Ezra closes the door to his little brothers room as he leaves it, having put Max to bed after he cried himself asleep.  His parents were still up waiting for him and he sighed walking towards them.  "Okay so what's the situation in Beacon that we need to go?"

"There's been high levels of downworlder activity and we need to go to handle things," Alec said, his arms crossed over his chest.  Ezra sat down in a chair nodding his head to what his father said. 

"Sounds simple enough.  Anything else?" He asked them, titling his head to the side.

"There's this thing there, it's called a Nemeton.  The place is called Beacon Hills and it is quite literally a beacon for the supernatural, all because of the Nemeton," Magnus explained to his son who nodded, processing the information.  "The Nemeton is in the form of a tree, it will most likely boost your powers once we enter the town, but this can make you power harder to control.  It can also amplify your warlock scent, making you easier to find for other downworlders, a reason I don't like going there, besides the lack of clubs."  Ezra laughed lightly at his father's words but still took them seriously.

"Okay, well if that's all then, I'm gonna go pack," He told his dads as he stood up to start heading to his room.  Alec grabbed his arm before he could start walking causing him to look at them both in curiousity.  

"Here," Alec said handing Ezra a box, which he eyed curiously.  He opened the box and his eyes widened.

"Is this what I think it is?" Ezra asked, picking up the bracelet inside.  He could feel the hum of power it gave off and he smiled at the familiar feeling.  

"We got wind of it being auctioned illegally and we went and busted them," Alec said and Ezra smiled wide before wrapping his arms around both his fathers in a hug.

"Thank you so much!"  He told them excitedly.  "I have to go activate him, he must have gone into emergency mode when I lost him battle," At this point even though his parents were the ones in front of it him, his words seemed to be directed at himself.  He quickly rushed off with the bracelet and Alec and Magnus shared a glance.

"I sometimes wonder if him getting that was good or bad," Alec said and Magnus sighed.

"Well if anyone could get that hateful creature to like them it would be him, so at least we know it will protect him and can't be used against him like most things," Magnus said and Alec nodded in agreement.

"True, and it's better than Salem," Alec said and Magnus groaned throwing his head back.

"I thought he was a normal cat!  How was I suppose to know it was a warlock cursed to be a cat?" Magnus said and Alec smiled at him shaking his head laughing.

"Oh poor you," Alec teased him before they pressed their lips together, seperating when they heard a shout of join from Ezra's room and a yowl from Salem.  "I'm guessing he activated it."

They heard a loud crash and then Ezra cussing out the item they got him, which he called Admir.  "It would seem so," Magnus said with a laugh that Alec shared.

"Our part Shadowhunter part warlock son had a talking cat and a talking transforming weapon, our adopted warlock son is blue, your the high warlock of Brooklyn and I'm a shadowhunter, aren't we just the most normal family?" Alec said and Magnus laughed lightly.

"No, but the most perfect," Magnus said with a smile that Alec shared before they heard another crash followed by Salem screaming and Ezra cussing loudly.  "Okay, now I'm worried."

Ezra looked around the disaster area also called his room.  His bed was cut in half and the window was broken, a lamp having been lauched out of it, his dresser was somehow upside down and Salem was on a blade of his metal ceiling fan.  In his hand sat a sword that had previously been the bracelet his parents gave him.  "WOW WE!  It feels good to be back!" Ezra smiles at the familiar voice in his head. 

"Hey Admir," He told the weapon that hums with power.

"Demon weapon!" Salem yowls at the sword from his place on the ceiling.  

"That's rich coming from the Warlock Cat, who can't even use his powers!"  The sword responds, his answer heard in the heads of Salem and Ezra.  

"Why you..." Salem yells before launching himself at the sword in Ezra's hand who shouts in surprise and swipes the sword away so Salem doesn't get hurt, only to end up cutting in half his desk.  Ezra cusses loudly at his desk, or well desks I guess now.  

"Okay Admir, bracelet!" Ezra yells in panic as Salem goes to lunge again.  The sword shrinks in size and winds around itself into a woven bracelet that Ezra quickly put on his wrist.  Salem was still flying towards him, so Ezra caught the cat and held it at arm's length.  Ezra was in the middle of a yelling match with Salem when his door opened so he didn't notice.  He did however notice his bisexual father's gasp.  Him and Salem went quiet and both of them turned their heads to look at the young hybrid's parents.  

"Oh that is not good," Salem said when he sees how wide Magnus's eyes are as they look around the destroyed room.  Alec on the other hand seemed to be trying to hide his laughter.

Alec wraps an arm around Magnus's shoulders and slowly leads him out of the destroyed room, normally Magnus wouldn't care that much but he had only gotten Ezra to clean it a day ago.  It took him MONTHS to get the boy to do so.  Ezra looked at his bracelet and cat with wide eyes, "I'm gonna kill you both!"  Salem lets out a yell before lunging from Ezra's hands and racing out the room and down the hall.  Admir transforms into a snake and slithers from Ezra's hand and to the floor, slinking out of sight and to safety.  Ezra racing out of the room to follow after Salem, having no clue where Admir got to.

"You stupid cat!"  He called after the black coated feline.

The cat called over it's shoulder, "There's no need to bring my intelligence into this!"  Alec and Magnus, who had now calmed down, laughed watching the two of them race around the house.  The noise the two made Max wake up and the blue 14 year old walked out of his room rubbing his eyes to rid them of sleep.  When he noticed his brother and Salem his hands dropped and he doubled over in laughter.

Ezra smiled at his brother, "Max, learning moment!  Levitate Salem to me!"  Max grinned widely and nodded his head before pushing his hands in front of his body and blue magic pulsed from him and raised the cat in the air who let out a yelp of surprise.  Ezra walked over to Max and moved his hands and made Salem twirl in the air causing the cat to scream.  Ezra's hand ruffled Max's hair and he shot his brother a proud smile that the boy returned, Alec and Magnus watched as Ezra bent down on one knee and helped show Max how to use his power.  

"Okay I love your brotherly moment and all but do you mind putting down the charmingly handsome cat?" Salem asked them and Ezra smiled before standing up and walking forward, pulling Salem out of Max's magic and petting the cat in his arms who nustled his head into the hybrid's hand.

Ezra placed down Salem who jumped on a coffee table.  The hybrid flashed his fathers a smile, "Well at least we have less to move."  Magnus and Alec smiled, laughing at their oldest who joined them laughing.  "And for the record I completely blame Admir."  

"That's just rude," They all heard the voice in their head and while his family looked around widely, not knowing where Admir was, Ezra sensed his power and raised his head to look at the ceiling fan that had a golden snake the same shade as his go to weapon wrapped around it.

"I was wondering where you had gotten off to," He said and his family followed his gaze to the snake who unwound itself from the fan and let itself fall, 3/4 way to the ground the snake turned into a bracelet that Ezra caught in his hand.  "So now that that's dealt with, I'm going to go finish packing what's left of my room."

"What happened to your room?" Max asked, his gaze curious.  Ezra grinned at him and made a big gesture towards his room, giving his brother permission to look.  Max opened the door and fell on the floor laughing.  

"Hey you little jerk!" Ezra joked rushing forward and scooping the small for his age Warlock into his arms and spinning him around. "No laughing at your older brother!"  Ezra started to tickle him and Max screamed in laughter, squirming in his brother's arms.

Magnus and Alec smiled looking at their kids, who they would both protect with their lives.
