READ A LOT AND WRITE IN YOUR OWN STYLE

AUTHOR INTERVIEW

Vinoth Kumar is the author of a beautiful novel "Euphoric love" published by Blue Rose publishers. Let's know about him more in our interview.

Moving on to the interview,

Hello Vinoth, how was your day?

It was quite good. Hope you had a good day too.

Mine went well. Thank you.

Can you tell us about yourself?

I'm Vinoth Kumar Indirajit an IT professional from Tanjore, working in Chennai. I'm a traveler, music addict, talkative, an entrepreneur and a positive thinker.

Oh that's great. So do you write in Tamil too?

I've written in tamil in my school days but nowadays I am focusing only on english. I've written two short stories in tamil after which "Euphoric Love" is my first try as a novel.

So when did your writing journey begin?

From my 7th std I think. It was a fantasy story about a King. Mostly my friends and cousins used to read what I write. And after that, I wrote a proper short story named "aval" that was well received by my collegues, and it also got good response in Internet.

Where can we find your writings?

It is in my blog and wattpad

What genres do u prefer?

I love to write and read thriller and love stories

What are your thoughts about love?

It's a great feel and the most powerful weapon in the world... It makes wonders and makes someone a zero to 10 and 10 to 0... Mostly people say love gives pain.. But I say, expectations in love gives pain.

But to expect is human nature right? So what do u say about it?

Ya it's true... We give lots of love to someone and as human nature we expect some care in return.. But if we love someone truly and think their happiness like ours it should not give pain. Just like a mom's love to her children.

Looks like you have experienced it, have you?

Like everyone even I've crossed these things in my life but I've not found my girl yet.

Hahaha, lucky guy!

So I presume this story is inspired from real life incidents. Am I right?

Yeah, partly. It's an inspiration from real life incidents based on real characters and its exaggerated by adding fictional screenplay to make the narration interesting.

Your story brings back few memories of mine .. Can you share any best memory from your life?

There are a lot of moments... I can pinpoint to few moments like those days spent with my best friends and my story writing period. After the story's completion also I used to wonder how I was able to complete this novel and missed living with my characters.

Is there any particular incident that has touched your heart?

One diwali, with my friends, I spent time in children's home and conducted some activities. Seeing their happiness gave me a great feel. That really moved my heart. And from then, me along with my friends tried to help the needy whenever possible and we are planning something big... Will see how it goes..

Wow that's really amazing... All the best for it..

Tell us about your book "Euphoric love"

It's a feel good romantic suspense. This story is about the love of Ram and Deepa and about the hurdles they face in their lives and about how they overcome those. This story not only speaks about love, romance but also relationships, bondings. And it also has a good message for every individual and society about life and on how to make it a good one for us and others as well.

Isn't it a cliche story? Why did you choose this?

The reason why I chose this story as a debut is because it's too close to my heart. This story has been in my thoughts for the past 2 years. And I feel whatever we write from our heart it would reach the right audience easily. I believe this story has the potential to reach greater heights and give satisfaction to readers. Even though the story is routine, the way the story written is a little unusual in screenplay.

Who inspired you to write?

My friend's love and some incidents in my life is the inspiration of the story. This story starts from a marriage in a village near kutralam. Actually I had gone to a marriage there and that is when this story idea kicked off.

I can totally relate the story to few incidents in ur life..

Who's your role model?

My inspirations for writing are Amish Tripathi, Preeti Shenoy, Chetan Bhagat, Savi Sharma... In future I wish to write an out of box story like Amish... Savi sharma is my inspiration who was able to make a big achievement in self publishing. And finally Kalki, the author of ponniyin selvan, he was my biggest inspiration and through his book only I learnt how to write a screenplay.

What three words do you think describes you aptly?

Easy going, friendly , ambitious

If you get a chance to live as a character from your favorite book, which book's character would you choose and why?

Ram the protagonist of my book... His character has a lot of shades like naughty, charming, egoistic, kind hearted, and he loves deepa madly...

In few instances you had mentioned that love can be easily known through eyes and we can know what the person feels by looking into their eyes. Do you really think it's true?

Yes it's true....Not only for love... We can identify the emotions through eyes... More than words I believe in eye contact when someone is talking to me. I love to analyse people's thoughts... In case I feel that they are lacking in confidence, I try to motivate them.

Okay, but then if it's true do you think all people are capable of it?

I'll give you an example. Suppose we are watching some unknown language movies, we are not able to understand the dialogue but we are able to understand about the movie at some level... How is it possible? Through emotions we understand it... Right! It's possible but the only thing is that the person instead of sticking to his view, he should try to understand the other person's view.

So if it's like this, then why do people fall for the wrong person and why do you think they get cheated, especially in love?

Nice question and a tough one too. It needs a long answer. I'd say wrong understanding about their thoughts... They think that their lover's thoughts should be the same as theirs. It's not true. Love mostly does not have thesame proportion on both the sides...One loves madly and other one take it light... When someone wants to use them, they don't understand it... And it is not the victim's fault also.. Few fall in love with the wrong person because of the love that lacked from their family and friends... They easily became a prey to them... It will go a long way if we keep discussing about this..

In short I'd like to say emotions is a state of mind... Sometimes it changes based on the ongoing situations..

Well, that was a good reply.. Hope people will be beware of fake promises.

Nowadays very young people, let's say from 15-18 year olds, say they are in love.. and they madly do anything for it.. what do you think about it?

In teens the law of attraction easily works with them... In that age it happens... We can call it as infatuation... It can also be love but it's not an age to take extreme decisions in life... At this age they wouldn't even know if its attraction or love...

So what do you think is the right age to love?

There is no age limit here... It happens at any age... But if it happens after getting some maturity then there is a possibility for life long relationship.

What do you wish to say to all those budding writers?

I am also a debutant author and have to learn a lot and have a long way to go . I have a suggestion for budding authors like me, read a lot and write in your own style.

What do you wish to say to your readers?

Big Thanks to everyone who would be reading my book and kindly share your thoughts and feedbacks to my mail id:[email protected]
