"How deeply are we submerged now?" Luffy asked looking up.

"It's getting darker and darker" Usopp said also looking up and backed up the stairs as Nicole came over to sit next to Zoro.

"We went through the euphotic zone and we're at the bottom of the twilight zone, it must be more than a thousand meters below" Franky said eating lunch with his smaller hand holding the chopsticks.

"It's really quiet, it feels different from submersibles, it feels like flying in the sky" Robin said.

"The sky huh? I have to start using what i studied on Weatheria for two years" Nami said more to herself.

"Whale! There's a whale!" Chopper called as a huge white whale swam by the ship.

"Laboon! Laboon!" Brook called.

"No that's old man Whitebeard!" Luffy grinned.

"Hey hey, there's no time to relax and watch whales, 70% will sink! 70%! I can't just sit around, i can't believe we have less than a 50% chance to get to Fish-Man island, i don't see any creatures or Sea Kings or obstacles that look dangerous yet" Usopp said looking around through his binoculars.

"Oi, who's the lookout here?" Nicole asked slightly irritated as she lightly glared at him.

Usopp laughed sheepishly "Sorry, sorry" he said handing her the binoculars, she took them though she didn't need them and turned to look behind them and spotting a ship.

"Hey guys! There's a ship coming in from behind!" Nicole called.

"What?" Sanji asked, a smaller burst of bleeding spurting from his nose as he and the others turned to their designated lookout.

"A ship?" Luffy asked.

"Yeah, it's coming in for an attack" Nicole said rather calmly and soon after the other ship rammed into them, shaking the Sunny around.

"It's a pirate ship!" Chopped said.

"Run!" Usopp yelled.

"Hard to port!" Franky called just as Sanji reached the wheel and spun it making the Sunny turn to the left.

"Go sea cow!" Coribou from the other ship called and the sea cow pulling their ship roared in reply.

"They're coming after us!" Brook exclaimed.

"That sounds so familiar" Nami noted referring to the sea cow's roar.

"They're so persistent" Zoro said.

"Should we fight?" Nicole asked as the ship rammed into them again.

"What do they want from us?" Luffy wondered as the ship kept ramming into the Sunny.

"Stop!" Chopper yelled sliding around on the floor.

"The bubble is gonna pop!" Usopp yelled.

"You're doing great sea cow!" Caribou called.

"Are they gonna come aboard?" Brook asked.

"Sea cow? Wait a minute that's" Nami trailed off running to the bow of the Sunny and taking a closer look.

"The bubbles are joined! Brother now is the chance" Coribou told his brother/co captain Caribou.

"Alright should we do it?" Caribou asked his crew.

"Yes!" they echoed.

"Hey Momoo! You're Momoo of the Arlong pirates aren't you? Do you remember me? I'm Nami! I was there at Arlong Park!" she called as the sea cow turned to her, the sea cow seemed to recognise her.

"Hm? Hey Luffy, doesn't he look familiar?" Sanji asked.

"Yeah?" Luffy asked too taking a look over the stairs leading to the bow of the ship.

The sea cow Momoo definitely remembered them at least, he remembered how Sanji had kicked him and how Luffy had punched him.

Just as Caribou boarded the Sunny and the rest of his crew was about to follow Momoo swam off scared of Luffy and Sanji.

"Alright by way of greeting, fire the gatling gun!" Caribou called approaching the Straw hats that were just calmly standing there.

"Kill all the Straw Hats and" Caribou trailed off when silence answered him back and turned to see his ship had left him behind.

Franky grabbed Caribou and turned to toss him overboard.

"No! Don't throw me out into the water! That's something you shouldn't do! You have to value people's lives! The gods, the gods are watching over you! Don't you think so?" Caribou yelled pleading for his life.

Franky slammed him down "You're being inconsistent! Weren't you gonna fire a gatling gun and kill us all?" the cyborg asked.

"No that was just, that was just a play on words" Caribou said trying to defend himself.

"That wasn't playing" Sanji said walking over.

"Who are you? You must be the captain of the ship" Zoro said also walking over.

"Some captain, his crew left him all alone and at the mercy of an enemy" Nicole said also having walked over and looking at Caribou.

"Yes yes! That's right I'm not a captain! I'm just, i was forced to be a slave for them! Oh i'm sick of being on that ship!" Caribou said jumping to the first excuse he could think of.

"He's making ridiculous excuses" Usopp said.

"Oh yeah! This is great, can i stay on this ship for a little while? Please?" Caribou asked bowing his head.

"Well he is kind of pathetic" Chopper said.

"No way! He just made it up!" Usopp yelled at the reindeer.

"That's not why he's pathetic" Nicole said.

"Hey where did you find the Sea Cow who was drawing your ship?" Nami asked coming down to the lawn from the bow of the ship.

"Oh, here is mmm Cutie-san! You're the Cat Burglar" Caribou said leering at Nami.

"Stop looking at our navigator like that!" Sanji yelled kicking Caribou "Nami-san, you're safe" he trailed off before shooting off with another nosebleed fountain.

"That's getting to be a pain!" Usopp yelled.

"I just caught that sea monster somewhere, experienced people have those animals pull their ship" Caribou explained as Sanji came flying back down and landed with a crash.

"What?! Is that so?" Luffy asked with a small laugh before going over to the side of the ship and looking out into the sea as Zoro tied up Caribou.

"I wanna find a sea monster" Luffy said "Nicole help me look" he whined "Sure" Nicole said and joined him at the ships railing.

"Hey Luffy, what are you up to?" Nami asked.

"It's obvious that he's looking for a sea monster to pull the ship" Nicole said also looking out into the sea.

Luffy grew excited seeing something but then Nicole said "It's just a turtle, it's too small" bumming out the rubber man.

"Come on" Nami sighed.

"Let's start his rehabilitation with some less stimulating pictures" Chopper said while tending to Sanji with Brook at the ready with some pictures of Nami.

"Hey Nami, the direction we're heading is slightly off from where the Log Pose is pointing" Usopp pointed out drawing Luffy's attention.

"Yeah, that's fine, the right course should be south west of where it's pointing" Nami said.

"It's faster to go straight, why should we do that?" Luffy asked going over to the navigator, Nicole stayed by the ships railing doing what a lookout does and look out.

"If you go straight you'd be taken away by the sea current and get struck by an undersea mountain or volcano" Nami said.

"What? Volcano! It's scary to be in the water!" Chopper yelled.

"But i thought the sea currents in the Grand Line were volatile, is there any stable current?" Usopp asked as Nami put on a coat.

"Yes, just one" Nami simply said.

"This is good, stay calm" Zoro said finishing tying up Caribou.

"Everyone! It's gonna get colder from here on out so wear a coat or something!" Nami called to everyone, indeed it was getting chillier the deeper they descended.

"Yes it's getting chilly, i can feel it on my skin, oh but i don't" Brook's joke was cut off by Chopper saying "You're a skeleton, you don't have skin" depressing the skeletal man.

"Chopper-san, you can't do that, you can't steal my line" Brook said.

"Are we going somewhere cold? Not the deep sea?" Zoro asked.

"Dummy, you're lucky you're so damn hot, heat rises so the deeper we're going the colder it's going to get" Nicole said walking over to her boyfriend and lightly bonking him on the head.

"That so?" Zoro asked rubbing his head with a smirk "Well your smarts is making it hotter so i can't tell if it's cold" he said.

Nicole blushed and smirked back "Maybe you're too hot, go jump in the sea and cool down" she said.

"You both should go take a dive then" Usopp said watching the couple flirt with a sweatdrop, those two had gotten truly shameless since two years ago, if they had kept going he had no doubt they would have probably be boning.

Speaking of bones "The temperature isn't the only difference" the talking pile of bones Brook said, still depressed over his stolen joke.

"You're still depressed?!" Usopp asked in shock.

"In the deep layer of the sea, there are giant currents called deep currents that you don't get to see very often, those currents flow totally independently from surface currents" Brook said a handy dandy poster in his hand for visual aid.

"There are currents under currents? You know so many things" Usopp said in awe cheering up Brook.

"It's because i'm really old" Brook laughed.

"All currents are connected, one current flows eastward and the other one flows westward, they could also flow upward or downward, it's like a giant dragon" Franky said.

"Deep currents flow really slowly, once they flow to the deep sea it takes two thousand years until they flow upward to the surface" Brook said.

"Two thousand years?!" Luffy, Chopper and Usopp all asked in synch.

"Yes, that's why there are a number of myths about the dark and undiscovered deep currents, monsters! Curses! Spirits of the dead!" Brook said.

"What?! There are ghost in the deep sea?!" Chopper yelled, utterly scared.

"Huh? Really? I'm scared!" Brook said.

Nicole sweatdropped at the skeletal man "You're the one that told about them in the first place" she said.

"It's exciting!" Luffy grinned.

"Ghosts, i don't know about that but we're gonna get on a downward flow, that's how we get to the deep sea" Nami said.

"Deep layer" Luffy said leaning on the railing.

"Surface" Zoro muttered on the railing next to him.

"Downward flow" Usopp added on.

"Submerge" Chopper said.

"Twang twang" Brook finished off.

The boys all got tea from somewhere and said in synch "So there are mystery currents"

"You guys didn't understand a bit did you?!" Nami yelled.

Nicole laughed along with Brook "You wanna sing Nami-san?" the skeletal man asked.

"Shut up" Nami replied.

"How about you Nicole-san?" Brook asked turning to her.

"Maybe later" Nicole shrugged "We're getting closer to the downward flow" she said just as Robin called that she could see it.

"Yeah?" Nami called back and went to check.

"The mystery current?!" Luffy asked as he and the others followed along.

"That's so cool" Franky said from the ships wheel.

"What is that?" Sanji asked dragging himself over with the blood bags he was still attached to.

"So that's the downward current" Zoro said.

"It's huge!" Nicole commented in awe.

"The downward flow, plume!" Nami said.

"How cool!" Luffy said from the bow of the Sunny.

"It's like a massive waterfall in the sea!" Usopp exclaimed.

"Interesting! The sea is "falling" far below, at an extraordinary speed!" Luffy also exclaimed.

"What a spectacular stream! I wonder how deep it is" Robin wondered outloud.

"It's far greater than i had heard" Brook said.

"I can't see the bottom! It's completely dark! We're dead! With that speed we're gonna be slammed into the bottom and die!" Usopp yelled.

"Is it really okay to go with the flow?" Nami asked turning to Franky.

"Don't worry about the ship, Sunny is the strongest ship built from the treasure tree Adam" Franky assured her.

"Alright! Advance!" Luffy called excitedly.
