Zoey is from Dallas Texas. Her life hasn't been a happy one. It started when her mother died of cancer and left behind two daughters and a husband.

When her mom died, her father had started drinking alcohol in an attempt to ease his pain and make it leave. Something that many people do to try to numb themselves from grief after a loved one dies.

Whenever her father got drunk, he got physically violent. There were times where he would hit her and her sister Amanda out of spite and a drunken state. This continued to happen until her sister had enough sense to get both her and her sister out of there. And so Amanda had uprooted the both of them and moved to Mission Creek. A place where Zoey would be able to be in a safe environment and go to school.

When she first got there, from Dallas to Mission Creek, it was a big adjustment for her. She was afraid to talk to anyone, and she would sit at lunch by herself too afraid to go up to a table with people to talk.

One day, Bree Davenport had come over to her as she sat alone and introduced herself. Although at this time she was scared, Bree seemed to her to be a nice person and she sat with her at lunch everyday.

The next week, Bree had introduced her brothers Adam, Chase and Leo to her. Bree had gotten to know her more before she invited her friends to meet her.

She, had taken a liking to Chase. The youngest brother, and the two of them talked a lot and he helped her with math as he tutored her at his house.

From then on, she was friends with the Davenports and when they told her about their bionic secret, she had promised to keep it secret and she had eventually gained her own. Although later on.

During the end of season 2, Zoey and Chase had confessed their feelings to each other and were a couple even when he and Bree joined the Elite Force.
