The cover and title are quite lovely and only get better when you think about them in a rave-and-drug-use context. Your blurb could be better—maybe just a bit longer and more detailed to really do this book justice. Upon reading, I was hooked immediately. Your writing style is absolutely gorgeous and stunning, so much so that you've succeeded in making a genre that's never appealed to me into a book I'm in love with. This is beautiful and heartfelt with just the right amount of angst and characters that stand out even if we don't know their names. Some of your creative choices were very risky, like the complete lack of names (at least for the first three chapters) and the decision to have your narrator tell the story as if it were to another character. However, personally, I thought they worked well and made the book very interesting and different from what I've read. This book truly blew me away and I hope you keep writing.

Very beautiful writing and very poetic, with very good use of grammar and punctuation etc. The writing in the first chapter especially drew me in and some of the sentences gave me chills e.g. 'some people need to leave home to find their home'. I also love how most of the story is written in second person, something I haven't seen a lot of in WP books, as if the narrator is telling the story to who I assume he falls in love with. There isn't much dialogue throughout the first few chapters, but what's there is written well and believable, and I think the descriptions and the beautiful writing overall makes up for the lack of dialogue, as sometimes dialogue isn't needed to tell a powerful story, like you have done.

I really love this one. First of all, I immediately loved the cover. It's very colourful and eye-catching, I love the fonts used and the drawings of the two girls are done in very nice and unique way. I also like the title, as it draws the reader in as I'd want to find out who April is and what might happen to her in the story. Furthermore, I really love how the blurb was written. It talks a lot about the story, but in a way that not a lot is spoiled for the reader, and it creates many questions I'd want to find out the answer to. For example, what was the unfortunate accident that happened to the sisters? (By the way, love how they are named April and May). The art is so pretty, whoever did those is very talented, and the inclusion of the slang glossary is something I don't see much in WP stories, which is interesting.

The book starts off with the inner monologue of who I assume is May, explaining some of the past behind the characters. Sometimes I'd rather be told about the past of characters later on in the story, but I really like how the first chapter is written. The voice is very distinct and I can picture the character telling the story, and I already begin to feel sympathy towards them as they mention how they feel overshadowed by their older sister, April. While we are being told some of the history, we're not told about the incident that happened just yet, which I like as the reader will grow more intrigued as to what happened to change April so drastically.

The dialogue is also very well written, especially between April and May as it is clear right from the start that their relationship as siblings is strained, which I'm sure some readers would be able to relate to. I'm also liking April's attitude in her dialogue, specifically when she's talking with her parents. I think the grammar is pretty perfect, but maybe there are some aspects that can be looked over. It takes a lot for me to get into WP books if I'm honest, but this one has really spiked my interest.

I think the 'before' 'then' and 'after' theme is interesting too. I like how we can see how the family dynamic was before, and how April and May got along before the mystery incident occurred. The dialogue between April and her mother is also very believable as they argue just like your typical mother-daughter pair. In the 'before' chapters, I think you've pulled off the 10-year-old voice very well. The way she mimics her older sister and feels safe around her is very heart-warming, it's a shame that whatever happened changed this for them. And the way that Evie  speaks about her mother's 'mysterious' job is so wholesome. I think the writing is beautiful and it hit me in the feels when April comforted May in the 2nd chapter. I'd also love to see how Evie and May's relationship blossoms after reading the 3rd part, which I have a feeling it will.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book, and I'd love to continue reading. As I've said, it takes a lot for me to get into WP books, but I'm really liking the characters, the voice, the dialogue, and I really want to find out what happens. There really isn't much I'd want to change about it.
