Nico sighed. "You have to Perce-" I cut him off with a glare. "Sorry, Burn." He ran a hand through his bangs. "The demigods will get wiped out if you don't do this-" "They betrayed me!" "I know, but they've changed! Perce they look for you 24/7! There's not a day that goes by where they don't think about you!" I huffed. "Fine. But your coming with me Mr.Antisocial." He glared at me. "Fine whatever." I smirked at him and I adjusted my bandana. Nico noticed it finally. "Why do you wear that if you have to keep adjusting it? Doesn't it get annoying?" My smirk widened. "Because of this." I let it slip off my face and then blinked at him. He jumped back in shock. "Holy Hephaestus!" I blinked again and looked down as I slipped the fabric back on. "That's why." He laughed and I felt proud that I had the power to make him happy. "That's awesome man!" I smiled at him and he looked down a little. I cocked my head to the side. "What's wrong?" He shook his head. "Nothing." He looked back up, then stood up. "We should get going before Zeus decides to blast us." I nodded reluctantly. "I'll meet you on the hill." "What? How are you-" Before he could finish I shadow traveled away.

I reappeared underneath a tree a moment later. Suddenly, Nico appeared in front of me. "Styx! How'd you do that Perce?!" I smirked, and shrugged. "Just something I picked up in my spare time." Nico looked at me suspiciously. "You and your secrets." I nodded. "Let's go. I want to get this over with." It was his turn to nod as we walked up the hill and to the border. When we got closer, I heard screaming and shouting. I nudged the cute boy next to me. He looked up and nodded.

We both started running to the commotion, and at the same time I unsheathed my katana. When we got to the scene I glared. Annabeth was being held by some monster twenty feet in the air. The Apollo children where shooting arrows, but they bounced harmlessly off the monsters skin. I saw Nico start to unsheathe his sword, but I put a hand on his. "I got this." He looked at me skeptically but reluctantly dropped his hand.

I started to sprint to where the monster was. One by one, the campers started to notice me. "Hey!" "Who is that guy?!" "What does he think he's doing?!" "He's going to die!" I smirked and shoved my katana in the ground. I used that to propel me into the air, and I yanked it out last second. I held it above my head with my hands as I flew towards the monster. I screamed as I plunged it into its head with a satisfying 'crunch'. I dropped to the ground with one fist on the ground. I heard a scream. Annabeth. I quickly made her shadow swallow her up. A moment later she popped out of a shadow from a tree near the border.

I was still in my pose. Everyone was silent until I heard footsteps coming from behind me. I stood up and glanced at Nico behind me. His eyes were slightly wide, but he managed to keep his stoic face. I nodded to him, and he nodded back. Suddenly, a booming voice sounded. "Who stands before me?!" I looked back at the crowd of demigods that had parted for Chiron to come through. I scratched the back of my head. "Burn. I was sent here with Nico by the gods." He looked at me suspiciously so I sighed. I reached into my pocket and pulled out a pouch. In it was Riptide in pen form. I threw it at Chiron and he caught it, while still staring at me. He slowly opened it and then gasped. He looked at me slowly and I scowled at him. He motioned to the demigods that had started to get out their weapons. "Stand down." He looked at Nico who was behind me. "Come in then, Burn and Nico." I smirked and glanced at Annabeth who was walking back to the group as I walked across the border. She made eye contact, but then quickly looked down. I nodded in satisfaction and I heard Nico snort behind me.

We walked in the camp and I scowled as unwanted memories came back to me. Nico nudged me curiously and I shrugged him off. "Unwanted memories, I'm fine." He nodded and I blinked. We walked for a few minutes until we stopped in front of the Big house. Chiron looked at the remaining demigods. "Go along." Before Annabeth could leave. "Gather the seven then go the infirmary Annabeth." She nodded, then slumped as she walked away. I looked at her curiously. I was about to ask Nico something when Chiron's voice interrupted me. "Come in you two."

We followed him in and then sat down on the chairs around the table. I sat down in my normal chair at the head of the table and Nico sat in the Hades chair as we waited for the rest of the group to get here. Eventually, they came in. When I thought Chiron was going to close the door so we could start the meeting, an annoying voice in the background yelled out. "Sorry I'm late!" Jake ran in shortly after. I glared at him with venom.

He walked up to me. "I'm not sure who you think you are, but get out of my seat." My eyebrow shot up. "Your seat? Last time I checked it didn't have your name on it." Probably because he couldn't write it. He glared at me. "Get out." I rolled my eyes. "Sorry not going to happen kid." He took a step forward but I was faster. I quickly unsheathed my katana and held it to his face like I did with the man at the front desk. He gulped and heard Nico in the background. "Uh Burn?" My face remained a mask. Eventually, Jake backed away and then sulked over to the chair at the other end of the table. I sheathed my katana then quickly threw my legs over the arm rest of the chair and leaned my chin on my fist. "So are we going to start this shit fest or not?"
