Interview with Swapna Marathe, the author of "Love beyond the sparkles"

Greetings Mam...

Hope you are doing good. Let me begin the interview.

Can you tell us about yourself?
I am senior software engineer working in Bangalore. Personally, I am a very enthusiastic person. I put my full efforts in what ever I do. Being a mother of a 3 and half year-old beautiful daughter, I like to spend time with her. I like life filled with surprises.

When did you first start writing?
I had written my first blog in 2009 and continued to write for 1 year. But after that I was able to write only in 2016 when my daughter was 8 months.

Do you remember what you wrote first?
A blog about friendship.

I had written it after a night out with my best friend. That article was all about friendship, which is one of the best things that has happened in my life.

How did you get interested in writing?
I feel I can express myself in words. Whenever I felt I could not tell something to anyone I wrote it. That is how I developed interest in writing.

Who are your favorite authors? Why?
Nancy Drew Mystery stories under pen name Carolyn Keene. I like them because they are series of books with same mystery genre and they have maintained the consistency and excitement of stories.

Tell us about your book, mam.
Love beyond the sparkles is a beautiful love story. It is a story which maintains its own uniqueness. The story shows that it is important to keep patience in life to get something. It is easy to fall in love as there will be sparkles raised. This book is about a love story that shows how is it to stay in love even beyond the sparkles.

Reason behind this title?
I feel it is just not important to fall in love, it is important to stay in love.

What is the purpose of writing this book?
I like to express the feelings in words. I had an imagination in my mind about an ideal love story and I thought putting this in words would make it visible to the world.

Is this your debut book?
yes

Your views on love?
Love is beautiful. Love is like a soul it never dies.

Who has been your inspiration?
My daughter. From the time she is born I feel she is my world and whatever I do it will be for her. In fact, I started writing this book after she was born.

What is your passion?
Exploring is my passion. I like to explore, be it food, be in a new place, be it new people. I always like new things in life. I feel one life is very short to explore the world. Whether I like it or not after exploring, I would like to explore.

How do you feel when you write?
I feel light because I feel I have penned down my emotions through words.

What are your other hobbies?
I like to play outdoor games - volley ball and badminton.

How was your publishing journey with blue rose publishers?
It was pretty good. All the concerned members were available to answer my questions all time. This was really good experience as it was my first book.

When can we expect your next book?
I would love to write my next book. I would like to try a different genre. This time it will not be Romance genre.
