REVIEW:

"The Destiny" by Khyati Jain, is a short story consisting of 5 chapters. This story is written in the Protagonist Suhana's point of view. This story is about the couple Suhana and Rhean working in Auckland. Suhana falls in love with Rhean, her office colleague. She bonds with him initially as a friend and they develop mutual feelings for each other. When their love goes well, an unexpected party crasher Simran appears and their relationship falters. Will they overcome their misunderstanding? Will they end up together in life or will Rhean move on with Simran? How does Suhana cope up? "The Destiny" is all about the struggles in love and the magic of love.

Characterization – The three main characters of this story are Suhana, Rhean and Simran. The characters point of view are well written. But I found the importance of characters and their emotions to be lacking in few places. It could have been written in a better appealing manner.

Narration & Writing Style – The author's narration is in simple words that helps the readers connect to the story well. The beginning and the climax of the story is well penned. In most of the places I found the story monotonous. The narration could have been more descriptive and captivating. The moments shared between Rhean and Suhana could have been penned in a more lovely way. And the scenario where Suhana finds out about the true color of Simran, could have been elaborated a little. The story seemed to be a little rushed.

Errors – A few grammatical errors were found. Switching of tenses were noted in a few places.

Negative – Author's narration.

A lovely cliche story but lacking captivating narration.
