Han Jisung

"I'm gonna kill you next!"

I shot awake, breathing heavily. I harshly wiped my face. I trembled out of anger because of the nightmare.

Fuck you, Luther!

I continued to pant heavily like I'm racing for my own breath. Suddenly, tears started to run down my face.

"Mother..." I longingly muttered under my breath.

Why did they have to take her?

They should've taken me instead!

"Mother..." I muttered repeatedly. More tears came out racing down my face when I remember her face smiling at me for all the times that I'm with her.

Why do they have to make her suffer?

I forced myself to stop crying, even though it hurts so much.

I shouldn't just cry here. I should make them realize that Luther is on the move.

I wiped my tears, harshly as I stood up when I realize that I'm somewhere unfamiliar.

The room I was on reminded me of my old room at the palace I used to live on. But...

The scent is different.

The color is different.

The feeling is different.

Everything is different. It's surely not my old room.

This room just reminded me of the tiring life I used to live on. The life where I received nothing but hate and pain.

Treated like trash, being called stupid names, being disowned by my own father, making me feel like I'm a shame into the family, every single fucking day just because we're gays.

He threw us out like a stuffed toy that he doesn't like anymore. He just didn't care.

If it's not just only for Felix and my mother, I could snap his neck right at the moment when he threw Felix out.

Mother and Felix begged me not to do anything and just... Let it happen.

And for the first time, I regret listening to them.

I promised Felix that I wouldn't let anything bad happen to Mother. I promised him that nothing bad will happen to him.

But those promises were long broken. I couldn't do anything when Luther always hurt him. I couldn't do anything when Luther killed Mother.

I couldn't do anything but watch him hurt everyone I love.

And I'd had enough.

I wouldn't let him hurt Felix.

He has to kill me first.

Jisung let us rest for the day.

Jisung did. Not Youngjae.

He acts like he's the owner of the mansion yet he isn't. He acts as the leader which is far from being him. Youngjae is even older than him yet Youngjae can't speak up against him.

As far as I know him for a while, I noticed that he didn't like getting involved with anyone rather than his brother.

He looks hella scary even tho he's not saying anything and he's always on his own world, staring at the window all times.

And hearing him talk with the most serious voice and seeing him with a stoic expression on his face makes it 10 times scarier.

Youngjae, the original owner of this mansion, told us that it's fine to wander around the mansion but he forbid us to go outside the gates since it's too dangerous as he stated.

The maids guided us to our own guest rooms. We decided to be with someone in each room.

Chan and Woojin decided to be in the same room. Those two younger Vampires and that red-haired one decided to be in the same room too, as what I heard.

Changbin and I decided to be in the same room too. We were the only humans here. Well, that red-haired one doesn't seem to be a human to me. I mean, he's hanging out with Vampires.

But we too are with a Vampire.

He's still not human! I can feel it. He's either one of them too or another creature but he isn't human.

"Hyung... Do you think we're safe with them?" I heard Changbin mumbled beside me while we're walking towards our guest room.

"I don't know." I sighed.

"But... Chan hyung and Woojin hyung seemed to be fine with them. Besides, Chan hyung is one of them too. I'm sure those two wouldn't let anything bad happen to us." I slowly added.

"But they hid a secret to us! Do you still think they're trustworthy?"

"Changbin. All we can do now is trust them. We don't have the strength to fight those who attacked us earlier. Only they can protect us. Don't worry. We'll be safe." I assured him before patting his shoulder a couple of times.

"I guess... You're... You're right..." He sighed. The walk becomes silent after that. After some time, we reached the hall of guest or spare rooms.

The three youngest goes on the first door. Chan and Woojin go to the second door. Youngjae leads us two to the third door.

Changbin entered first. I had enough time to steal a glance at Jisung and Felix. I saw them talking to each other.

Before I could see more of what they're doing, Changbin already grabbed my arm, dragging me inside.

I stood there speechless in awe when I got to see the room, or is it still considered as one.

"Woah!" I exclaimed. The fact that this is just their spare room blows my mind away.

It has two king-sized beds and a living room. A freaking living room inside a spare room! How cool is that?!

"Never in my life, I expected that I'll be inside of this kind of room. It's so massive and beautiful!" Changbin exclaimed as he flopped down on one of the huge beds in the room.

"Same, Changbin. Same." I imitated what he did to the bed next to the one he's laying on.

He spent said anything more. After some minutes I looked at him and I saw him with closed eyes. He's probably sleeping.

I sighed as I stood up. I looked around the room, playing with the things I found interesting. I was moving freely yet carefully.

I don't want to break anything since everything looks so expensive and fancy.

After some time, I got bored so I decided to go out of the room. I quietly closed the large doors after I let my body out of the room.

This mansion is so massive so I made sure to look for a maid to ask for directions towards the garden which I was sure that they have within this mansion.

"Sir? May I help you?" A maid asked me with a weird accent.

"Could you lead me to a garden, please? I'm sure I'll get lost if I look for it myself."

"Of course, sir." She smiled as she walked to my front.

I wasn't used to this kind of treatment. The maids are so modest and you could really tell that they're disciplined which is rare to see. For me, at least.

We walked past large doors that have a beautiful design engraved in it. Every part of the mansion inside and out is so beautifully created and designed.

We walked past a large door which has two guards side by side, guarding the room's entrance.

I wonder what's inside.

"Sir, we're here." The maid that accompanied me stated. The cold breeze of the night brushed to my cheeks.

"Thank you." The maid bowed before leaving me alone.

I sat down the bench that I first saw when I looked around.  The fireflies illuminated the grass. I was weirded out because the fireflies looked green and the grass looks like purple.

There's also a long pathway but I couldn't see the end of it. It's too dark to even figure out what's in there so I didn't bother minding it.

"So, you claimed my mansion after we're gone?"

I heard a familiar voice from behind. I looked back and I saw a tree. I can feel a familiar aura from the other side of the tree. I quietly sat there and looked at my front.

I don't want whoever was talking there find out that I'm here.

"I'm sorry, Jisung."

Jisung?!

My eyes went wide.

His mansion?! This is his?!

I couldn't take the urge anymore. I stood up and went behind the big tree. I watch them talking to each other.

"What are you going to do now?" Youngjae sighed.

"I will make sure he wouldn't get the chance to hurt Felix. He has to kill me first before he can even touch even the tip of Felix's fingers." I was shocked at what I heard from Jisung.

Is it just brother instinct? Like to care so much for your brother? I don't know how that feels like since I'm just an only child.

"And how are you supposed to do that? You're going to watch him every day?" Youngjae asked as he looked at the sky.

"If I need to do that to be sure that he's safe, I'll do it. But I want to give him some space for himself too." Jisung sighed. Jisung put both of his hands to the pocket of his jeans.

"There goes the Jisung I knew." Youngjae chuckled.

I felt my body froze when I heard him quietly giggled.

God, his giggle is so cute!

"We should probably go back inside now."

"Yeah, we should."

They were walking back inside the mansion when I turn my head to look at them.

"It's a good thing they didn't notice me." I sighed in relief. But I couldn't get that pleasant sound out of my head.

Jisung's giggle is so cute.

I wish I could hear it more often.
