Jasper Monroe is your usual, cliché gay kid. His family doesn't accept him, and he's bullied in school by many. Underneath his relatively tough and fenced exterior, he just a sad teenage boy looking for happiness and love in his life. 

Ryder Evans isn't happy with his life. Sure, he's got the popularity, money, and the almost perfect family, but he isn't happy with what he makes himself do. Truthfully he's a coward - even he'll admit that. He doesn't feel as though he's good enough to be the Alpha of Shadow Hill - but he'd never admit it. He wants himself to be real; not some fake coward.

But that's a hard thing to do - especially when he's mates with the human gay kid he bullies and with the constant threat of Rogue invasions.
