Summary: 

"As soon as I opened the door of the car, something invisible hit me. I couldn't come to what nor understand what it was. It smelled like wood and something sweet. Was there a cherry tree near us? I looked around, searching for any flowery tree but found none. The place was surrounded by green and gray and I stumbled on my feet. I was desperate, my heart was pounding fast and hard.I swallowed hard, only to find my mouth tasting the scent my body was now craving. I was not aware that I had already launched myself towards the far location.

The closer I get to her the more I need her in my arms. My skin tingles with the need to touch her, feel her. As I get close I can see my mate, who is still unknown to me, has fallen asleep on the blanket underneath her, tear streaks on her face, and the scent of sweet wine on her breath. I look to the gravestone to see the name of a woman, she must have been someone special to my mate for her to have exhausted herself in tears.

My wolf rises to the surface, his need for her escalates as it begins to rain and he worries for her health, driven by the desire to protect her, to keep her safe and sound with us. Without thinking I move forward and wrap the blankets around her, lifting her in my arms, my wolf and my whole body finally feel at peace as I carry her in my arms to my car. I try not to further open the wounds already inflicted on my body from a fight with the devil of my kind. 

I put her in the back seat of my car and smile as she becomes restless trying to keep me with her, unknowingly. I need to take her to where she is safe, to her new home, with me. I just hope she won't scare and decide to leave me, it has been too long for me to go without her. My mate, my love." Caleb

My Opinion on the Story:

I absolutely LOVED this book!!!! Caleb's character along with Meadow's was so nice. I normally don't like reading werewolf with human books, but this one was different. It wasn't cliche, nor was it what you would think it is. The human girl isn't "weak" nor does she fall right at the man's foot. Caleb wasn't crazy possessive as you would see in other books. He was peaceful, calm and had a really nice personality that any girl would swoon over. How the author wrote this book so nicely, I wouldn't know nor would I understand. Her writing style has me bewildered. It is simple yet so detailed at the same time. ANd this book is defintie, DEFINITELY worth anybody's time. Loved the book so much!! <3 <3 xoxo
