First Impression: I really like the title! It reminds me of Christina Perri's song "Human" :)

This is a really well-written story! I really like the story plot, even though I'm not familiar with the Matrix. One of my favorite things were Kate's hilarious comments to everything. Her inner thoughts told me a lot about her personality and character. I also like how she's confused, so we as the reader follow her journey with her, and we learn everything with her. It's almost as if we are Kate, or we are there with Kate, watching her through this journey. You have great descriptions, but it wouldn't hurt to have a little more! Also, when you described Kate trying to hold Neo's hand it felt like I was Kate, and I felt that I was the one who was tense and trying desperately to hold his hand. One of the best parts of this story is that you are amazing at conveying the emotions of Kate. I can actually feel the heartbreak when Kate was watching Neo and Trinity interact. However, one thing I'm concerned with is that Kate falls in love with Neo really quickly. Literally 2 weeks after she meets him, she realizes she is in love with him. Is this realistic? I don't know, maybe some people fall in love fast, but I just felt that it was kind of unrealistic for her to just fall head over heels. Also, one thing I would suggest is to show us how important Kate's mom is her in the beginning by maybe having an interaction between the two of them. This will really help make the situation where her mom is in danger more heartbreaking and we will be able to relate with Kate more. Right now, I don't know how strong the relationship between Kate and her mom is, and we only got that one little snippet of their interaction when Neo and Kate went to visit her. By showing who the mom is, and giving us insight on her character will help us feel how scared and helpless Kate feels. Overall, this is really great work!
