So I've just reread Vicky Angel.

As many of you probably know, I've always been a big fan of Jacqueline Wilson - and Vicky Angel is no different to her other books for children. It's a sad book that touches on real issues, ultimately heartbreaking yet also funny at times and relatable to somebody struggling through grief.

Thirteen year old Jade is our main character, who is struggling with the sudden tragic death of her best friend Vicky. Vicky and Jade do everything together - and that's not going to stop now, as Vicky is still there, though nobody else can see or hear her. Throughout the course of the book we see Jade's path of grief and recovery, and also get a taste of a pretty toxic friendship.

I would give this book probably 4/5. It is a great book, but has a slightly disappointing sudden ending. I definitely recommend it.
