The Straw Hats had climbed on board the shark Megalo and were now on their way up to the Ryugu Palace, with the king Neptune leading the way merrily chanting jamon.

"What is that chant old man? It sounds so dumb" Luffy said making Pappagu freak and run over to the rubber man.

"No that's rude! Straw, you bastard! Terrifying! You're terrifying!" the starfish yelled at him.

"That shark, Megalo, is a pet that my daughter loves very much-jamon, she kept crying hysterically saying "Megalo is not coming back" i wasn't aware he was attacked by the Kraken, thank you for saving him from danger-jamon" Neptune said.

"We didn't mean to but i'm glad that you're okay" Luffy told the shark.

"So he's the Mermaid Princess's pet?" Pappagu said.

"Oh, Pappagu-san? If i'm correct you said you're the best friend of the Mermaid Princess" Brook said but the starfish shushed him.

"Oh so that was a lie, anyway i feel sorry for Sanji-san, he wanted to see the Mermaid Princess more than anybody" the skeletal man said.

"Even if he did somehow get to see her i fear it just might kill him" Nicole said worried about the chef, though she was still even more worried about Zoro.

"I guess he was just born to be unlucky, but a princess who has a shark as a pet must be" Usopp trailed off with a wild thought of what the princess might be like.

"That doesn't mean anything, i'd totally have a pet shark if i could" Nicole said.

"My point exactly" Usopp muttered with a sweatdrop before freezing up as Nicole lightly glared at him "And what's that supposed to mean?" she asked.

"Nothing!" Usopp squeaked.

"That's what i thought" Nicole huffed.

"I-is it okay for us to go to the Ryugu Palace?" Camie asked uncertainly.

Usopp walked over to the mermaid "He said "Your friends can come-jamon" so it should be okay" he said trying to cheer her up.

"Normally you're not allowed right? Then why don't you just enjoy it?" Nami asked.

"I sent out my sons first but they haven't come back, that's why i came, because i can't wait to see the food at the banquet so i want to start already-jamon" Neptune said drooling in anticipation of the feast.

"I can't wait either!" Luffy agreed also drooling.

"Hey you two, quit drooling!" Nami yelled at them.

"Oh i almost forgot, i already invited one of your friends, he is a swordsman, he started drinking on his own before the banquet, it's more fun to have a banquet with everybody, he is so selfish, I think his name was Zori" the king said.

"It's Zoro!" Nami and Usopp corrected before Nicole burst out howling in laughter.

"Old man, you're hilarious!" she said as she calmed down from laughing.

"My soldiers will find the rest of your friends and bring them to the palace so don't worry-jamon" Neptune said.

"Nami, don't you know where they went?" Luffy asked.

"Franky said he wanted to look for his master Tom's relatives and Robin said something about important pieces of history, so we got separated again, you didn't have any problems either, did you?" Nami asked.

"No, well there was a little one" Usopp trailed off.

"Sanji's pervyness mostly" Nicole added.

"I see, hey by the way grandpa, this place is at ten thousand meters below sea level so why is there light around this island?" Nami asked turning to the king.

"The island itself doesn't provide any light, this is the only place in the deep sea that has light so Fish-Men started living here a long time ago and that was the beginning of Fish-Man island, there are the roots of a giant tree called the Sun Tree Eve that transfers sunlight from the surface to the deep sea" Neptune explained.

"Transfers sunlight? You mean there's a tree with shining roots more than ten thousand meters long?" Nami asked.

"Yes, indeed, scientist try to make some sense out of it but it's a mystical tree that transfers sunlight to its roots-jamon, and its respiration supplies air to the sea floor as well" Neptune said.

"It's like the boss of the Hustle Muscle Mangrove at Sabaody?" Usopp asked.

"Seems like so" Nicole said.

"Hairy old man, i'm hungry" Luffy said.

"We'll be there soon" Neptune said as they approached another big bubble floating just above Fish-Man island, only it seemed to be filled with water.

"It's huge!" Luffy exclaimed in awe.

"That's the entrance-jamon" Neptune said as they got closer to a construction at the top of the bubble, the king got closer to it and rang a doorbell.

"Yes?" a voice asked over the intercom.

"It's me-jamon" Neptune said.

"I-it must be K-King-sama, i'll put down the gateway now!" the voice said and a bubble bridge connected the two big bubbles.

"Oh yeah, take this" Neptune said hanging a small coral to the straw hats.

"What's this?" Luffy asked.

"It's a Bubbly Coral, you can make a bubble easily with it" Camie explained.

"Most of the palace is filled with sea water, you need a good bubble-jamon" Neptune told them.

Luffy pressed the top of the tiny pink coral and it started blowing a bubble that merged with the one Nami had created from the coral in her hand covering the Straw Hats in one bigger bubble.

"This is handy!" Usopp said.

"Alright let's go" Neptune said leading the way into the bubble tube that let out at the front of the palace.

"Cool! Awesome!" Luffy exclaimed.

"Pappagu-san's house is nothing compared to this" Brook said.

"Don't compare!" the starfish yelled at the skeletal man.

"What a beautiful palace" Nami said.

"Yeah" Nicole said nodding in agreement as they ascended the stairs and the gate was opened to them, the bubble was moved to the palace floor and the straw hats followed inside it.

"This palace looks fun!" Luffy exclaimed.

"It's my palace-jamon, stay as long as you like" Neptune said.

"Boy, you did it again?! You must learn your place! You went out of the palace on your own again! It's inexcusable to go down to the lower world without guards!" a seahorse merman scolded the king.

"Can't take it" a catfish merman lamented.

"It won't happen again-jamon" Neptune said dejectedly.

"It'll be too late once something happens! Don't you know the situation of this country right now?!" the seahorse merman continued his scolding.

"Let's have the banquet already!" Luffy whined after his stomach growled before he caught the scent of something delicious and ran off following the scent.

Nicole noticed him leaving but said nothing about it or tried stopping him.

"By the way i brought the people who saved Megalo when he got attacked by the Kraken-jamon, now welcome our guest! Uh where's the princess? What is princess Shirahoshi doing?" Neptune asked his two ministers.

"Well King-sama, it happened again a few minutes ago, an axe came flying through but thankfully the door stopped it" the seahorse merman explained.

"What?! You have to guard the princess to keep her calm! Idiots!" now Neptune was the one scolding the ministers.

"If you go missing when something like that is happening, can't you see that it'd make everyone in the palace worry king?! In the first place?!" the seahorse merman yelled back.

"It really won't happen again-jamon" the king said.

"And i'm very sorry that you just brought the guest here personally but there's a serious matter" the seahorse merman said.

"Yes prince Fukaboshi just called in and i really can't take it" the catfish merman said.

"Fukaboshi did? What was it about?" Neptune asked.

"As a matter of fact" The catfish merman trailed off.

"Aren't they gonna entertain us yet?" Brook asked.

"Seems they've forgotten all about us" Nicole said.

"Oh? Where did Luffy go?" Nami asked only now noticing the rubber man had left, bringing the others attention to the fact.

"He was here a couple minutes ago, that fool can't stay still even for a minute" Usopp complained.

"He can't just wander around the holy palace of the Sea God!" Pappagu fretted.

"He's gonna do whatever he wants" Nicole shrugged with a sigh.

Unbeknownst to any of them right at that moment Luffy had met the mermaid princess.
