I was confused, what did she mean?

He wasn't happy before?

"When are you gonna introduce her to the pack" she spoke to Lucas.

He stayed quiet and came to sit next to me "not yet" was all he said.

"But-"

"Daphne" he growls and I looked at him confused about what was going on. What pack?

He sighs "I don't wanna pressure her" he spoke firmly then turns to me. "You gotta eat something love. And Daphne to the living room" he said and kissed my head before leaving.

They left and I could hear them talk but in a quiet way, I wondered what they were talking about but I just focused on the food in front of me.

This must be the pancake Lucas talked about, I tried it and it really tasted good.

I bit my lip then I remember what Lucas did, I felt my cheeks heat up and heart rate sped up.

What that reaction about?

I couldn't think straight when he did that and fact I couldn't even breath properly when he was so close to me, confused me.

And what did he mean by it's not yet time? Time for what? What was I missing out on.

Soon Lucas and his sister came back and Daphne comes close to me. "Soo..erm Iris it was nice to meet you, I know you might not like me but I'll tone my self a bit to make you feel better"

I was now completely confused.

"W..what d..do you mean?" I didn't want her to leave. Though she was vibrant, she seems funny, nice, a new burst of presence in the house.

"I upset you"

I shake my head no, she didn't upset me yeah she was loud at first but she didn't upset me.

"You didn't upset me. You're different, you seem outgoing and full of energy" I explained, she stares at me surprised. "Yeah" she chuckles "i guess I am " she shrugged

Then I turned to Lucas "can she stay?"

He looks at me for a while "you said you would be busy for a few days and I c- can't be alone" I bit my lip nervous of the fact of him not being around.

He looked taken aback "how did you know?"

"I heard you tell Mrs Ava last night that you some stuffs to attend" I had heard them discuss something about moon and some thing like festivals.

He sighs defeated "is that what you want love?" He asks

I nodded excited then looked to Daphne "you will stay right?"

"Heck yeah!" She shouts making me flich "oops sorry" she apologized.

"Don't make me regret this Daphne" Lucas tells Daphne. "Mrs Ava will stay Incase Iris needs anything"

"You won't brother, cause I'm gonna be on my best behavior with my sister-in-law" she smiles.

Sister-in-law? What's that?

It was hard to watch Lucas leave, I couldn't help but hold onto tightly when he hugged me.

Even after his kisses and promises, it was hard to let go of him. It was the first time I had felt scared that someone wouldn't come back.

He would be okay right?

Why do I worry about him like this, he wouldn't leave me...would he?

"Soo Iris what do you like to do for fun?" Daphne asks me bringing me back from my thoughts.

We had moved to the living room, when Lucas left.

"I..i don't know" I answered. She folded her arms and looked in thought.

"Ah, how about we binge watch some movies huh?"

"What's that?"

"Well it's like watching your favorite interesting movies" she explains. "Oh...okay"

She turns on the screen and shows starts playing. We watch the movie and after that finished we watched more.

I actually enjoyed it, they were funny ones that made me laugh, the action was too violent and made me remember my past , Daphne had to change it when she saw my reaction.

The romantic ones that made me blush and think about Lucas.

"Eliza..you know I love you I can't ever hurt you" Joshua confesses

"You...love...me?" Eliza cry's smiling down at Joshua who's on his knees.

Joshua rises to his feet and rests his hands on her waist and pulls her in making her gasp. Me and Daphne gasped too watching them

"I do"  he pulls her for the kiss but the show suddenly ends before we could see them.

"Nooo!" Daphne gasped

"What...why did it stop?" I asked waiting for it to continue.

Daphne sighs "that's it for now. It's an ongoing movie, which means we can watch the next one until they release it" she explains.

"Oh. I really enjoyed it" I sighed disappointed "but I like it when we watched it together" I smile.

She basically makes the movies more interesting than it was.

She giggles "damn Iris you really know how to use your words" she waves off. "How about we do something else and eat snacks along with it huh?" She smirks.

I nod at her "what do you have in mind" her smirk widens and she quickly got off to the kitchen and few minutes later she was back.

"My friends and I usually do this" she says as she walks in with a small sad smile. "But hey at least I get to do this with you huh" her expressions immediately changed and she smiled.

Few minutes in, she had set up a 'board game' called checkers and with Mrs Ava also playing, they both teach me how to play. All three of us laughed and smiled and enjoyed the snacks.

I didn't even know they were other females in the world, I was mostly surrounded by males. It still surprises me how I'm fond of such a large man even larger than Damian

"You all seem to enjoying yourselves".

My heart started speeding up and turned around to see Lucas, he had his hair messy and his shirt opened at the chest with his hands tugged in his pocket.

"You're back!" I gasped and stoop up to meet him. "Woah love, remember I told you to be careful" his hands holding unto me.

"When did you come back?" Daphne asks.

"It's been six hours and 56 minutes since I left"

Woah that much time had passed?

"Talk about specifics" Daphne groans. "Guess that's my cue" she winks at me as she packs the game.

Was she leaving?

I let go of Lucas to walk over to her "let me help you" I suggested "no need, plus I don't want brother to lecture me on not stressing you and I'm sure he wants you all to himself" she winks making me chuckle.

"You will come again tomorrow right?" I asked hoping she'd say yes, I really like her.

She smiles and nods her head "yup I will. I like hanging out with you" she hugs me.

I freeze.

What do I do?

I haven't actually been hugged by a female, even Mrs Ava hadn't done that. I raised my hands to do what she did and hugged her back.

I tried to hold back my tears as her hugged her. "Thank you Iris" she says and let's go of me.

"Alright brother I'll be heading home
C'mon Mrs Ava let's leave these two to themselves" she chuckled and so dis Mrs Ava, making be blush a bit

"Take care of yourself Iris, you're doing great. Byeeee" she waves off and leaves along with Mrs Ava

"Bye" I waved back, already excited for tomorrow.
