Adrian' POV

I run a last check up on the arrangements, since Lucas has been really busy with his mate, Nate and I are in charge.

"Hey Adrian, where do want this to be?" Elvis asks me, he's one of our junior trainees, since we are days away from hosting this thing so we'll need all the help we can get.

"Keep it over there near the mini bar" I pointed.

"What about this?" Cameron, another junior asked.

"Ermm..that's for the Alphas so please arrange them properly along that table" I showed him the place I referred too.

"Should we use royal blue or black napkins" a maid asks me.

"Black" I replied. I checked the list to make we were keeping track.

"Yo Adrian come over here!" Nate shouted over the hall. I headed there and saw Nate looking weirdly at something.

"What the heck man. What is it n-" I turned to see what he was staring at, and my jaw dropped "who the damn put that there!" I yelled confused staring at the large statue of a horse in the middle of the room.

"Wait I thought you put it there?" He turned to me.

"Why the fuc- why would I put it there" I corrected myself.

"Then who did?" We turned to each other confused

"Sir where am I supposed to keep this?" Elvis asks as he walks in.

Nate and I eyes each other "hey Elvis do you know who brought this in?" Nate asks pointing at the statue.

Elvis looks at it unbothered "the Alpha's sister told us to put it there" he clarified

I grunted annoyed and Nate sighed "yeah thanks" I waved off. "And keep that by the Luna's table" I told him.

"Damnit what we gonna do?" Nate asked.

"What would Lucas do?" I asked and we both stared at it.

"Get rid of it" we both said at the same time.

Damn, Lucas better get his ass here.

Lucas' POV

I held my mate's hands as she stepped one foot in front of the other. "You're doing good love" I encouraged as she held so tightly onto me.

Dr. Andrews came by this morning to check on her and said she was doing really well so she was off the IV drip and the next thing was for her to start physical therapy and I was surprised to see she was excited to start.

"You got this" I told her, she had come so far within 3 hours, she could walk around the room and I was really proud of her.

"I want to try on my own" she tells me I nodded and slowly let go of her, with the practice we had rehearsed she made it to the door.

"I...I did it!" She smiles broadly. That's the biggest smile I had seen since. I smiled proudly at her and without thought she ran towards me.

I was quick to catch her before she fell and we both ended up on the floor. "You're the best person ever!" She smiled biting down on her lip, staring at me with her beautiful eyes.

I stared at her shocked at her statement. Ashton enjoying her delicious scent
"I am?"

She nodded her head furiously and hugged me, I froze. She hugged me tight

"You're really nice and good to me, I...I like it. I..like you" she said

Hold the horse.

She said she likes me?!

Oh damn

Ashton was going out of control with her damn good scent. "Mate likes me?" Ashton asks taking over.

She nods her head on my shoulder "yes. You're the first male to be this nice to me" she clarified.

Ashton growled and she heard it making her frighten, I quickly took control and calmed her down.

"Thank you love. I am really happy you like me" I hugged her back and kissed her on the side of her head.

I heard a soft little laugh and I pulled away to look at her. "Did you just giggle?" I was surprised, she just smiles shyly at me "damn baby your smile is just sooo damn beautiful" I groaned pulling her in again and hugged her.

"I have such a beautiful mate" I smiled.

"Mate?" She asks. "Does that mean we... we're meant to be?"

I pulled away and stared at her, she knew?

"How do you know about that"

She started at me intently with little tears forming in her eyes. "Baby..please don't cry I didn't mean to" I wiped her tears, she raised her eyes blurry blue orbs to me.

"I'm glad it's you" she held my hand closely and I watched her a bit confused

"Damian said I was his mate. That I'll be with him forever" she gave me a sad smile her tears falling down.

Ashton growls at the back of my mind "how dare he tell our mate that!" he growls. I was livid but I needed to control myself for her

"Baby I'm sorry you had-"

"Are you like...them?" She asks her hands shaking fear visible in them.

"Love look at me. I promise I would never hurt you neither would Ashton, he loves you"

She bites her lips nervously "is..is that he's name?" She asks still shaking. "Yeah, he talks about you all the time, he can't get enough of you"

She bit her lips again and looked away for a moment before turning back to me "is..is he n...nice like you?" She looked at me for hope.

"Yes he is. He loves it when you're happy, just like I do"

"C...can I meet him?"

My thought went rampage when she asked that. She really wants to meet Ashton.

"You wanna meet him?"

She nervously shook her head "you don't have to meet him if you don't want too" I reasoned with her, this wasn't how I wanted her to find out.

"But...I want to" she looked at me her eyes laser focus on me, she then put her hand in my chest, making my heartbeat speed up. "Because I...I know you won't h..hurt me" she smiled.

She trusted me. She had that much faith in me. I was completely overwhelmed with this, that I pulled her in again for another kiss.

"I just need a moment, I promise I'll be right back" I told her and nodded her head. I sat her in the couch and went to bathroom to change, I didn't want to overwhelm her.

Ashton was eager to get out to meet his mate, but I had to keep his eagerness under control so he doesn't ruin everything.

"I won't ruin it"he huffed.

"Yeah, I've heard. Just remember to take it slow she's still seem frightened by all this" I said.

"I will. Now let me meet my mate" he snorted angrily.

I let him take control and we transformed, Ashton manages to open the door and we see our mate staring in awe at us.

It made Ashton happy that his mate, awed at him. He took cautious steps towards her as she continued to stare at us.

Ashton was a black large wolf with golden eyes and was mostly feared for his aggressive looks that even his stare can make other alphas submissive.

He stopped when she frigeted and bowed down to show he meant no harm, then he sat on the floor and look at her his tongue sticking out.

She seemed amused by it and came a bit closer to us "A...Ashton?" She cautiously asked

Ashton head perks up and purrs happily. She tries to reach out to me but wavers, so Ashton closes the distance between us and sniffs her hand, making her paralyzed for a bit before she loosen up.

"You.. look so beautiful" she whispered.

Ashton purrs in delight laying down at her feet, she takes a deep breath and I could feel her head on Ashton's fur.

"It's soo...soft" she smiled rubbing Ashton's head. He purred more loudly and turned over, she giggled and petted him the more. Ashton climbs the couch and sits next to her and rests on her laps.

"Soo..."  She starts off. And Ashton snuggles further on her lap wagging his tail as she stokes him gently. "Ashton, you like me doing this?" She goes farther down to his tail making him purr.

She giggles and Ashton couldn't help but nudge her face licking her cheek, making her laugh. He loves her laugh.

"Can I tell you something?"

Ashton shakes his head then licked her. "Okay, well...I don't know why but I always feel weird and tingly when I'm around Lucas and it feels like I know him but I'm still knowing him...is that normal?"

She felt that too?

"I don't know how to be when I'm around him, but I feel... happy? When I'm with him" she continued, petting Ashton. He pouts annoyed at her talking about me.

"She feels happy when she's with me!"

"Shut up"

"She agrees with that doesn't she?"

Like she knew, she petted him again "But I like it too when you're here"

"Ha! She likes me too!"  He argued

"Yeah, yeah. That's good" I rolled my eyes
