~Chapter 13~

- Kingdom Cridia

(Caroline's POV)

I had finally arrived at Cridia. It was my first time actually getting a good look at the kingdom its self and so far it was quite beautiful. The streets were stone, houses that had a cozy and older look to them lined the streets, as people hurried along them to where they were going for it was only midday. The sun beamed down onto the ponds and rivers that were in the grassy areas and parks, while the children ran around, and adults hide under umbrellas and tress trying their best to shield themselves from the high summer heat.

Little shops and cafés scattered here and there among the blocks of houses and shops, providing a cool place for people to go. Ice cream parlors and stands were crowded with children, eager to cool themselves with the creamy, sweet, goodness. My gaze was fixated out the window for the whole ride. I didn't know we had arrived until I hear the drivers car door slam shut and mine open.

I stepped out smiling at him and walked around to the back of the car were our bags were already being unloaded. I picked up one bag only for it to be plucked from my hands by Gabriel.

"Really." I said, boredom laced in my voice as I roll my eyes.

"Yes really. Your our guest, so you don't carry your bags." He said giving me one of his stupid smiles.

"Ironic how there my bags but I can't carry them." I said following him up to the door, Celeste following behind me quietly. "Plus, don't I rule over this kingdom. So, technically I'm not a guest." I sass.

"Your a terrible ruler if you've only ever been to your kingdom twice." He said chuckling.

"I'll have you know I've been here many times while you were here and at school." I fire back. "Do you not remember the times I made surprise visits when we were younger?" I question

"Fine, you win." He said giving up.

"Thank you, and I'll take that." I say, walking up to him and taking my suitcase back with a smug look on my face. He just shakes his head and rolls his eyes at me.

-----

Once Gabriel had shown me my room, he told me that there will be a dinner after I have settled in. He also told me that I will have someone escort me to and from places until I find my bearings. But for now, I am left in my room to unpack my things and settle in.

My room is huge and very pretty. It has a cozy feel to it but still has a classic look. The room was themed gold, white, and a grayish purple. A king sized bed stood against the right wall with two big white pillars on opposite sides of it that held up a roof like structure. There was a big hanging lamp in the middle of the room, a vanity, two lamps on bedside tables, on either side of the bed, a few chairs and sofas around the room, and big swirly rug in front of the bed. To the left there were two doors. One lead to a huge walk in closet and the other lead to a huge bathroom.

So far I was enjoying my stay. Celeste was next door in her own room getting unpacked as well. So that left me to do what ever I wanted till it was time for me to get ready. So to let the time pass, I decided to start on the chore that was unpacked my suitcases. This might take awhile...

-----

It was time for me to get ready now and Celeste couldn't stop talking about how everything was so different and cozy. A good change from home. This was Celeste's first time leaving my kingdom to travel. So I let her rant about anything and everything. You would think she had ten pounds of straight sugar because of how excited she was. She was also joining us for dinner tonight.

We are considered guests, and because of that, Celeste gets the same treatment as me. I don't mind it at all. I even told her that this could be her vacation, but she still has to help me with my outfits. She was very quick to agree with my terms and I can tell she's enjoying it so far.

She already had an idea of what she wanted me to wear. She said simple but elegant. And simple but elegant it was. The dress she chose was plain and burgundy, with black laced shoulders. A matching pair of heels and a somewhat simple ponytail went along with it. Celeste was wearing something similar to my outfit. Once we were ready we left our room and was lead to the Dinning Hall.

-----

"Lier!" I say dropping my fist on the table.

"No!" Gabriel said trying to argue back.

"Your telling me you didn't meet anyone 'special' while you were gone?" I question, raising my eyebrows.

"Yes. And even if I did, why should I tell you?" He retorts.

"Because I'm basically your sister. I have a right to know." I point out.

"Fine, your right." He said giving in. But I still give him a questionable look.

"Right about what? Being your sister or you meeting someone?" I ask.

"Well... both." He says.

"YAY! I win! Now tell me everything about her." I say excitedly, resting my elbows on the table, and my head on my hands showing interest in everything he was about to say.

"Well... we meet when I was stationed in the Adeniel Kingdom. We were fighting side by side the whole time. We saved each others lives. It was special." He said, looking dazed in admiration.

"Awwww! She sounds amazing!" I coo.

"Ya, very amazing." He says still looking dazed.

"What does she look like?" I ask, eager to find out more.

"Brown hair, bright green eyes, tall." He says, a small smile on his face.

"Sounds like your type of girl. Is she ever going to visit?" I ask.

"Actually yes. Later on this week." He told me.

"And when were you planning on telling me this?" I ask, faking looking hurt.

"Didn't think it was important." He said shrugging his shoulders.

"Nothing's ever important to you." I say rolling my eyes, picking at the rest of my food.

"Its just another guest." He says like its nothing.

"No, another very important guest." I correct, pointing my fork at him and waving my knife a little.

"Watch where you point that thing, will ya?" He says slowly pointing my knife down and away from him. I just chuckle an 'ok' and continue eating.

"Celeste, you've been awfully quite tonight. How are you liking your stay so far?" Gabriel asks and Celeste's head pops up.

"I am enjoying my stay very much. Everything is much different from back home, sir." She says politely.

"No need to say sir. Your my guest, you can address me as Gabriel." He says smiling at her nicely and she just nods.

"Well, hate to cut dinner short but I'm tired. Excuse me, but I am going to bed. Oh, and if you make a trip to my room and I'm not there, I'll probably be lost somewhere in the castle." I say getting up from my seat. "Celeste." I say giving her the look.

"I'm going to head up too. Good night." She says also getting up.

"Good night, see you in the morning." Gabriel says bidding us farewell.

As soon as we leave the Dinning Hall our guide comes straight back to our side and takes us back to our rooms. Once back at my room Celeste immediately starts to question me.

"Where are you going this time? We just got here." She asks.

"I'm going out. I did say I had some business to take care of." I said as I tried to get the zipper of my dress.

"Ya, I know, but where?" She asks again.

"I don't think Bruce knows I'm back in town yet."
