Chapter 5

Han Jisung

"Han Jisung's group got the highest score! Well done!" Our professor stated. Our classmates all clapped in sync.

There's nothing new about my group being first.

Every group that I'm in always got the highest score in everything. When I say everything, I mean everything.

Everyone expected that to happen. I can see it in their faces. I can read their minds but I don't need to do that. Their faces speak the complete truth.

"Im Jaebum's group got second to the highest! Good job!" Our professor read the small paper in his hand.

'Dammit. We still didn't beat that Han!'

'I literally used my ability but still, nothing happened!'

That group's minds are overflowing with emotion. They invaded my mind's peace. Are they trying to beat me with this project?

'Not gonna happen.'

I smirked as I put my words in their minds. They looked shocked as they look towards me. I was doing what I usually do and that's staring at the window beside me so they won't suspect me.

'What the hell?!'

'That's creepy!'

'Did I just heard that Han's voice in my mind?!'

I really love playing with their little minds. I can just do a normal thing for me but will freak the shit out of them in just a snap.

I was slowly drifting to sleep because of boredom when I saw two men outside wearing black cloaks. I looked at them closely with my eyes. I saw Han's crest logo on their cloaks.

My eyes immediately widened. Why are they here?!

I panicked when I realized that this class is the one I shared with Felix and the others. I know thereafter us two.

But how did they figured out that we're here?!

I can't see their faces because the cloak's hood was covering almost halves of their faces. I can feel them searching for our energies. It's a good thing for us two that we can blend our energies into human's energies when we're around them.

Hyunjin and Seungmin!

They probably don't have that ability! They're going to sense the two! I need to act fast.

I can't do it myself because they're quite far from me since Felix is beside me and the two Vampire is in front of Jeongin so I interrupt Felix who's talking to Jeongin.

'Felix.'

He turned to me.

'What?'

'I need you to overpower Hyunjin and Seungmin's Vampire energy. Now.'

My eyes were telling him to speed up.

'Uhh... Okay?'

'Just do it! Quick!'

'Alright, alright!'

He put his hands up in mid-air for a split second while looking at me. He then looked towards the couple.

His eyes turned bright red for a second before it goings back to its normal brown color.

'Done.'

I didn't reply. I immediately looked outside and I saw how they made their cloaks disappear in thin air, revealing their clothes. They're wearing the same uniform as ours.

Damn. They could've sensed it before we could've even covered it.

They're both guys. One has plain jet black hair while the other has red highlights on his black hair.

I recognize these two.

Isn't this Choi Youngjae and that BamBam guy from the second group? What are they doing outside?! And why are they wearing an official Han's cloak?!

That cloak is only allowed for those who are part of Han's or those who worked for them to wear. No one can wear it that easily. You need to be either of the two.

I looked around and I saw that, that two weren't in their seats. So that's really them. What?!

They disappeared from the spot they were staying a while ago. They ran up to our classroom's door. I can feel their energies outside the door when the bell rang, indicating that today's school ended completely.

I almost didn't recognize that BamBam because of his hair. He has blonde hair with multiple highlights yesterday, at least as what I remembered because I rarely look at them, but he came back with black hair with red highlights only.

Our professor left before they entered inside. I followed every one of their movements with my eyes.

"Where were you two?"

I used my sense manipulation to hear what they're saying. I can hear what that BamBam guy can hear as I used my ability to manipulate his senses.

"Just needed to finish something. We needed to comply or you know what's going to happen."

Youngjae said with a straight face. I saw how his eyes turned a bright purple for a split second.

"We're being watched."

I heard him say. I swiftly looked at the window beside me.

"I don't feel anything, though. You're just being paranoid again, Youngjae."

"Maybe, I am."

I was somehow felt relieved that they didn't notice me. I decided to stop listening to them since they started chatting about random stuff.

My ears burned for a second but it immediately subsided. That's the effect of using my sense of manipulation.

I can invade any person or vampire's five senses. I can see what they can see, hear what they can hear, smell what they can smell, taste what they can taste, and touch what they can touch.

But after I use it, the senses that I manipulate burns for a second or two. Sometimes it's bearable if I used it for a small amount of time. Sometimes it's not bearable if I overused it.

I can lose the senses that I manipulate for a couple of days even weeks if I overused it. That's why I rarely used it and besides, we're around normal people. There's no one that I should use that ability to.

I stood up since it was dismissal anyway. It's time to go home. I just grabbed my bag and walked off. I knew that Felix won't go with me when I accidentally read his mind earlier before going out.

I was about to turn to the alley towards our street when someone walks in front of me making me halt my steps.

He wasn't even close to me but I don't like having people close to me so I stopped far from where he is standing. I glared at the person.

"Alone? Like the usual."

The person said with a voice flat and hard as a stove lid. He wasn't looking at me. I just glared at him. The sides of his mouth quirked up, forming a small smirk across his face.

"What do you want." I deadpanned him. I wasn't in the mood of talking to people especially if they're one of those persons who wear Han's official cloak.

"Calm down. I just want to talk." He said before looking up at me. His eyes were normal before it turned like two purple orbs for seconds.

"I don't want to talk." I straightforwardly said as I lazily looked at him. My voice sounds dead as I was really bored and I want to go home. Well, not really.

"You're watching us earlier aren't you." He stated rather than asked, ignoring my comment.

"So what if I am. What are you going to do about it?" I can feel my hands warming up.

"Easy, Jisung. I didn't come here to fight you." He looked at me in the eyes. I felt immense pain for a slight moment when our eyes have contact with each other.

My eyes become bloodshot from what just happened. I was about to attack him when a hand restrained me from my shoulder.

"Chill out, brother." Jimin came in front of me. "He isn't our enemy." She said with a smile.

"Min empistéveste kanénan."

"Really, huh. You said it yourself, don't trust anyone." I wasn't even letting my guard down for a bit because this could be a trap.

"Geez, just give me this one! Youngjae isn't our enemy. He is, in fact, our eyes and ears inside Han." She said before turning to Youngjae. "Where's Bamie?"

"Here!"

A voice immediately answered out of nowhere. Her mouth curved into a smile when a boy came out of the dark.

"Bambam! Where are you?"

"I just sat there watching these two bickers. It's too boring to join but entertaining to watch!" He smiles back at her.

I just smiled bitterly before slowly walking away. I put my hands on my jean's pocket on both sides.

"Where are you going?" Jimin asked me as I passed her.

"Home." I simply answered not bothering to look back. I continued to slowly walk.

They just talked thereafter I was gone. I guess they're close.

The keys chimed with each other as I open our house's door. I threw my bag beside the stairs before plopping myself down on the couch.

I turned the TV on when my thoughts started to wander off.

Why would I want to have friends?

It's nice being alone anyway.
