AUTHOR INTERVIEW

Janvi Shukla is a 21 year old physiotherapist from Vapi, Gujarat. The young energetic soul's debut book is "Are you there", a realistic story of friendship and love. To know more about her, let's have a short talk with the author herself.

Hello Janvi,

How are you and how was your day?

I am good thanks

Can you tell us about yourself?

I am Janvi shukla, 21 years old doing physiotherapy and I am fond of writing poems, quotes and short stories

How did you develop the passion for writing?

I started writing poems for family first.. They loved it and encouraged me to write poems. I have written many poems in hindi, english and Gujarati. They are on youtube. Then later on I started writing short stories. And finally I wrote novel. My parents were always very helpful in this.

Do you remember when you first started writing?

Oh yes! I was in 11th standard when I first wrote my public poem

What was it about?

My school days

Is "Are you there" your debut book?

Yes, legally. I have written a short story which is available on kindle named 'TWINS'. But this is my first book which I have published.

Awesome

Can you tell us about your book?

It is all about friendship. Its like I personally believe in friendship more than love so I have shown special friendship. It is shown how much old and new friends are important. And the message I wanted to share was 'Don't judge book by its cover'

Is it a fiction or inspired from reality?

Ya it is fiction completely

What are your views on friendship, love and relationship?

I am 21 yr old and for 21 years I have been single. I mean I believe in True friendship, that doesn't mean I am against love or relationships. But for me my friends are my priority after family. Friendship is something in which One can share anything while in relations there are few things which are to be hide from partner. There are many such things..so I more believe in friendship.

Do you believe friendship will one day turn to love.? They say "a boy and a girl can never be friends for long" what do you think about it?

I have 7 friends and out of them 5 are boys. They all are kind of best friends and I don't think I am going to fall in love with any of them

So are you a tomboy or girly girl?

I am neither a tomboy nor a girly girl. It depends on my mood.

More like khushi.. am i right?

Yeahh

Have you experienced any situation in your life like that of moksh and khushi?

Not exactly the same. But as we head from school to college it seems like our friends are getting new friends and they're not giving time to me...like priorities are changed. But everything is normal after few months.

What are your other hobbies Janvi?

I love wall paintings, making best out of waste, reading novels, I love social work...I have organized many events swachhta abhiyan, blood donation camp etc. I have written on letter to Arjun Kapoor which he has posted on his instagram, twitter and facebook account.

Who else is your favourite actor and actress?

Deepika padukone - I love her acting and Tapsee pannu. I like Akshay kumar too.

Your favourite author?

Amish tripathi, Paulo coelho, Sidney sheldon and Durjoy dutta

If you were given a chance to live as your favourite character, which book's character would you choose?

Sita from sita by amish tripathi

Reason for that?

She is beautiful, fierce, bold and above all she obey rules. I am in love with her character

Who according to you is a poet or author?

Poet or author is someone who silently can change the thoughts of society. They have power of imagination which is greatest of all

10 years from now, where do you see yourself in writing field?

I think I'll get great success

Few words for your readers?

I would just like to say that please don't judge any person so quickly..because you don't know from which situation of life he/she is suffering and don't trust anyone so quickly because we don't know for what reason they are with us.. And read more and more books. Lots of love

Finally what do you like to say to budding writers?

I would like to tell them that don't worry about the success of book..you just write a book.. writing gives us chance to live that story... a writer lives many lives before dying! Just write it for your own satisfaction.
