful but silent. There was a little pond and groups of little holes with trees. They were like dens. There was a rock in the center of the plain grass. It looked like it was meant for standing on and giving speeches.

"Wow.." she gasped.

She kept looking around until she saw the biggest tree with a hole, decorated with flowers and vines...

"Oh no!" this was the warning the bear head given me. Penny tried to run but hit the bushes and tumbled down into the center of the landscape.

'Why do I always tumble or hit myself when I am nervous or scared at the wrong times!'

Penny started flushing as she looked around. It was still silent then she quickly looked behind her to bump into a huge old brown tabby cat staring down at her.

'MAN! I forgot to check for the scent!'

"What's a PET like you doing here?"

Penny was so scared she didn't even know what to say. She saw he had a couple of scars on his face.

"I-I-I umm I, wait, how did you know I was a pet? I took of my collar."

'OOPS, why did I say that!' Thought Penny.

The cat just glared at her and snatched her by the scurf and held her up. It hurt really bad. As he took her to a tree she saw many many cats popping out of the trees, some kittens splashing in the water and some cats coming from the forest with prey in their mouths.

'Wow, they sure do know how to hide' she thought.

He threw her into a den filled with warm, wet grass.

"Stay here!" He demanded.

Penny was supposed to be scared and trying to run away but she was happily sniffing around the den. She didn't know all the troubles that were coming ahead for she thought they already accepted her.

A couple minutes passed. Then the old brown tabby came back again and snatched Penny.

"Ouch, it hurts, can you please stop?"

"Why do I care!"

Penny was confused about why he was so mean.

'Maybe because he is old and grumpy' She thought.

The cat threw her to the grass where about 100 cats were surrounding her in a circle. They were all sorts of colors, brown, yellow, orange, white, black, grey and more. They were all whispering things to each other and looking at her.

"BOW DOWN! Leader is coming!" One of them shouted as a sleek beautiful orange tabby female cat walked on to the stone. All of the cats bowed down. The cat had a flower chamber on her head.

The leader stood on the rock glaring down at Penny who was in the center of the crowd with the dark brown cat beside her. They were very close to the pond.

"So, who shall this ugly little house cat be?" The leader asked, her voice bold yet soft.

Penny gasped.

'Ugly???? Who ever said I was UGLY!!!!"

Finally she replied, "Umm, my n-n-name is P-Pen-Penny, and umm, how do you guys know that I am a pet, even this guy next to be somehow found out I was a house pet even without my collar,"

"Huh, first, we know you are a pet from just the words you say, and second, HOW DARE YOU ASK ME ANY QUESTIONS AND CALL THE LEADER 'THAT GUY' ?"

"B-but I thought you were the l-le-leader?"

"Stop stuttering, I am the leader and Hark is my father,"She replied.

"Daughter, she looks like your mom, Samantha. Be more gentle with her," said the brown cat, Hark.

The leader's eyes had faint tears. She felt bad for her father. He was getting old. She looked at Penny and saw her familiar face, she truly did look like her mother Samantha.

"Are you sure no one is looking for you young girl?" The orange tabby asked.

Penny thought then lied, "I'm a hundred percent sure that no one is looking for me."

"Then you may stay," she replied.

All the cats looked at each other and whispered.

Penny smiled from ear to ear. She looked like the happiest cat on the earth.

She followed the leader and Hark into the prettiest tree that was decorated with flowers.

She looked inside and it was wonderful. Inside were four little kittens playing tug-a-war with a vine and there was a beautiful wooden bowl with pure water at the side. There were little nests of grass for sleeping and then there was Hark starting to leave the den.

"Where are you going?" Penny asked.

"I don't sleep here," he replied then left, disappearing into the sunlight.

The leader settled in the nest and the kittens came rushing over to their mother. Penny saw them whispering to their mother and looking at Penny in an uncomfortable way.

"Forest, stop saying things like that, it's just for a few days. You are the man of the house, be an example for your sisters and be a host for Penny!" she heard the leader say to the kittens. Penny supposed they were her kids because they were calling her mother.

"But mooooom!" Forest a grey tabby kitten replied.

"WHAT SHE IS A HOUSE PET!?" one of the kittens said. She was really excited. She was also a silver tabby and she ran over to Penny.

"So my name is Lilly, and I heard you're Penny. So how is it like to be a house cat?" Lilly urged.

Penny laughed, "Well, it's kind of boring. Same routine everyday heheh. I wanted to ask how it's like being a wild cat!"

"Oh yeah! You don't know how much fun it is in the wild!" Lilly replied.

"Follow me!" She said as she rushed out of the den. Penny excitedly chases Lilly out of the den. Lilly showed her around everywhere. Soon they came to a waterfall.

"Umm, we should go back now," Lilly said.

"Aww, let's explore the waterfall instead," said Penny excitedly looking down to the lake of the waterfall.

"STOP, it's dangerous. Don't go near there, it's forbidden. There is a legend or more like true story that my mom had a sister that fell into the waterfall and disappeared and that her ghost is always lurking near the waters. The ghost is filled with revenge and whoever drinks from the death lake will never become a leader. You see, her sister also once was supposed to be the leader but she never got to be. And the lake you were looking at was then called the death lake," explained Lilly with a concerned expression.

Penny burst out laughing.

"You believe in those? Oh well, I don't want to get it trouble, lets go anyways," Penny said still laughing.

Lilly was shocked. She shook her head and walked away with Penny. Soon Lilly and Penny came to the den.
