Title: Journey to Egypt

Synopsis:

James Black and Steven Blood finds a mysterious book that takes them to a new place.

Will they find the book and find a way back to their time or will they be stuck in the past forever?

My opinions:

- First of all, 1 word. DOG. DOG. DOG. DOG. DOG. DOG. What more can I say? THIS BOOK HAS A DOG. *inner squeal* Can I just say how much I love Whiskey (the dog)? Like the way @Wolfgirl016 described Whiskey sounds similar to how one of my actual dogs looks like. I like the fact that the dog has a very strategic role in finding the mysterious book which started the whole issue. 

- Spotted a few grammar/typographical mistakes here and there. The book is still ongoing so it's expected to see a couple mistakes here and there (to err is human, right?) and it doesn't affect the story so it's not much of an issue. Just a few tweaks here and there once the book undergo editing and it'll be fine. 

- The book only have five chapters up so far (like I said, it's still ongoing) so the story plot isn't very clear yet. I could get some subtle hints for what will come up next but that's as far as I could see (and I tried to imagine how the plot would turn out). The way the story progresses slowly and the way the main characters are introduced is also good.

- The way the settings were described was good. I could visualize how the place would look like though I wish there was more description on Steven and James. Just a short description of what they're wearing or how their faces look like would do. This would make it easier for readers to visualize how they would look like.

- When extra characters were introduced, their full names were given as well. If these extra characters do not play an important part in the story, I feel that it's not necessary to give their full names. I think stating their first name or even just their nickname would suffice.

Recommendations:

I only gave 3 stars not because the book is horrible or anything, but because I'm rating based on what I've read so far. I actually love the book but from what I've read so far, there's no major action yet. I'm actually excited to know how this book will turn out so I might change the star rating later on when the book is completed.

I recommend this for everyone! :) My favourite part about this book is that the character is a guy, an uncommon thing you see in books since most lead characters tend to be girls so kudos to you Wolfgirl016 ! It's still a relatively new book but it's already interesting. I look forward to reading its future chapters.
