Han Jisung

"Good morning."

"Good morning!"

As usual, the other students attentively greeted me when I walked in the hallway. I just smiled at them as I was used to their greetings.

I entered my room. I immediately turned to the window beside me after I flopped down my seat. It's like my daily routine after the school days started.

"Brother!" Shit! I forgot that Felix will be in my morning class today!

I turned to his voice's direction. I saw him with his three friends. I sighed before talking.

"What?" I deadpanned. I don't have the energy to talk to him. Especially with those three friends of his.

"Uhh..." He was hesitant. I didn't care to read his mind. It's not like I care what he's going to say anyway.

"What?" I repeated with a poker face again. My voice is void of any emotions.

"Nothing." He sighed before turning to his friends.

"Tsk." I turned my head to the side looking back to where I'm used a minute ago. I used my enhanced hearing to shut everyone inside the room and focus my ears on nature behind the thick glass of the window beside me.

The leaves rustle in the wind and are whipped into the air. The voices of little children filled my ears. I looked down and I saw no kids playing.

Wait, didn't I heard voices of children a while ago?

I shook the thought off. Maybe, I'm just hallucinating again.

"Good morning, class!"

Great, here comes another day on hell.

"Okay class, since our topic is about 'mythical creatures', I decided to pair you up into groups to do a project." What do mythical creatures have to do with groupings and projects? What the hell?!

"Ugh... I hate this..." I whispered.

"You hate what? The groupings?"

Okay, how the hell did he heard that?! Is he a freaking cat hybrid?!

I made sure to whisper so silently but he manages to hear it! What the hell?!

"Uh... Did I say anything?"

"Yeah. I heard you whisper 'Ugh... I hate this...' and I clearly heard that." Damn! He even got the same intonation and how I said it.

I swear, he isn't human.

"That's not from me." I denied as I put my sight back to where I used to look.

"But, I heard it from him..."

Ugh, stop breaking my peace of mind, you annoying and flirty guy!

"So for the groupings, group 1 will be Im Jaebum, Park Jinyoung, Choi Youngjae, Kim Yugyeom, Kunpimo--"

"Just call me Bambam, seonsaengnim!" Said the one who has multiple highlights in his blonde hair.

"Alright, let me repeat. Group 1 will be Bambam, Im Jaebum, Park Jinyoung, Choi Youngjae, Kim Yugyeom, Tuan Mark, and Wang Jackson."

Is it coincidental that they're sitting on one row?

"I told you, I can do it."

Of course, they're not.

"Group 2 will be Kang Jehwi, Go..."

I didn't continue listening to what he's saying. It's not like it's my group, anyway.

"And the last group will be Yang Jeongin, Hwang Hyunjin, Kim Seungmin, Han Jisung, and Felix, Lee..." Wait. Did he just said, Felix?!

I looked around the room. Felix's blonde hair stood out. He's sitting beside the three. Ugh... I hate this.

"--Minho, Bang Chan, Kim Woojin and Seo Changbin." Our professor added more names that weren't at all familiar to me. Ban Chan?! I have a groupmate who's a side dish?!

"What you'll gonna do is do a presentation about your chosen mythical creature by picking a paper in this box." He pointed to the small box that's on the table in front of him.

"Alright, Im Jaebum, stand up." The one whose name is Jaebum stood up and went to the front to pick their mythical creature.

"Hybrids. Any kind." He read what's on the paper out loud. Nice catch.

The person that our professor called out for the second group stood up and did the same thing.

"Black magic users like witches, etc." She read out loud.

Many groups did the same and I didn't really listen to any of them except for the two groups who picked first. And finally, it's our turn.

"Han Jisung, stand up." I eventually stood up upon hearing my name. I slowly walked up to the front.

Something bad is gonna happen. I can already feel it.

I pull the last paper out of the box. I slowly revealed it. My shoulders immediately went down when I saw the first letter. It couldn't be!

"Vampires..." I gulped hard after I said that two-syllabled word.

I unconsciously looked at Felix and his friends. I saw how their eyeballs almost popped out of their eye sockets because of how widened their eyes were.

I didn't want to read their minds but their thoughts alongside their emotions are so strong that It made me read them even tho I didn't intend to.

'What the hell?!'

'How?!'

'How the heck?!'

I'm getting dizzy because of their overpowering emotions that I slightly wobble on my way back to my seat.

I closed my eyes tightly, in an attempt to stop listening to their thoughts. I felt a huge pang of pain in my head making me lowly groan.

'Is he okay?'

A mind said. I secretly tried to figure out who said that by just my senses without opening my eyes. I was bothered when I figure out who's mind said that.

Lee Minho.

'I'm fine.'

And because of the pain, I accidentally sent him an assurance which I regret. I can feel his eyes burned into my skull. I made sure to not open my eyes.

I shouldn't have done that! I should've controlled myself!

I just sighed before resting my head to my chair, calming myself.

Don't overthink.

Calm down.

"So... Umm..."

It's so awkward being with my groupmates for the first time. We're 9 in total.

"Why are you at my class, Felix," I stated rather than asked.

"Well, I want to be with them. And besides, my last class is boring." He wants to be with them. Not me.

"You're not a student in our class?"

"Uhh... I'm not."

"Then how did you manage to be with us? Suspicious."

Felix didn't say anything. I was about to speak when that guy who has a long chin spoke.

"Ey, don't be rude at Felix!" He said as he nudged the shoulder of that Ban Chan guy.

"Thanks, C-Changbin h-hyung." Felix slightly stutters. They know each other?!

"You know each other?" The fox hybrid said, beating me.

"Uh, yeah. Since I already know you guys, I'm gonna introduce them to you guys, and vice versa." Felix said with a smile.

"Sure."

"Okay."

I mentally rolled my eyes. I wasn't smiling but I wasn't in one of my annoyed expressions. I just have a blank face on.

"This is Hyunjin hyung, Seungmin, and Jeongin." He pointed out those who owned the names that he mentioned.

Hyunjin has his arm around Seungmin's shoulder. Jeongin doesn't have his ears and tails shown. Probably, because we're in school.

"And this is my twin, Jisung." He said as he pointed me who's beside him.

"I didn't know you have a twin, Felix-ah!" That Woojin guy said. It looks like he never talked about me.

"Anyway, guys-" He said before turning to us. "This is Chan hyung, Woojin hyung, Minho hyung, and Changbin hyung." He said.

The way he said that guy who has a long chin's name sounds so fancy. He makes it sounds like he's so special. What's with these two? Don't tell me...

"They're older than Hyunjin hyung so they're much older than us." He said while smiling.

"Enough with the names, let's focus on our project." My blank face lit up when I plastered a forced smile. The others just agreed awkwardly.

"I suggest that since we're like two groups joined into one, we divided it into two and go in our own ways learning about Vampires. And then we'll meet up then add what we studied." Hyunjin suggested. Not bad.

At least, I'll be far away from that Lee Minho slash the flirtiest guy of them all.

The bell rang indicating that we should separate ways and go to our classes.

Finally. A class without them.

"Alright, study for today and tomorrow and then we'll meet up in someone's house if that's fine with you all?" Ban Chan said.

"Yeah, yeah. We should go now." Seungmin answered. We stood up and separated ways.

I walked faster when I'm out of their sight. I left in just a blink of an eye. No one of them can see or run after me.

I quietly entered my last class today and go to my usual spot.

I thought about our project. We'll get the highest score. They got 4 Vampires with them.

They don't even need to study.

They just need us.
