AUTHOR INTERVIEW

Interview with Sreekara Govinda the author of "Is breakup end of love"

Greetings Sir..

Hope you are doing good. Let me begin the interview with the first question.

Can you tell us about yourself?

Myself Sreekara Govinda, studying B.Sc(hons) Maths, 3rd year in Hindu College, University of Delhi. I was born in Srikakulam, a city in Andhra Pradesh. Till my 12th class, I studied there.

When did you first start writing?

I hardly had any writing experience prior to the start of my novel. Once, I wrote a play for our school farewell. My next work is this novel only. I started writing this novel from December 26, 2017.

Do you remember what you wrote first?

Yeah! I even remember the event on the day I wrote it. My friend asked me to come out for a treat and I started writing it. Well! I spent around 1 hour to write the first words of my novel and then, attended his party.

If yes, can you kindly share with us?

Firstly, I wrote the college introduction scene. John, the lead character in my novel joins a college where the whole story evolves. On my first day of writing, I wrote how John felt while entering the college and his views about college life.

How did you get interested in writing?

Actually, I read my first novel in the first week of December, 2017. Later, after completion of my semester exams, I read few more novels. I got profound interest in them and one day, when I got a new idea, I thought of converting it into a heart touching love story.

Who are your favourite authors? Why?

Durjoy Datta for his romantic writings. Savi Sharma for her inspirational writings

Tell us about your book.

Is Break Up.. End of Love??? is a college love story. It is a feel good, emotional and heart touching story with lot of thrilling elements in it. It shows the difference between love and attraction. It shows what a person can do when he/she truly loved the other. It also shows how intervention of supportive parents in a person's love story alters the negatives into positives. Coming to the plot, John is crazily in love with Priya. They are head over heels in love and share an everlasting bond of togetherness. But, everything changes when he comes to know a life shattering truth about Priya's best friend. Things get even worse when he gets feelings for a new girl. What is that life shattering truth that he heard? Has Priya found a new love? What happens later concludes the whole story.

What is the purpose of writing this book?

The situation of present relationships. We can see all kinds of relationships some of which are as strong as a wall and some of which are as weak as cards pyramid. I feel that entering a relationship is like getting married, only thing which differs is legal acceptance. I respect it a lot. Then, breakup is like divorce, without legal approval and sometimes even without mutual approval. I want to show how much value a relation holds in a person's life. That's the prime idea behind this book. Also, as I got an interesting story, I tried to tell it in a more thrilling way with emotions present everywhere.

Who has been your inspiration?

Honestly, my script is the true inspiration to me.

What were the struggles you faced during the journey of this book?

The most difficult part is writing it as it is my first attempt. However, now I wrote a book, but it is again a new challenge for me to start a new one. Many times, I run short of ideas or else I will be left with many pieces left to complete a puzzle and every piece appears to me as a perfect one. Choosing that piece wisely and framing the lines as per that puzzle is the most difficult, yet enjoyable one. One more struggle and the most disturbing one is negativity. It disturbs the mental peace. When I hear people commenting that he can't make it, all I told myself is to have trust and faith in my story and in myself.

Is this a fiction or inspired from real life?

This is the question I am facing from everyone I met. This story is purely fictional.

How do you feel when you write?

I managed myself to be in the same mood about which I write in the book. If I am writing a sad scene, I made sure that I'm sad at that time. If it is the love scene I'm writing, I made sure that I am in the same feel. In the same way, I completed my whole novel. Irrespective of the mood, I enjoyed writing a lot. It gave me lot of inner energy and happiness.

What are your other hobbies?

Reading books, Listening music, hanging out with friends.

How supportive were your family?

They are very supportive, especially my mother. She believed in me and my thought more than anyone. My father never stopped me in the process of my debut novel and always encouraged me. I am always grateful to them.

How was your publishing journey with blue rose publishers?

It was amazing. I need to thank Aman Sir and Saakshi Mam for updating me about everything all the time.

When can we expect your next book?

Well! I am thinking about 2 scripts and need to start one soon. I guess it will hit the stores in next year.

Where can readers find your other writings?

This is my only work till date.

Where can readers connect to you?

They can contact me in instagram @Sreekara_Govinda or can mail me at [email protected]
