REVIEW:

"The Rumor" by Vatsal Gourisaria, is about the young protagonist Sam, who is a popular author. This story revolves around him; his childhood and his misdeeds. Sam, is a person who gets what he wishes by hook or crook. In the due course he destroys his life and love of his best friend. And he puts the lives of many of his classmates in trouble? How will he turn out to be in future? What will happen to his love? Will he be punished for his crimes or will he be taught a lesson for his misdeeds? What happens to his family, friends and love?

Narration - The author's narration is uncomplicated. The story begins with the marriage of Sam with his love Rachael and goes on with the flashback. Though the story was quite good and interesting, the continuity of the story was kind of tangled. In many a places I wasn't able to perceive what the author was trying to say and I had to re-read few chapters to understand the characters and the scenario.

Characterization – I felt each and every character's emotions in the story was just briefed and not much required details were given to the characters.

Title – The title seems to fit the story.

Cover – Design is neat and apt for the concept.

Blurb – Gives the readers an insight of the story. Well written.

Errors – There were few grammatical errors and typos.

Suggestions – The author should look into the flow and continuity of the story and also the narration can be a bit more expressive and coherent.

OVERALL (3/5):

A good story with nice concept.
