A lovely talk with Inderpreet Kaur, the author of When I stopped living to impress and the founder of IPKinks. Scroll down to know about her.

Greetings mam..

Hope you are doing good. Let me begin the interview with the first question.

Can you tell us about yourself?

I am a Practicing Chartered Accountant and founder of IPKinks which is a good professional answer but if you want to know who I am in real, my answer will be I am a happy go lucky type of person, cool enough to judge people for what they are and competent enough to turn every pointed finger to thumbs up. I love to talk and I mean it (it is my hobby, sounds funny but I love to speak my words out), I enjoy to imagine a world that is totally mine-pretty much imaginary and beautiful.

Wow that's so cool.

When did you first start writing?

This question is very common and I want to give a sarcastic answer-I started writing first...uhmm probably when my mom handed me the pencil...sorry not to pester you more, I first started writing when I felt my words will look better than they will be heard.

Hahaha.. That's funny.

Do you remember what you wrote first?

The perfect A, apple one.....bear me pleaseJ.

Lol... I'm starting to love this interview..

Actually I first wrote my feelings most probably at time as I answered in the previous question...when my words look prettier than they were heard.

Can u share few lines from that?

"My presence will not define my work but my work will define my presence"

How did you get the interest in writing?

Writing is my passion. It is my true friend who is always there with me every time...laughter, sorrow, fun, wondering...like all the time. When I write I feel at top of the world, it is the feeling just like someone (this paper) is ready to hear me through my pen when everyone ceased to do.

Yeah. It's such a wonderful feeling

Who are your favorite authors?

I am a person who is not consistent with anything...like anything even my own signatures. I change my preference as per situation and mood but to quote a favorite one I will prefer Nicholas Spark as his novels have answered me how to make my writings more expressible.

Tell us about "When I Stopped Living To Impress"

This is my debut novel and it is totally dedicated to my mom and dad because I have scribed their showered learning's to this book. This book is a work of fiction but contains reality, love, blessings, expressions that everyone can connect from reel to real.

Is it inspired from true story or a total fiction?

Total fiction

Does this story's protagonist resemble you?

Uhmm...may be somewhere, Arohi shall relate me, as many of my friends who read the story connected it to my character but I am still in search of my Randeer (anyways jokes apart)

Is this your debut novel? If no, can you tell us about your first book?

Yes this is my debut novel.

How do you feel when you write?

I feel heaven, as if a cool breeze passed through in a hot summer day, as if someone hold you tight when you were falling down, like someone have hugged you tight in the most painful day. I write when I am happy and even when I am sad. Writing has always supported me, it understands me better than anyone will, in this whole world. This is the best part my life is gifted with.

What are your other hobbies?

I love to sing, I love to draw, I love to speak, I love to cook and people (I am not lying) say I am good at all these genres too.

How supportive were your family?

My family is my small precious and wonderful world where I am the main character. They have supported me everywhere may it be fighting for my CA exams or any battle of my life. However this novel was a total surprise gift from my side as they know I keep on writing short stories and poem but this time they didn't know I was writing a novel and when they came to know they were the happiest ones.

How was your publishing journey with blue rose publishers?

It was good.
