Interview with the author of Story Of Money – Major Navin Chandra

Greetings Sir,

Hope you had a wonderful day.

Please tell us about yourself sir.

I am an Civil Engineering graduate from IIT ROORKEE. I joined Army after that and served in Army for twenty years and took premature voluntry retirement and started my own Engineering consultancy . This was the time I realised the need for basic financial literacy

How was your experience in army sir?

It was good and I got good professional experience including the two years professional course in Netherlands, Europe

Nice sir. Is there any incident that really touched you? When you were in army?

Strong bond of team spirit, once as platoon commonder doing reconnaisance near Rajasthan border one vehicle got detached and lost among sand dues. The entire platoon Searched for them and could locate them in the morning, incident has happened close to border. Lost in evening, While coming back to camp.

How did you start writing sir?

Few years back as amateur I collected the material for book decided its name and also how it is going to be narrated by money to the kids. But I couldn't get it right specially graphics so I made a team of content writer and graphic designer and I got the book written under my supervision and guidance as I wanted.

Why you chose to write on this concept sir?

Inspite of my best education including higher education I did not know even basics of financial matter other than getting pay in the beginning of month and keep on looking towards next pay after one week When came to business sufferred problem and losses because no basic financial concept Then I thought like me there may be number of educated people suffering because of lack of basic financial knowledge. To help such people with my life's experience drove me to write this book

Have you written anything else apart from this book sir?

Technical projects for stopping floods and drought in various states In India. River cleaning projects. Nothing on litterary side.

Do you like to read fiction?

Yes, Monk who sold his Ferrari etc I have forgotten the name of others. The "Alchemist by Paul Cohelo

Do you write stories and poems too?

No.

How was your publishing journey with blue rose?

Good, I got guidance from the beginning and cooperation from the team

Are you writing any new books sir?

Not now but I may after some time.

What are you planning to write about sir?

Sequel to Story of Money or Story of Health

Can i know what are your views or opinion about digital india?

Digital India will help in improving economy of country and country's integration.

Sir what do you wish to say to your readers?

Learn and apply multiplication of money from early age. Don't waste valuable childhood.

What advice do you wish to give to young writers?

My advice is to fix a Publisher from very beginning and be in touch with him
