Interview with Sourav Pati, the author of "Stories I never told"

Greetings Sir..

Hope you are doing good. Let me begin the interview with the first question.

Can you tell us about yourself?

Ans : As a beginner in the field of writing, I write to find escape from this chaotic world.I love write to non fictions stories as well as deep tales.

When did you first start writing?

Ans : I started writing in daily manner from 2016.Before that occasionally I used to pen down poetry.

Do you remember what you wrote first?

Ans : Yes, I do.

My first write up was " He is not addicted to cigarettes or alcohol, he is addicted to the pictures inside the password protected folder."And it was a microtale and got featured on various writing platforms on instagram.

How did you get the interest in writing?

Ans: I got interest when I was a child. And I used to see my dad writing books articles. So may be from there, I got the motivation to write.

Who are your favourite authors? Why?

Ans : Sudeep Nagarkar, Ravinder Singh, Durjoy Dutta and Savi Sharma are my favourite authors.Sudeep sir is my favourite because he explains the things so beautifully in simple language. Ravinder sir is just outstanding in narrating stories. Durjoy sir is one of the finest as his stories are heart touching and Savi ma'am for her inspirational stories.

Tell us about your book sir.

Ans : My book "Stories I never told " is a collection of 11 non fiction stories that changed the lives of the respective people on whom the stories are based . It has friendship, love, family and break up too. These are inspired from real life incidents.

What is the purpose of writing this book?

Ans : There are always a few things we hide from the world.We are afraid to share with a world. But I have tried my best to bring those untold stories infront of everyone.

Are these stories total fiction or inspired from real life?

Ans : These stories are inspired from real life incidents.

I see all the stories are about best friends, do you have a best friend whom you miss?

Ans : Not all the stories are based on best friends. It has love, romance,suspense too. And yes I had a best friend in school. I really miss him. It's being 12 long years we have not seen each other and even didn't texted each other.

What is your views on friendship and love?

Ans : I believe friendship is the most beautiful bond in this world when you have a true friend. And love is the most beautiful feelings of this universe if you have a loyal partner.

Who has been your inspiration?

Ans : My dad is my inspiration.

What were the struggles you faced while writing this book?

Ans : While writing the book, I used have my office work. So it was quite difficult to handle both office and writing. Still I kept writing. And there are a few stories in the book and it was too hard to give justice to each of them as it's about real life incidents and I tried my best.

How should a story or a poem be, according to you?

Ans : A story and a poem should be relatable so that everyone can relate it to their life. And a person will think that there is someone in this universe who can write his/her emotions in words.

How do you feel when you write?

Ans : I find peace when I write. I forget everything when I started writing. May be it is like a drug to me, a calming addiction.

What are your other hobbies?

Ans : Playing cricket and Singing songs.

How was your publishing journey with blue rose publishers?

Ans : It was too good. As blue rose is one of the good platforms for the new authors.

When can we expect your next book?

Ans : At it's earliest, probably next year.

Ans : It will be a book of poetries and musings.

Ans : As I am also new to this field I don't know what to say. But I will say "Never stop, there will be so many things that will come in your road as obstacles and you have to face them like a warrior until you win and get the kingdom."
