Interview with Jamuna Singh, the author of "The morning mist"

Greetings Mam..

Hope you are doing good. Let me begin the interview.

Can you tell us about yourself?

I am a dreamer whose mind is always in an another world and I want to pen those imaginations on the paper. But as I am in a service, working 10-11 hours a day, it becomes difficult for me to write. I don't want to pity on myself when I become old that I didn't follow my dream because of my job and family. So, I started to write down my every thought whenever I got time. I had even spent sleepless nights over my book. In simple words, I don't want regrets in my life.

When did you first start writing?

I started writing after my marriage.

Do you remember what you wrote first?

Yes, it was a short story.

It was about modern times relationships.

How did you get interested in writing?

I have always wanted to write but I was not confident enough.Just after my marriage, my husband started giving me advice on what should I do with my life. (It's a habit of his to preach).He suggested that I should start writing.I took his advice seriously. Of course, later he confessed that he hadn't actually thought I would be able to complete a novel.

Who are your favourite authors? Why?

Sidney Sheldon,anyday.I love his books. The way he writes suspense,thriller is awesome. Another one is J. K. Rowling -I am amazed by the way she creates a total different world making us dream about that world. I really want to write like them.

Tell us about your book, mam.

It's a story about love, friendship and revenge.

What is the reason behind this title?

In winters, due to the mist, we are unable to see people properly but slowly as it subsides we can see clearly. Mist represents the misunderstanding between the two protagonist of my story and how their relationship changes as the mist uplifts.

What is the purpose of writing this book?

I wanted people to read my stories.

Is this your debut book?

Yes

Is this a fiction or inspired from real life?

No, it's a fiction but yes small incidents are inspired from real life.

Your views on love and relationship.

For me, relationship is about trust and honesty.The basis of a relationship is love and not hiding things from each other.

Who has been your inspiration?

All the people in my life who are fighting for their dream and passion.

What is your passion?

Besides writing, it's dancing. I just love dancing.

How do you feel when you write?

Elation, Feeling of completion, Peace.

What are your other hobbies?

Dancing,listening music, reading books.

How was your publishing journey with blue rose publishers?

I am really happy that I came across blue rose publishers. Without them, I couldn't have achieved my dream.And I am really grateful for that.

In the next 10 years where do you see yourself in the writing field?

I want people to love my books and I hope in the next 10 years,I become a well known author.

When can we expect your next book?

It will take 2-3 years. I have already a story in my mind. It's a psycho thriller.
