Honestly... I'm not a very big fan of poems and this is the very first poem book that I'm going to be reviewing so I'm not sure how accurate my review will be. I hope my review is helpful!

My opinions:

- I am surprised when I was reading this book. Like I said in the very first sentence of this chapter, I'm not a big fan of poems. Like I'll read them alright but I don't feel the urge to re-read them. However, this book is pretty good. The poems focus on mundane topics (ahem TMI references anyone?) but was crafted into something new, something interesting.

- I like how each poem has it's own special meaning, yet still keeps its air of mystery around it. For example, in the 12th chapter (aka the 12th poem), they were talking about a girl's expression. The message was loud and clear: the girl was forced to grow up because of all the hardships she faced. Yet, when I was reading it, I couldn't help but wonder: what were these hardships she faced? how did it happen? why? I like the fact that I could clearly understand what the poem was trying to convey and still have room to ask myself questions pertaining to the poem's topic.

- Throughout the book, I did spot a few errors. Either they were typographical or grammar mistakes but fix these small issues and everything will be fine. An example would be in the poem, 'They don't know me', there's a line that goes:

They haven't even tried

To listen to my blue

The structure is fine though I think it sounds much better is you could, perhaps, phrase it this way:

They haven't even tried

To listen to my blues

See the difference one letter could make? Some of the mistakes I found in the poems were tiny issues like the example I've given above. Of course, you do not have to correct it if it was intentionally written like that.

Recommendations:

If you're someone who likes to read poems or maybe you're feeling a little emotional today and is in need to read something deep, I recommend reading the poems in this book. They're pretty deep and will somehow relate to your problems without knowing it.

However, though this book was a good read, I am still not that motivated to read poems. I will gladly read it, but I still don't feel the urge to re-read the poems again. I'm not saying the poems were bad, they were great. It's just that poems are just not my cup of tea per say. Although I would like to that you author. You gave me reason to learn to love poems. :)

I would also like to apologize because I gave such a short review. Honestly... I couldn't find much to review on because they're poems and poems have special structures. I didn't want to review a poem and then discover that it was intentionally made to be written in that way.
