REVIEW :
1. Cover, Title, Summary (9/10)
Cover is very well made and eye catching. The image colors and contrast, are good. I think the image contains Valmond's father's crest (I am guessing as I couldn't figure out what exactly is there in the image, a sword or something else with the symbol on it). But whatever it is, it adds to the storyline. The sad part is after reading the 5 chapters of the book when I looked at the cover image again, I found it quite enticing and inviting to flip pages of the story. But before reading the book, the cover seemed somewhat off putting (that is only my opinion).
Title is good and supports the storyline of the mythical creature Valmond and his soulmate's interactions. Regardless I don't know what are the three degrees of obsession, with respect to the story. The title's font type, size and formatting is good on the book cover. However, the font of the Author's name can be increased in size as it's not very clearly visible.
Summary is very appealing for readers -not very long, not very short, and still precisely listing everything that pulls a reader in to explore the mystery. The explanation of Archive in the summary is something that makes a reader wonder about the fantasy world the author has created.
2. Images/photos etc., audio, video, GIFs- Graphics (2/10)
Apart from the cover image, no graphics are used.
Including graphics in a fantasy novel isn't easy as they need a lot of effort and I don't particularly judge any book based on graphics. But, it sure does give an extra effect on readers (if used moderately and relevantly).
3. Grammar, Spelling, vocabulary (9/10).
I must say the author has done an excellent job with the grammar and spelling. The vocabulary too is really great, I enjoyed it. It may not be the case with the majority of readers on Wattpad since they need a simpler vocabulary but toning it down would make the book's effect poor. I would suggest to go on with your choice of words and narration. It's enjoyable.
Spelling mistakes- couldn't find any, those which were present were mostly typos.
Grammar: A few mistakes here and there, otherwise the flow of writing is very good.
Word mistakes - couldn't spot any, except some typos, I have indicated a few in inline comments.
Sentence formation mistakes are present. At places, where the sentence must have been one, a period separating them making two sentences, felt awkward and unrelated.
4. Literary elements: plot, setting, characterization, conflicts, POVs, mood, tone (9/10)
The plot is very interesting for a fantasy story with the many supernatural/preternatural creatures in a future fantasy world which is technically much advanced than today's world.
Settings (meaning living environment, clothing, conversation styles, food, transportation means, etc.) are taken into account well, but require more attention in furnishing small details, at some points, in the book.
Character development is very good and the characters' arcs are very well developed. All the characters thoughts and feelings are felt by readers. The reader can imagine what the characters would do in a situation since they are very well painted by the author.
The conflicts of the story are interesting and in sync with the story pace and twists. Every conflict is very naturally woven into the story narration and none feels out of place.
The book is written in third person POV and is expressed very well.
Moods (emotions aroused in reader)- mysterious, fascinating, emotional. The readers can practically feel everything the characters are going through.
Tones (author's attitude)- mystical, intriguing, mythical.
The POV and tones are excellent and the author has managed grabbing the readers' attention.
5. Diction, writing style, pacing (9/10)
Diction means the choice of words (nouns, adjectives, adverbs etc) for the narrative, as per the genre and subject. Diction is a 'wow'.
Writing style is third person narrative and is very interesting. The author has utilized it fully to advantage. Very minute details too are very interestingly described.
Pacing is neither fast nor moderate, and the reader enjoys as the story progresses and the new twists unfold.
6. Allusion, epigraphs, euphemism, foreshadowing, metaphors/simile, imagery, other literary devices (9/10)
Foreshadowing is used in all chapters.
Author has used imagery very effectively.
Other devices used- metaphors, simile, personification.
I am amazed at how well the author used all the literary devices and blended them naturally with the characters and the flow of the story.
7. Structuring (10/10)
Text structuring-Starting and ending of chapters clearly presented in text. Paragraphs, dialogues are very well structured. Some paragraphs seemed longer than necessary, you may divide them into two, if you feel the need.
Prologue is very effectively written and goes with the story progress.
Book structuring-Chapters are numbered sequentially. It's easier for a reader to memorize the chapter number at which he/she left, to continue reading later.
8. Cliffhangers, twists/turns/incident presentation (10/10)
Cliffhangers are good and present in almost all chapters. The storyline is good. The readers feel liking for the characters and continuously wish to explore more about them.
The description about the abilities of Valmond and his brother is spell bounding- very vividly described. Especially I liked the place where they use their psychic abilities- it wasn't easy to portray one's ability to shift from human to ghost-like physical form; author did a brilliant job here. No character is left unattended even when new characters are introduced.
Twists and turns are not many but seem like a lot of information since the author has built a new, imaginary world which is oblivious to most readers (not like the world which includes mythological characters and their abilities which are slightly known to readers). The author has really done a good work by explaining and introducing the various elements one by one, keeping the readers intrigued simultaneously.
The presentation of all the twists, turns, dialogues etc is done effectively and interestingly.
9. Originality, creativity (9/10)
The story talks about the preternatural beings- mythical creatures, splicers, hunters etc. their abilities, their roles in the future technically advanced fantasy world and their motives. The story has many original elements and I really loved it.
Some things seem missing. Eg.- where does this world exists on Earth(country/place etc) and what are the living conditions of these magical beings- I mean, why do they still live in a cave, they can pretend themselves to be human and live among them; or will they get recognized by humans, but how? How can Valmond teleport?
The content is creatively presented and the author's writing style is lovely.

Reviewer's comments:
No exaggeration and no sugar coating. Honestly, I loved the story. The author has written it so intriguingly, I couldn't stop myself. Every scene is vivid and one can visualize it happening, every emotion can be felt. The author has truly followed the 'show not tell' approach. I don't really read the updates of many books that are not complete (as they are updated), but I would be waiting for updates on this one. I am glad that I came across this book.
I think this book has the potential to get published in future.
Reviewer's note (to readers) :
It is a fantasy story mythical creatures having different preternatural abilities. The fantasy world is also technologically advanced and it talks about the time in future. The intellectual mixing of preternatural as well as technically advanced society on Earth is really something that makes the reading worthwhile.
I will recommend this book for everyone, whether a reader or a writer.
ADVICE (to author):
The book is excellent and I don't think there is much advice needed from me. I already mentioned some suggestions above.
The next review will be 'The Burden of dreams', by themysticaldevil
