«NARRATION»
Lisa let out a low, frustrated groan as she rolled her eyes for the umpteenth time of the day. She had been craving for Taehyung's attention all day long, but her boyfriend seemed to ignore all her pleas. His eyes were glued to the television screen as he was engrossed in playing video games with his friends.
"Ha, I won again Jiminie!" He spoke through the mic attached to his headset, winning the thirteenth game of the day.
Lisa at first chose to convince herself that Taehyung would eventually get exhausted and take a break. But that wasn't the scenario, much to her misfortune. She had been craving for his affection for days now; but the idea of quarantine begged to differ. There were so many things Lisa had actively suggested they could do as a couple although none of the activities seemed to interest him at all. Thus the two were left all by themselves in this apartment, living as strangers in a home they collectively called theirs.
The idea seemed to be rather suffocating now as Lisa thought.
"I wish I was the video game..." she whispered to herself as she walked away to finish the day's chores.
"Tae!" Lisa voiced from the kitchen counter only to get an inaudible response. She stared in glory at Taehyung's favourite strawberry pastry he had been craving to eat ever since they were home quarantined. Although Lisa usually made a mess in a kitchen, she was proud of finally having succeeded in baking for him. But instead of any acknowledgement she was met by a cold silence.
"Tae, are you coming over?"
"Just a minute!" He repeated for the thousandth time, as Lisa could feel her patience dwindled to a trickle; she was agitated over the strange gaming addiction he had developed for the past weeks and the ignorance was unbearable beyond this point.
Lisa stomped off towards their shared bedroom when she unknowingly tripped over the wire, which also resulted in accidentally plugging off the gaming console.
"Ahh!" Lisa whimpered as she made contact with the floor followed by a gasp from the other end of the room. "Oh God, come on!!" It was from Taehyung, who immediately darted to his head in her direction. "Lisa why did you have—" he was about to whine as his padded footsteps neared her, coming to an abrupt end when he saw her lying down.
"Aigoo..." Taehyung kneeled beside her, concern ranging in his voice. "Why are you lying here? Don't tell me you really fell from the bed! No wait, did you hurt yourself from the edge?—" he blasted her with a number of random questions, moving his hands towards her aching knee as Lisa jerked them off.
"I'm alright—" Lisa coldly replied, trying to get up by herself but failed in her hopeless attempt and fell onto Taehyung's arms.
"Let me help you babe." He nudged her elbow and writhed under his grasp. Taehyung only proved to be stronger, as he picked her up in one go and comfortably landed her on the bed despite her repeated whines.
"I'm trying to help you, stay still babe." Taehyung rummaged through the drawers to find an ointment as Lisa grumbled a few curses under her breath.
"Why are you ignoring me like that?" He frowned, noticing the way Lisa had already folded her arms and looked the other way.
"So now its me who's ignoring you! Hmmph."
He doesn't have a slight idea about any of this? Which world is he living in?
"Baby turn around please." He cooed, his hand placed gently against her thigh. She slowly twisted her torso to face him, his eyes focused on the slight abrasion on her knee. Blowing over the wounded area he rubbed smooth circles to apply the ointment and Lisa couldn't help but feel guilty for her rude behaviour from a while ago.
But he deserved it anyway; because he had almost forgotten all the possible ways Lisa had tried to approach him, as if ignoring her had become his newfound habit. Lisa wished she could just hate him forever, but the idea seemed vague and almost impossible before his caring side.
Lisa sucked up the little anger that was left, now reflecting in form of tears that were on the brink of her eyes. "Do you realise that you literally ignore me, Tae." She pouted, recounting all the futile efforts she had tried to garner his attention. Taehyung's eyes darted at the wall clock, instinctively realising how late he had been playing.
"It's already that late! I couldn't get hold of the time today—"
"No, I don't think that's just a matter for today. It has become your new habit, I bet you love your video games more than me."
"Yahhh, how can you even say that Lisa! You are the most precious thing I love in this world." Lisa could feel his muffled voice when he spread his ams around her and pulled her into his warm embrace.
"I'm so sorry babe, I love you so so much. I can't see your tear up because of my...my stupidity." He frowned upon a concern, pretending to cry.
"I should be the one to cry, because I have a boyfriend who takes my existence for granted." She mumbled against his chest as he pecked her forehead.
"That's not true. I mean, at least you know I'm not cheating on you." He cracked a joke as Lisa tried to pull away from him.
"Okay, fine, sorry! I won't joke again! Please forgive me!!"
"You better not think of cheating on me, Kim Taehyung, or I swear I won't ever let you trespass near me again. Don't ask for forgiveness after that. And oh well, none of this validates the fact that you ever loved me. Because all I see is your concern of playing games."
Taehyung suddenly pulled his arms away from her, raising a suspicious brow at her. "So you really think I don't love you anymore?"
"Yes." She nodded in affirmation before sticking her tongue out. "A hundred percent."
"Hmm..." He pretended to give a deep thought before a mysterious grin formed on his lips. He leaned close and immediately kissed her, nibbling on her lower lip, much to her surprise. Lisa nearly whined at the loss of contact when Taehyung pulled away from their kiss.
"What is going on in your mind—" Lisa questioned as he got up from the edge of the bed he was earlier seated at.
He merely smirked, a haze of lust consumed in his eyes.
"Then how about I show you how much I love you?"
