Prologue- The land of Gensokyo
Gensokyo, a vast land with different landscapes and beings. A majority of these beings are none other than yokai. These yokai cause havoc among the land of Gensokyo, they're not monsters either but take the forms of young women. These beings have immense power that threaten the land of Gensokyo, it has been like this for centuries. The maiden of the Hakurei shrine, Reimu Hakurei, is the one to step up and take care of these yokai.
"Spell card Fantasy Sign: Fantasy Seal!!" The shrine maiden named Reimu casted her signature move. She fired a circle of rainbow orbs straight at the enemy. She stood a safe distance as she watched the Fantasy Seal blow up in a humongous explosion. She then sighed.
"Stupid yokai, today was suppose be the annual party at the shrine. And I still need to set up." She said irritated. She hit her purification rod in her palm softly before signing again.
"Yo Reimu, what's with all the sighing?" A rough female voice asked.
"I'm irritated that this job took up the time to set up for the party. Now I have a bunch of work waiting for me, maybe you can help me Marisa?" Reimu asked and turned to the blond witch.
"Hm, I dunno." Marisa said and scratched her forehead with her finger.
"I got threaten by Patchouli to return her books." She said.
"Did you steal again?" Reimu asked deadpanning.
"Yeah." Marisa responded making Reimu sigh once again.
"Well whatever, I'll just head home so I can finish this already. Maybe I can bribe Suika with sake (pronounced sah-kay.) to help me." She said.
"Well I'll see ya at the party later da ze!" Marisa exclaimed and flew off on her broom. Reimu waited a few seconds staring at the orange sunset sky before floating up and flying towards the shrine.
'Now I know, something's happening. But what? Does Yukari know?' She thought.
Gensokyo has been a land sealed off from the contact of the outside world for centuries because of a powerful barrier. None have ever penetrated the border to Gensokyo none have ever gotten in or out. That is...until one day, the border has started to fall.
"Yukari-sama, what does this mean?" A figure named Ran asked. Ran was one of Yukari's familiars per say, she's the figure of the nine tailed fox.
"Is this bad?" Another figure named Chen asked. Chen was another familiar, more of a Neko.
Yukari stood at the outskirts of Gensokyo and narrowed her eyes.
"The barrier is becoming weak." She said and stared ahead.
"What?! That's impossible! This barrier has held strong for centuries because of you Yukari-sama!" Ran exclaimed and Chen looked a little frightened.
Yukari glared at the space in front of her. There's something that's weakening the barrier, something even she can't even explain. It won't be long before the barrier falls, and if the border falls...the connection between the two worlds, the two dimensions shall be too much. They shall dissipate, and she cannot let that happen.

"Whoohoo! Pass more of the sake over here!" A drunk Marisa exclaimed and grinned. Reimu, a little drunk but still sober, rolled her eyes. A ton of people came to this party or hers, all of them old yokai that she defeated. Remilia Scarlet, Sakuya Izayoi, Patchouli Knowledge, and Hong Meiling from the Scarlet Devil Manor; Sanae Kochiya from the Moriya shrine; Alice Magartroid; Youmu Konpaku and Yuyuko Saigyouji from the netherworld; Cirno the frost fairy; the Tengu Aya Shameimaru from Yokai Mountain; and finally her close acquaintances Suika Ibuki the oni and Kirisame Marisa the witch. All were gathered in the shrine drinking the night away and telling stories. Reimu tried to drink merrily like the ones surrounding her, but the dreaded feeling she had earlier never went away. Rather it spiked her anxieties of a foreshadowing tragedy.
"I'm stepping outside for a bit." She said, not that anyone would listen. They were too distracted by a drunk Marisa and Suika.
Reimu went outside the shrine to the gates and stared at the night sky. The stars were ever radiant and showed no hostility.
"Maybe my mind has been stressed with all the yokai attacks." She mumbled and shook her head. She then narrowed her brown eyes.
"But I'm assuming you know something about this...Yukari." Reimu said without turning around.
"As always a great sixth sense Reimu." Yukari's voice rang behind her.
"Is that what your here to tell me?" Reimu asked and turned to face her. Yukari twirled her parasol and chuckled, "Now now I wouldn't miss one of the Hakurei shrine's night parties." She said playfully but then her face turned serious.
"But that feeling you've been getting, is real." She said and Reimu stiffened.
"The barrier to Gensokyo...has been weakening. There is a chance of it collapsing." Yukari said. Reimu's eyes widened and she gaped at her. Surely the woman had lost her mind.
"The barrier has been there for centuries and now it starts to weaken randomly?! Why?!" Reimu asked.
"To be honest, I don't know. The cause is unknown, I've been looking in to this situation but have found nothing. This is starting to become dangerous. If the barrier collapses and the border to Gensokyo comes in contact with the outside world, there will be nothing but udder chaos." Yukari said. The dreaded feeling only grew and the tension was thick. Reimu swallowed nervously and thought of the chaos.
"So there's nothing we can do to prevent it?" Reimu asked, she kept a calm facade despite all the nervousness she had.
"The answer is unknown for now. It's best to be wary and keep a sharp eye." Yukari said. She summoned one of her portals and reached her hand in, from it she pulled out a bottle of sake.
"Hm not a bad choice in sake...be careful." She said and with those words she disappeared through the portal leaving Reimu alone.
She walked back to the shrine to find Marisa and Suika passed out. Many of them were still there. Only Remilia, Patchouli, Sanae, Youmu, Aya, Marisa, Suika, and Alice remained.
Reimu popped a vein, "What the hell this wasn't a sleepover." She said irritably. She just sighed and accepted it. She went into another room and prepared a futon for herself. She plopped down exhausted and drifted off to bed.

The next morning Reimu woke up from a sudden rumble and bright light. Her eyes snapped open, "What the-?!" She exclaimed. She grabbed her purification rod and ran outside past the others who were startled from the sudden noises. All except Suika who slept like a log due to the large amount of alcohol. They all followed Reimu who got into a battle stance.
"I sense something odd here." Sanae said and got her gohei in alert. The others agreed, something seemed off and very wrong.
'This is the same feeling I had yesterday.' Reimu thought.
They all observed the surrounding until something flashing caught Aya's attention.
"Oh? What's that?" She asked and pointed to the direction. There stood a minuscule floating orb, that looked a lot like Reimu's yin-yang orbs.
"I don't know." Reimu said and cautiously approached it. She went out to touch it until glared a bright light. Reimu yelped and shielded her eyes. The light grew bigger until it consumed the whole group, swallowing them until there was no trace left.
A/N: I didn't think I would start another OPM fanfic. But here I am with two of my favorite series creating a crossover. Hehe oh god, but seriously I like these two series and a crossover seemed interesting.
