Ansh Pareek is a young and enthusiastic writer and the author of Why Only With Me (WOW –Me). Let us see what Ansh has to say about his book and himself.

Tell us about yourself Ansh.

I'm Ansh Pareek. I'm 19 year old. Soon to 20. I study event management, First Year from Jaipur and currently living in Bharuch, Gujarat.

Is this book your autobiography?

It's a semi autobiography. Most of it is my personal experience from which I've learnt a lot.

What made you write this book and get it published?

I once read a quote by Toni Morrison that said "If there's a book that you want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it." This quote inspired me so much that I got up and wrote all my experiences which I wanted to share with the world. This probably sounds filmy but it is true.

Who's your favorite author?

I love Jane Austen and Becky Albertalli

Any particular reason for it?

Because I feel they are such amazing authors and their way of telling stories just connects with the readers in most interesting and personal ways.

From when did you start writing?

This is my first novel and it took me almost 6-8 months to finish it and get it published. I write poetry though. Been writing it since 2015.

That's nice.. do you remember what you wrote first?

No.. I have written over 150-200 Hindi shayaries so I don't exactly remember my first one.

What are your other hobbies?

Dance,playing guitar,reading,cycling,etc

Can you tell me about wow?

Okay! I want to point out again that my book's name is "WOW ME? (Why Only With ME?)"

And my book is like a short story which comprises of all my experiences put together which has helped me to be what I am today. It shares the story and pain of an average teenager of this generation. It tells how a student who is weak in studies and is an introvert by nature and how he fights with the society, parents, relatives and his fellow classmates.

How was your publishing journey?

I heard many good things about the publishing house and thought that my book would be in best hands but I was a little disappointed through the procedure.

How supportive were your family?

Everyone is very supportive. They're so proud that I've written a book.

Which is your fav book?

It's so hard to answer that question. There are so many books that I love.

If you were given a chance to live as a fictional character which one would you choose?

I would love to be Inder Parihaar from Sanam Teri Kasam

Reason?

You have to watch the movie for that. You'll fall in love with the character

What do you wish to say to your readers?

I'd like to tell them to fight with all their problems. It might be tough but the end is always better than the problem. Learn to stand for yourself. The sun always shines the brightest after the storm.

Who has been your inspiration in life?

There are many people who have inspired me. I try to find inspiration from everyone I meet. Be it a kid or someone old.

What is your biggest aim?

My biggest aim is to earn a lot of money and settle down happily with my family.

When can we expect your next book?

Maybe after a year or two. I'm working on it.

A piece of advice for upcoming writers?

I'm too young to be advising but I want to say that write your feelings.
