Interview with Francis.PM, the author of "BLACK GENESIS"

Greetings Sir..

Hope you are doing good. Let me begin the interview.

Can you tell us about yourself?

My name is Francis and am currently pursuing my MSW graduation in Rajagiri college Ernakulam, Kerala. I have love for writing and my dream is to become a writer.

When did you first start writing?

My love for literature began when i was young. I used to write few lines of poetry and fond of narrating stories to my friends.

Do you remember what you wrote first?

I can't remember what was the first thing i wrote.

Who are your favourite authors? Why?

My favourite was porforia's lover written by Robert browning. I don't have a list of favourite writers but i love books that will transcend my soul to another world. Fantasy elements are the best that usually attracts me.

Tell us about your book, sir.

Since i love fantasy elements i used the technique of magical realism in my book. Black genesis is a novella that revolves around two individual's conversation about the secret organisation Fotia an Enlightenment-era secret society founded to oppose superstition, obscurantism, religious influence over public life, and abuses of state power. "The order of the day," they wrote in their general statues, which is to put an end to the machinations of the purveyors of injustice, to control them without dominating them. The story opens the eyes of the readers about current systems which are under their ascendancy and how they have been manipulating human kind. Their true identity is revealed in this story with the use of magical realism.

What is the reason behind this title?

The title black genesis is used as the story begins from the genesis part in the bible. The story always had another perception given which is a bit differently explained for the development of the story. This title also is appropriate because the beginning of a new era or order is narrated. Thus the black genesis is used as the title of the story.

What is the purpose of writing this book?

The main purpose of writing this book is to make the society aware of the actions made by the authorities that were meant for the progress and well being of human kind. Mostly all the systems are corrupted and their actions take place right in front of us. It is moving from bad to worst because of the idle approach of the society. This story literally points out that the blame is on the society for not reacting against the injustices.

Is this your debut book?

This is my first work that got published.

Are Sam's views your own view on God?

Sam's view on God is never my view on God. But for the thrill this views are build. My views on God is our KARMA. I believe that our actions are what we receive back and that is what my view upon God. God gave the ability to learn from our mistake through which we will be able to find him from this world itself. Its the deed we do and what defines God to a human being.

What is your passion?

I love listening to music and to play chess. I like to travel a lot and to watch movies.

How was your publishing journey with blue rose publishers?

Publishing my work with blue rose was a huge help for me as i was able to make my work available to everyone through online sites. The professionals from blue rose were very helpful and was available and kind enough to clear all my doubts. They made my work very easy and gave good suggestions.

Finally, few words of advice for the budding writers?

Few words for the new writers is that never write for fame or money. The more you try to achieve them the far you will move from victory. The real art is being true to oneself and writes for the nirvana that is attained through hard work.
