First Impression: Love that it is a collection of short stories :) 

You have a great writing style! I love how everything flow very nicely, and I can understand what is going on throughout. Since you have asked me to just read "To Win A War," this will be fairly short. You have great details and descriptions of every image that happens during the story, which is great, because it makes the reader feel like they are there, and the reader can imagine everything in their head. I loved the kind of eerie and chilling feel I got when I read this. The woman sitting there, lost after the death of her husband. One suggestion I would give you is to have more character description. Show us more about her personality, or give us more information about how she was when her husband was alive, and contrast that with how she is now. It will make the death of her husband more vivid. Overall, amazing job on this story!
