4- Blurb [A glimpse of your book]

What is a blurb?

A blurb is a short description or summary of a book. It reveals what the story will be about and leaves an impression of ideas and reflections to the reader. If your blurb is exciting and catchy, then it will receive attention. You don't want your blurb to reveal too much, and you don't want it to be too long either.

How to write a blurb?

Writing a blurb is not that arduous. It is just a summary of what your story will be about and, you can always write a quote or dialogue from your book. One to two lines are alright for this but, more than that can ruin it. If you have planned how your plot will be, describing some scenes or ideas kindles the reader.

A blurb should range from 100-250 words, or you can go further than that. Make sure to leave the dilemma and ask a couple of rhetorical questions related to the storyline, especially towards the end.

What is a description?

A description is a spoken or written account of a person, object, or event. It means you are describing either someone, something, or somewhere using literary and language techniques. It helps someone to understand what you are saying by visualizing so they can imagine it. When you are describing, you must be detailed. So that way, the audience will enjoy your creativity.

Hope it could help you.
