Everything seemed perfectly placed.  Word choice is excellent.

I liked the concept of Eden the planet, the species that live there, the competition, and how all the characters are broken in some way.

Nothing really stood out about the author's writing style.  The pace of the story was steady—medium.

Sometimes I forgot that the characters were on a space ship.  The author could have described the ship in more detail.  Other than that, all the other details were great.
