It can be hard to find book clubs that fit your schedule, or reading preferences so I decided to make one that's basically like doing a read for read/ comment for comment. Vote for vote has been banned for some reason, but if you vote for your partners book they are more likely to vote for your's. There will be rules, but you get to choose what you read and the deadlines aren't as strict.

There will be no weekly or monthly commitments, but the more active you are the more reads, votes, comments and bonuses you will receive.

Rules
~ do not be rude to the leader of this book club, or any of the members

~ if someone denies your request, move on to another book don't try to pressure them into it or ask why they won't read your book, just look for another book. However if someone denies your request but you really want to read their book in the book club you can offer to a read for follow, you read and comment on their book and they follow you in return.

~ normally I have strict PG through mild PG13 rules in my book clubs and contests, but since no one is required to read any of the books here I will accept all books. But you must give warnings of all mature or inappropriate content in the forms, even if your book is not rated mature. Movie ratings are easy to understand so that's what we will be using.

~ you can enter as many books as you want

~ all lengths of books are welcome

~open to all genres

~commenting rules vary depending upon what each user wants from this book club, grammar advice, plot hole fixes or just an overall honest review, or perhaps they just want to have a fun conversation in the comments about their book. Please specify in the forms

~ mark all comments with #bookswap and tag me @LadyArwenEvenStar either at the end of your comments or as a reply so that I will be notified. I don't have time to scroll through books and look through comments to make sure that everyone is doing what they're supposed to do. If you don't do this I won't know that you've finished your request.

~ please comment finished or done somewhere in this book when you have completed the agreed amount of chapters and comments

~ this will be your deadline for completing a request: 1 week per chapter you agreed to read, if you agree to read 4 chapters you have a month. You can either read 1 chapter per week or if you're busy just read them all in the last week. As soon as you finish a request you can ask another member, or make an extension with the current book you are reading. There are no limits to requests in a month as long as you complete all of them.

~please reply to all requests as soon as you are able. Even if the answer is no.
You do not have to make an excuse or explain why you don't want to do the request just say no or denied and let me know if anyone tries to pressure you into a request.

~ don't ask for requests until you've filled out a form and been accepted.

~ don't begin a request until your partner has agreed

~ you are not allowed to ask someone to read 2 chapters of your book, while you read 1 of theirs unless it is because you have short chapters and they have long ones. Average word count per chapter of each book will be listed, so please make fair swaps when it comes to length. If someone has chapters that are an average of 1000 words, while your chapters are an average of 3000, read 3 chapters of their book for every 1 they read of yours.

How it works

~ there will be a chapter listing all members and their reading presences.

~ there will be a chapter for each genre, where all entered books of that genre will be located along with descriptions and ratings. Find a book that you want to read and tag the author in an inline comment. There will be request forms in each chapter for reference, you don't have to it in the same order but you must include all of this information:

Tag the author (don't forget the @ so that they will be notified):
Title of the book you would like to read:
Number of chapters you would like to swap:
Number of comments you want to give and receive on each chapter:

Example form:
@user I would like to read 5 chapters of book title in exchange for 5 of mine. I was hoping we could do 3 comments per chapter.

Always be willing to negotiate the number of chapters and comments with you partners, try meeting in the middle. If you can't come to an agreement either close the request or contact me (in comments or private message) to settle the issue

~ once your partner has agreed begin completing your request

~ before sending a request make sure that the member is accepting requests as they may already have another active requests. Example below will be in the members chapter:

Please let me know if you need a break and can't take requests so that I can mark it.

Reader only members

If you want to become a member but you don't have any books you have options:

~ Read & comment for follow (you read and comment on another member's entire book in exchange for a follow. You must ask them to agree to this and they are not obligated to follow you until you have finished their book. If they fail to follow you after you have finished contact me and I will give them a reminder. If they unfollow shortly after, contact me and I will give them a warning. If they fail to refollow you they will be permanently banned from this book club.
Be sure to ask the author what kind of comments and how many per chapter they expect from you.
The minimum is 1 comment per chapter or a paragraph review of the entire book.

~ you can also scroll through the books, find one you want to read then comment the title and chapter so that I'll know that you're reading it. Then read the book and follow the commenting rules (you will only be required 1 comment per chapter if you choose this option)
Basically it will be like any other book club, only you get to read whichever book you want!

Note!!!! All reads on all formats of the book club will give you points !!!
